If it's like previous Samsung devices, you'll need to be rooted to do this.

How do you flash the zip file if there's no recovery for the S6?

I'm guessing they just manually edited that xml file.

I copied and sent the code snippet to my phone.(sent a text via standard email client).
I opened the features file using ES File Explorer.
I pasted the code as the last line in the <!-- Common --> section
Saved the file.
Re-booted.
Call record is now on the dialer (Upper Left) after a call is placed.
Easy, peasy

I think it shouldn't break anything but just in case make a backup of your files before you attempt to install gmail.

Which ROM you are on ?
IF you are on cm9/cm10/AOKP/PA then you can flash Gapps in Recovery to have it back.

Place it in data/app and reboot. It'll autoinstall. Remember to change the permissions to RW-R-R, which looks like this:

Dude, push the APK into "System/App" and give it a "rww" permission.
My Note 2 will be up for running again and when I finished testing I will update the post.

The odex file should have been been with the system dump after you converted that system img originally and then after you deodex all it does is mod the odex file to be inside the apk as a classes.dex file

Rooted Stock Rom - Netflix errors

I just purchased netflix. Si far i have used it for the 1st time on Cellular data as well as my home wifi.
Error 0013 "can not reach netflix service"
The weird part of this whole saga is that on Chromecast.
I absolutely do not get an error.
I called netflix and they claim its on issue on the phone itself.
Anybody else having this experience?

Standard Samsung Email APK

Hi,
I have been using a custom ROM that doesn't have any email apps. I actually really liked the default Samsung email app for Marshmallow as it handles my work Exchange account really well.
Could someone kindly post a link to this apk as I cannot seem to find the MM one anywhere
Thanks in advance

I renamed the apk to SecEmail.apk and placed it in a folder of the same name then copied this folder to the system\priv-app directory and set the permissions but when I reboot I do not see the app.
I figured it out lol, the apk didn't need to go in a folder inside priv-app
Thanks again
