Have you installed call recorder or any other app that uses mic?
This can cause problems...
Did you observed, and exactly when the problem started?
Like after installing some app or any other issues like it fell in wet by water?
Only the mic of your handsfree is not working or of your phone too?
Actually i dont remember when this problem started..And i dont have any kind of call recording softwares which use headphones.and yes mic of my handset is working properly.when i connect the headphones with some other device like nokia 5320 it works perfectly.

You said, problem with button...
You may have installed more then
One music related app and made some as default to handle your hands free...
This may cause problem...
If possible , factory reset and try...
Or change rom...
If you are within warranty period, better to go to store without wasting time...
Ok.. I vl go and get it repaired...although its nt under warrenty...
Hope it wont cost much.. :-/

After the 5.1.1 update my speakers have become almost useless. Everything sounds weak. Music, notifications, calls, everything! Anybody knows any workaround i can do without root or reverting back to 5.0? Thanks guys. This is really frustrating. ?

I haven't used the phone underwater or washed it for about a month now btw. So the speaker membranes aren't wet for sure. Anyone can help?

I've experienced the same. It's not just you. In fact, I downgraded back to Kitkat because I couldn't take it anymore. And audio from the Walkman player is much better through headphones on KK too.

This sucks because everything seems to work fine except just this speaker issue. Will try to revert back to 5.0 or 4.4 as well maybe.

You know, I think I'm happier overall on 4.4.4. Better audio quality. Better battery life. Very fast and snappy feel. I like the recent apps behavior more. One thing I do miss are the Smart Lock options but that's about it.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the too sensitive auto screen rotating in 5.1.1. Ridiculous!

I have an LG Access LGL31L and in Europe I think its called an LG F90, it is on Android 4.4.2
My main issue is when on speaker phone I have to turn the volume up but the speaker buzzes (plastic vibrations) and the only way to cure it is to drop the low frequencies, but this phone (like many others) has no audio effects.
Is there an equalizer that is of very good quality with more than 5 bands that is really a system wide EQ?
I know there are some music players with good EQ's but I am not familiar with any system wide EQ's that are any good.
Looking for an EQ similar to what jetAudio Music Player, Poweramp or Onkyo HF Player have.
It must work during speaker phone usage.
Thanks
using an cyanogen 11 equaliser named DSL is great.
you must use it

Hi there. I got this old xperia z3 from my brother. I have this weird problem. The mic doesnt work on calls EXCEPT when im on speaker phone. It also does work on the Audio Recorder app of sony xperia from playstore. Has someone experienced this issue? Is my mic faulty?
EDIT: The phone is at latest .575 MM Stock Unrooted rom. Also disabled ok google. Tried restarting and resetting the phono. Doesnt seem to work
Check the service menu and try both microphones, this phone has 2 mics and one may be not working properly.
I have the same issue but with the top microphone not working well, I can't call using the speaker.

My primary mic seems to be faulty. The secondary at top is the only one working. Have you taken your z3 to the service center or to your local repair shops?

U could use some earphones with mic or, if your phone doesn't have warranty anymore, take it to a repair shop, that piece costs cents
EDIT
or, it might just be some dirt in the mic hole
