Xolo Q3000 with external DAC like Fiio E17 or Fiio E07k - Xolo Q3000

Hello members,
As our Q3k supports USB OTG, Has anyone tried using external DAC like Fiio e17 or Fiio e07k ??
Does our phone supports USB External DAC for music ? I am not referring to Headphone out from Q3K but connecting Fiio E17 to USB port of phone and listening to music.
I hope i was able to convey my question.

DAC / AMP FIIO E18 Problem

I'm trying to listen to spotify or other channels streaming using the tablet samsung galaxy note pro 12 by DAC / AMP USB (FIIO E18).
I am connecting my tablet to the DAC with a micro-USB to USB cable
There is a definite click from the speakers when I make the connection.
However, the audio can be heard from the tablet, but not from the speakers.
Is there a setting I need to change the tablet to get this to work, or a file for installation? thanks
Did you enable the Audio Output mode under settings>accessories?

I finally works.
Note Pro 12.2 works properly with the Fiio E18 after updating the Note Pro to Lollipop 5.1.1

USB on the go

Hello, does USB on the go work with the s6? I am into high end audio, and I want to plug an external DAC into the usb port in order to bypass the phone's DAC chip.
USB OTG does work with the S6, not sure about the DAC bypass though...
I've tried 3 different DACs (Fiio Q1, Cayin C5, Schiit Fulla) with the S6 and OTG cable using USB Audio Player PRO and I was never able to get it to work unfortunately.

external DAC compatibility list

as the title says, do you use or are you planning to use an external DAC with your Note 7? If so, did you run into any compatibility issues? For instance, I am planning to get an Audioquest Dragonfly Red if it turns out that I dont like the internal DAC of my soon to arrive Note 7 Exynos with my Westone W40's, but I will wait until I find some feedback on the compatibility of the two devices (Note 7 with Dragonfly Red).
I think it would be helpful for people, especially since the Note 7 has a USB Type-C connector, to know which external DAC will work with their Note 7.

With the suplied adapter every external dac should work.... usb otg works with all the accesories ( see youtube video).

is this also true for DAPs/DACs like the Fiio X5ii? In their official forums they claim the Fiio X5ii can not be used as a DAC for Android Smartphones because the Smartphone expects Synchronous Data Transfer whilst the X5ii is designed for Asynchronous Data Transfer. Now I know there's an App called USB Audio Player Pro which bypasses the Android OS and allows Async DACs to function but I rely on ID3 Tags that only Rocket Player can give me. I heard that USB Audio Playback was possible from Adroid 5 and upwards, so I would think that the newer Android OS can also handle Asynchronous Data Transfer, am I right in that assumption?

I'm glad to hear that, are you using USB Audio Player Pro or does the Dragonfly also work with other Music Players?

i'm using with USB Audio Player PRO and the a Beta version of PowerAmp that has USB DAC functionality. USB Audio Player PRO seems to provide better output (vs the beta PowerAmp) and, with my Shure SE846 in ear monitors, music sounds simply amazing... mitigates my need for Viper4Android. By the way, i'm using N930FD, rooted with SuperSU and Dr Ketan's (near stock) ROM.

the JDS Lab C5D might work

Poweramp beta does not access the amp on the dragonfly, that's why the output is lower compared to usb audio player.

Fiio Q1 works nicely. Chain is as follows:
Google Play Music (high quality) > Note 7 > Stock USB OTG adapter > Generic USB Cable > Fiio Q1 > Sennheiser 595
Works fine with my OPPO HA-2 with the USB C OTG adapter. But the USB C to Micro B didn't work with the HA-2's included Micro B to Micro B cable.
Also purchased Monoprice's new 6" USB C to Micro B cable, will update whether or not it works when it arrives.

What cable are you using then? A different micro B to micro B with the adapter that came with the note? I got the HA-2's cable to work using a different adapter usb c adapter I got off Amazon. Problem with that one is my note 7 says it's charging the HA-2.
I bought a usb c male to micro b male off ebay and it didn't work.

is there definitely a dac in the usb c dongle?

can anyone confirm! Is it a dac and amp
thinking of using it for an s8
or is it just a bog standard afapter
The dac is inside the phone itself.
There is definitely an amp in adapter and S8 sounds "better" (subjective opinion).
I can't get it to work
I've attached the dongle and it's not finding anything or playing via usb c
developer mode I've selected audio usb
Hello
The signal coming out from the usb connector is numeric and the sound coming from the earpiece is analogic. So by definition a DAC is mandatory in the dongle, it wouldn't work otherwise.
I even got a firmware upgrade for the dongle yesterday. So yes, definitely has a DAC inside.

Bowers & Wilkins PX with USB type C cable

Hello,
has anybody tried to use Bowers & Wilkins PX with usb type C male-male cable? Does it work for you?
I tried this headset with bluetooth. Sound is good but just good, I still have usual APT-X with no HD so wired connection could be the way it should sound.

If the P7 Wireless is anything to go by, the built in amp will drive the headphones better than using it wired into the phone.
