Hello,
I have a very strange problem with my HTC Touch Pro phone.
I'll explain my problem:
When you turn on your phone and you are on the "Home page" (the page where the time is displayed) there is a bar at the bottom of the display.
This bar says Phone and Programs.
When i access my volume control by using the 2 buttons on the left side of the phone a black screen appears with some bars on it to indicate the volume. Note that the black bar with the Phone and Programs buttons is gone!
But the problem is that i can slightly see the Phone and Programs text trough the black screen of the volume control...
The first time i turned on my phone it was clearly visible, but after hard-resetting my phone 3 times it seems to be all gone now.
What could have caused this problem? Are these texts burned into my screen or is my screen sensetive to white letters?
I really dont know what to think about it because it seems very strange to me that it is now gone after 3 hard-resets...
Does anyone know what may have caused this problem?
edit
When i still had the problem i checked out if the text that was visible on the volume screen was the actual text that should stand in the black bar on the bottom, but when i accessed the volume control from the Programs tab (notice that the menu bar then displays "All programs" and "Remove"), but the volume controll still displayed Phone and Programs, so it isn't the actual text that is visible, so it cant be something like a shine-trough or something like that.
Really dont know what to think, at this time 3x hard-resetting the phone helped and the texts aren't visible anymore, but i'm still worried that my screen is over-sensitive or maybe broken or something =\

The text is getting visible again after having my phone on "stand by" for 10 minutes.
Does anyone has a solution or does anyone knows what the problem can be? i would like a awnser today because i could go the the store tomorrow, i may be able to switch it for a new one if the screen is really broken.
Hope someone knows more!

Maybe some of you dont see it on your one Touch pro, but you will if you REALLY look close at the bottom left and right corner in your volume control screen.
Could it have something to do with lazy pixels or something?
edit
It seems to get worse when i have the phone and programs texts on my screen for 10 minutes, and then switch to volume management. Are my pixels lazy or something?
The longer the screen stays on with the Phone and Programs texts on and the icons of the menu etc, the more you see when you turn on volume control.
it just looks like it burns into my screen.
Take care! Maybe it burned into your eyes!
No, serious it cannot burn into your screen.
Only CRT screens can burn it, not TFT.
Hmm ok thats true haha,
But what else can cause such a problem... it is only visible if the phone is off stand by for a few minutes.
I had my phone on stand by the rest of this evening and just turned it on and now it is all gone again. But if i put my phone on the home screen for a few minutes, so with the texts, then its visible again on the volume controll screen
Had the phone on standby the whole night and now the texts are gone again.
They seem to get "burned" in somehow if the phone is off standby for a few minutes, but then when its on standby for a while they are gone again.
Just wanna know if more people have the same problem, or else i could send back my phone to HTC for a repair

