SIM card not detected after gpe conversion - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've just converted my xt1033 to gpe and flashed xt1033 modem. Everything works fine but sim card is not detected. When I pull out the sim card it tells me to insert a new one and reboot so I followed it but after reboot it still shows No SIM Card. What can I do to fix this?

Install compatible modem
Hi , if your xt1033 sim cannot be detected after gpe conversion , you must install a compatible xt1032 modem . Via cwm or fastboot .
Serach the forum .

Can you be a little more analytic please ? I have the same problem and I can't understand that to do :/

Install the 1032 modem via fastboot by extracting the firmware from stock file . Or if you have cwm/twrp recovery installed , search for lollipop or kitkat xt1032 modems and install via cwm/twrp using install from zip option .
The basic problem here is that our dual sim xt1033 when converted to single sim gpe the dual sim capability is not recognised by the xt1032/gpe firmware which is single sim , hence sim card error . Hence we need to install single sim modem (xt1032) for our phone to work in single sim .

[Q] Urgent.. help need. MOTO G stock.

Alright, so my MOTO g is from Malaysia and the other day I unlocked my bootloader and changed the phone to GPE and somehow got one sim to work. I realized my phone feels a little laggy and I tried reverting back to stock rom using Retail Taiwan version from the official motorola firmware link as it's the only Asia Retail which has umtds which is dual sim... It doesn't have kitkat firmware for dual sim as yet.. Flashing a single sim rom doesn't work. I was able to flash the taiwan version(4.3) of stock rom successfully but when I tried to update OTA it failed and then I tried to sideload the update and even that failed :crying: I really need some help to get back to stock kitkat.

Unable to read internal memory of Moto G XT 1033

Hi everyone,
I am using moto G XT1033.
I changed from stock 5.0.2 optimised version to stock 5.0.2 unoptimised as in default you can say.
The problem I'm facing is that none of apps are able to access the inbuilt storage.
Gallery app cant read the images or videos on phone.
I tried to download something in Chrome browser it said No SD Card present.
When I booted into recovery ( Currently using TWRP ) it does shows all the files.
Please someone guide me in the right direction as to what might the problem be.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Flash stock firmware.

Wouldn't flashing stock firmware delete all those files??
They're important you see.
At this point I don't see any other options. Just don't erase userdata and it should fine.

Guys when i flashed cm13 on xt1033 gpe, calls & message were not working so i flash xt1033 stock via adb. After flashing stock when i rebooted the phone android dead sign was appearing on the screen. I somehow managed to flash gpe and worked. Is there any way for forcess.zip to work again on marshmallow?
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63499113&postcount=511

It's okey. You will always get remote failure during flashing older gpt.bin than you have. Could you give us all logs from flashing terminal?
