Hey,
I'm searching for a kernel with Loop Device Support for Linux.
I have a Wiko Bloom but it should work tho.
Thank you

Hi everyone,
I compiled two recovery images for the TrekStor SurfTab Ventos 9.7 tablet (Rockchip / rk3066 based), both seem to work on my device but need more testing.
Currently I am cleaning up the patches and preparing them for review and I hope the changes that were required get merged upstream.
You will find those images here: http://www.deadlock.dhs.org/rk3066/progress.html
I use rkflashtool under Linux to flash (check your partition addresses! the below example works on my device):
Code:
rkflashtool w 0x00010000 0x00008000 < filename.img
I'd be happy to get feedback, I did some testing but I surely did not check everything, so let me know if I missed something or if something does not work as expected.
There is no warranty of any kind, it works for me but I'm not responsible if your device goes up in flames or stays dead forever.
Kind regards,
Jin
Hi
I've emailed you about the 10.1 image you released and its potential to work on a device I am currently developing on - the Sumvision Voyager 10.1".

I did not have time to continue on this yet, so did not try anything beyond recovery. Rockchip seems really a PITA, kernel is not fully open and there seem to be a lot of bugs here and there.
Hi,
Even if this thread will be taken out from the dead i just wanted to express my thanks as your mkbootimg helped me identifying the problem why my rockchip pad didn't want to start the cwm recovery.
Thanks and its a pity you stopped hacking android

Hello fellas,
I have just found out that you can port any ROM to your own device (with some effort of course).
So, I would like to find out how to port CyanogenMod 12.1 (Android 5.1) to my Doogee Dagger DG550 device (it currently has the latest ROM available for it - Android KitKat 4.4.2).
It is a MTK6592 device (8-core CPU) - just in case.
Total noob here - need some help on the slightest things.
Thanks!

Would look at cms official guide http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_porting_intro (remember it isn't that easy to port the ROM to another device but it is doable with some effort)
There are CM12; 12,1 and 13 for DG550 already, I'm just having trouble with network on the CM13
I didn't know

Where can i find those versions of cyanogenmod?
Hi,
I have a Xiaomi Redmi note 3g with android 4.2.2 . I have TWRP V2.8.0.1 installed on this device. I'm trying to flash the latest version of stable ROMs available for this device but I'm constantly get the error 'Kernel does not support SELinux contexts' .
After going through several forums, I found that TWRP V2.8.0.1 supports only SELinux enabled devices and 4.2.2 kernel doesn't support that. I'm stuck now and not able to flash any other ROM.
Please help and suggest me what can be done in this situation.
Thanks
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Could you try an earlier version of TWRP.
Thread closed.

Not all devices have custom kernels.
Do a Google search for:
"Custom kernel for (your model number)"
If there is a custom kernel available for your device, that will find it. If that search does not find anything for your device then that means there are no custom kernels for your device.
