After hundrad of Dollars loss....! i realized one thing that bricking is just about Deleting the boot partition because when there is no boot partition the phone will not bootup. exactly the same happened with my Android Phone.... i bought a new Xperia C3 Selfiee Phone With android 4.4.2. i tried many ways to root it but no fruitfull and then i installed a recovery image to Root it.... #BangGggGgGgggg!
my phone got bricked
then After a long struggle i failed to Revive it and also today i have no phone for communication because due to budget problems....!
but after a lot of experiments and extensive research i got a point that Custom Recovery or rom is not stable when u install them there is a danger of sudden Deleting of Boot partition Thats what exactly called hard Bricking.
In soft bricking Only the OS of the phone got Damaged but in hard bricked the boot partition Some how got erased.
so my Request to devolopers please Build up a method to flash Booot partition in android bcoz it will save many User from Doing suicide
#thankew... And also please suggest an method to revive my phone ,if u have any

Hi, I have a Kross GY-601 Tablet... One of the cheap chinese tablet you can pickup at factorydirect (Canada)
I seem to have bricked it when attempting to port Clockwork Mod Recovery to it. It does not show anything on screen or do anything, When I connect it to my computer.. It shows up as M6-CHIP in Device Manager as shown in my image.
The internal storage is completly gone as a result of my failed attempt to un-brick it..
It would be a great help if someone helped me fix this..
Thanks in advance..
-Henrique
PS: I'm only 13 sorry if my description of the problem is a bit bad..
Sooo,
You probably don't have proper drivers, use PDANet ones, they work even with obscure tablets.
You tried to port CWM or flash?
It's not bricked since your computer detects it
Last thing, do you have a backup recovery image or another recovery image that works so you can get it back up?
Daniel
I was dumb enough not to do any recovery image backups..
Also.. I ported cwm then flashed it with dd just poped the .img into the recovery block.. but since I didn't compile it properly when I adb reboot recovery.. It got into a boot loop.. so I tried to fix it but broke it even more... So then I tried re-writing the firmware for generic 4.1.2 chinese tablet.. but that messed it up to the point were it only shows as M6-CHIP.. i can only turn on and off.. nothing else.. no boot no screen light up nothing..
I can help you BUT....

Hello,
thank you for taking the time to read and try to help.
I got an Asus Padfone X from At&t and the refused to unlock it
Asus didnt help either.
not to bore you with details
but here is my noobish mistake tool form, i flashed the asus kernel .zip file to the bootloader using twrp.
now phone wont boot into recovery or bootloader
got the minimal tool which as you know include fastboot and ADB
but it wont detect the device ( it detected it before when i rooted the phone )
I made a backup before i flashed , but the problem i cant flash it to a device that wont go to bootloader or recovery
and wont be detected by ADB.
please guide this lost noob.
Hello Ultimician,
If your device cannot boot into recovery or bootloader it's a hardbrick. Flashing the wrong kernel will cause your device to hardbrick.
You probably still have a warranty, I'd go to your service provider and play dumb: "One day my phone just didn't turn on, I've tried everything even charging it."
If you know of someone that could JTAG your device you could go to them that might work, what the manufacture usually do is they replace the whole motherboard. ( What Samsung did when I bricked my device in any case.. )
Otherwise you could refer to these threads, be careful though they are not necessarily for your device. ( But they might be of help )

Carefully when they send a device back to the maker they can often pull information.like last install and all of that. If you had a back up. I would try to flash the stock firmware. They are ways to do this with jig and other tools. I would try to flash stock every way I could before I take it back. I had s3 and bricked it long time ago.after many hours of reading I fixed it. Please always when flashing make sure it's for your device. Wish you luck2
I am not sure what happened to my device I accidentally deleted a system file and many other files like boot and cust I don't know what I was thinking. And now my device keeps restarting and just goes into the screen where it says "Huawei Ascend Mate 7" and keeps restarting on the same scree. So I tried installing a custom rom and that didnt work, I tried to reinstall the backup I made and it kept doing the same thing I saw a thread with a ot so diffrent issue and I tried the method but it didnt work. So please Help me ASAP The advantage is that my phone bootloader is unlocked and I have CMW Recovery menu. SO if there are any methods of fixing my phone and installing the official system update please help me would really be appreciated.
My phone Is a "Mate 7" "Amber Gold" "32GB ROM" "3GB RAM" "Model-TL10"

Looks like you're gonna have to flash the stock recovery and reinstall the stock firmware to get it fixed.
I had a similar problem and going back to (more or less) the phone's factory setup was the only solution.
Hi guys, i am new to this forum and would like some help on restoring a bricked (don't know how bad) android tablet. It first got jammed on the start screen logo because of an app that i uninstalled the wrong way. I then tried to reboot it and that is where the problem started, so I decided to try flash a nexus or TWRP or a CWM image with amd with no avail but my phone was detected. CMD kept on displaying that the size of the images were too large, but the RAMDISK.img flashed. After this I also tried sideloading the nexus 5 image, since that's all I could find in the bootloader that actually worked. Unfortunately, as soon as i copied it showed 'aborted' therefore I rebooted it and the cycle began
The battery then drained and now I can't access recovery mode or fast boot (only the menu) which eventually goes off after a few seconds, and when I plug it in, it shows the critical battery sign then tries to boot, but doesn't charge and does this repeatedly. It doesn't display the boot image at all.
It is an Alps LC 007 Tab with some MTK kernel and a custom recovery and bootloader. Is there any hope of reviving my tablet? Please help????????

Seriously? I came to this forum with a mild situation and now I've completely bricked my mt65xx device doing things I didn't know how to do. It's been 3 days!
DAY 1
I try use adb to undo soft brick but the battery dies and I can't access the bootloader or fastboot or recovery but just the boot menu.
DAY 2
I try use the SPF tool with not much knowledge from the YouTube videos I watched and I end up formatting my device with only a backup of the system.img (which isn't even an image).
DAY 3
The device is completely unresponsive after trying over and over with a little bit more knowledge from research.
Now I'm wondering what would've happened if I got a response at least to catch my attention and stop me from doing things without knowledge of what I'm doing. I'm not forcing People to help but at least reply so that I stop. 108 views and no reply. Sorry if I sound a bit too grumpy but I am not happy. .......

Sorry for the late response ... we are trying to help, but xda is not our fulltime job. We do it voluntarily ... next to our jobs and real lifes.
As there is nothing about your exact device on xda, here are some useful threads about similar devices:

Hello, my Motorola e Android phone got hard bricked and it began suddenly with the first error message being constant boot looping and eventually going to an error message with an adroid on its back where it said partition was corrupt or damaged and the only choices were try again or factory reset. I kept trying again.
I tried to fix it and eventually ended up stuck on ap fastboot flash mode(secure) and it says oem locked.
I gave up trying to do it myself and want to factory reset but recovery mode won't work even if I press it, says that start up failed and goes back to fastboot mode. It's stuck.
Serial number is ZY22DLT4R and last letter is a V or W, can't tell.
I dont know to flash or custom rom. Tried a few but I only have windows 10 on my PC and it didn't install drivers properly and I need this phone fixed ASAP . I think I'm considered a newbie.
I also need to know if it's too far gone so I'm prepared to buy another crappy phone and lose all my data. I don't have days/weeks to learn tutorials about how to mod, etc.
Please help.
edit: I don't know if my bootloader is locked or unlocked.