Well that seems to be the problem over here...
But when i turned on the phone for the first time there was much more "image burning" on the screen, and at this moment it is all gone ...
Could it be that the screen had to "warm up" or something because the phone is just 2 days old. The longer i used the phone the less the image burning is now.
Do these screens have to warm up or something when you turn on the phone the first time?
They shouldn't... Especially if you bought it locally, I'd take the safe road and return it. I'm not sure if it's exactly what that source describes, but I don't like taking chances with phones as expensive as this.
Hmm ok, thats wierd because the more i used it the less burned in texts are visible.
at this point there is nothing visible on my screen anymore ..
isnt there ANYONE else here that has the same problem or that wants to try it out and leave the phone off standby for some time ?
Someone that has the same problem, or someone who wants to check their phone for the same problem?
I dont know if i should return my phone for a repair..
Problem is getting visibl again,
Have used my phone some time today, but i didnt have it off standby for longer than 1 minute, and still there is a white bar slightly visible on the volume controll screen.
This is definately a problem with the screen right? something like Lazy pixels or something..
Anyone that can help?
btw, its seems that only the white colors get burned in
edit
It only seems to get "Burned" in when i'm in a window with white bars or spaces, and it fades when i have the phone on a black screen for a while..
And it only happens with the HTC Volume app?
no, but its good visible on that screen, its also slightly visible on the home screen etc..
It doesn't only burn in when the phone is off standby, but it also seems to get worse when the phone is ON standby... what i mean is that it doesn't fade away right away when the phone is on standby...
Just went back to the store to get a new phone.
I checked right away if the new phone also has the same problem, and it does...
texts also seem to get burned in for a while on this new phone, but also dissapear when the phone is unused for a while...
Could you guys check your phone's if you have the same problem?
Just use it for a while and check the volume control window if there are images still slightly visible on the screen.
Hope someone can do that for me!
edit.
Could i be SO unlucky that i have had 2 phone's of 1 wrong production serie?
Can anyone please check out their phone for the same problem?
I would like to know if there are more people experiencing this problem so that i dont have to return my phone for the 4th time =)
also i have spotted this problem. but it happened just a few times when the phone was hot (using gps).
Mmm ok, and you had the problem the exact same as me ? visible on the volume control screen etc?
More people having this problem?
Would appriciate it if some more of you could check it out for me
It never happened on my Fuze, I think it might be a bad batch that your store got in. That could be why when you returned it you're seeing the same things, a lot of people with yellow spots in their screen returned theirs and got the same thing in the next one.
Sometimes my mt4gslide refuses to turn the screen on (sometimes when a call is coming in). I can tell its responding to touch commands, but simply not turning the screen on. Don't know why. My g2 used to do this also.
Anyway, I've looked everywhere for a way to force reboot. The usual power+volume+stylus didn't work.
Any tips? Really inconvenient having to take off the hardcase and then the back panel and then the battery every time.
Hey guys,
I am currently dual booting Linux and Android, was using Clean Rom, and I keep having a really weird problem. My screen keeps randomly clicking in the bottom corner (where the notification bar is in landscape), and sometimes the screen will shake if the page has a scroll option, like moves slightly down and up, and I cant really click on anything. Im trying to see if I can reinstall linux/cleanrom with a different kernel, but having some issues atm. Any suggestions? Note that this happenswithout my case on and without my keyboard too
So I have had this phone for a while now and at first it was amazing. But after a while it became really laggy. And now the side panel is giving me problems. It suppose to go away when you touch the main screen so its not in the way of you doing whatever you are doing. Instead it stays up and is getting really annoying! Specially when im watching a movie on my phone. A notification would pop up on the edge panel and instead of going away it stays up with all the side apps i have on there. I have to turn off and on the display in order for it to go away but it starts back up. Is anyone else having this problem and how can i fix it?

Hi,
I've recently broken my S6 by accidentally smashing the screen - it completely died as a result, the screen went black with a single green line on it at first, which then procceeded to disappear as well. I figured that I wouldn't bother repairing it since it isn't much cheaper to replace the screen than to buy a new one. But now I kinda want to do that since I can get a used screen for cheap. The problem is, before I knew that I had attempted to recover my data from the phone and succeded. The phone doesn't have root which makes things harder, but I did a little research on the subject and used a program called dr fone to do that, but since it asks you to pay up in order to actually pull your data from the phone (it only shows you your photos/calls etc., doesn't let you transfer it without paying) I thought to myself **** that and tried to cheat a little. Well basically the program asks you to put your phone in download mode I believe (it tells you to hold down home+power+volume down) and then uploads something to it that lets you use adb freely - although it doesn't really tell you that, so while it was uploading the thing I found adb in the program folder and entered the pull command to transfer the data onto my PC. While I was doing that dr fone was "uploading" something to my phone and got stuck at 90%. I honestly had no idea what I was doing but I succeeded in getting my data and didn't think twice about what I should do next so I unplugged the phone with the program still being stuck on 90% progress.
Now the phone doesn't seem to react to anything I do, it doesn't turn on, the LED doesn't flash (it did before) and I have no idea if it's able to enter recovery because the screen is dead and holding down any combination of buttons doesn't seem to work unless I'm doing something wrong.
What I would like to know is whether I ****ed up something badly without replacing the screen because I don't want to purchase one for a phone that will possibly refuse to work anyway. Is there any way to figure that out?
