It's the process that scans for new/existing media (photos, music, vids) . Sometimes it hangs. Reboot.

"AudioMix" is process related to audio output from your device.
Every App or system process that has the permission to produce sound in your speaker may activate the "audiomix" wakelocks. It will depend on your config from each app.
Music players, for example, when in use will always activate the "audiomix" process and it should not be a problem for you.
System process like keypad sound, touch response etc can also activate these wakelocks. So if you don't miss them, disable them.
If these process are keeping your phone awake for too long you may have some app causing it. Look for any suspicious app that can produce sound and try to disable/Uninstall
hope this helps :good:

Have u added music/mp3s/movies/pics to your phone? Sometimes one corrupt media file can make this process go bananas. If so, you need to find the corrupt file and delete it. Not easy to know which one, but remove all media files first. Then reboot. Check if the process is ok. Then start adding slowly and check what is ok, and sooner or later you'll see which one makes the process hang. Not a fun task, but I know of people who have solved the problem this way.

Does anyone know if we can safely freeze the Samsung smart manager? That is an offender on my device

Check the t mobile general section. Turning off volte and wifi calling has helped the phone go into deep sleep

Thanks. I have heard of this before, and that it's easy to tedious a chore for me to complete. These were the same files I had on my S5 and didn't have this problem, but I did the smart switch app, so that could of corrupted some. I figured it was probably the music but was waiting to see if it would sort itself. Just going to delete them all and start a new, then see.

If you are rooted you may try Tasker - it is slightly complicated to adjust, but will open up a whole new world of automated control of your device. You find it in the Play store, but it is not for free, though.

GO Power Manager/onavo
Though you mention that the app should toggle data etc.. but you have not mentioned the criteria for that.
I have two suggestions for two different needs :
1/ To save battery : I think "Go Power Manager" is very good for this. It has options to change device settings based on battery level/time/your one touch profile preference. You can create and save profiles and trigger them as per your needs.
2/ If you need to save cost by reducing the data consumed then you may use onavo. It monitors data consumption and cuts you off after a certain user define threshold.
Hope it helps.
I think his critria is only data connection to remain on for just 2min at every 20 min.
Time base trigger for data toggling will perfectly manage by phoneweaver.
Even he can set data off during sleeping time.

Your wakelocks or horrible. You need BBS as stated, but the instant drop is indicative of a bug in the stock rom or kernel. If it keeps doing that after the wakelock issues are resolved, you may need to flash another rom.

I think Google search incorporates Google Now which yes, mega battery drain in my opinion especially if it is polling for location constantly.
edit: that looks like my battery stats when I don't try to conserve energy and have heavy usage.

So how do I fix this? Turn off location would somewhat render Google Now to be useless, as does turning it off.

Note Pro 12.2 LTE not going to sleep

Hi All,
Ive been having an issue with my P905. Android system is keeping awake all the time. Anyone else experiencing this? Any fix?
I've tried factory reset. It worked fine for a few days but its not sleeping anymore. I have two profiles set up, not sure if this could be an issue? I dont want to root due to warranty issues. Ive tried installing BetterBatteryStats but without root the guys cannot help.
I've tried reinstalling the official software without wiping but this did not help. All the apps I have installed on the tablet I have installed on my Note 3 as well, other that bloat.
Not sure what to do now. Please help.
Thanks

I had a similar problem, and digging around, found that the NY Times app was using up a huge amount of the battery, even though it was set to only update every 4 hours. I removed it from the Magazine UI page, and while I couldn't uninstall it, I did restore the app to the factory image and deleted its data/cache. That fixed it for me.

This is so hard without being able to root the device.
Backing up, when you say it is kept awake, do you mean that it won't go into Deep Sleep, or the screen is actually staying on?
Assuming it's not a screen timeout issue, the places I looked were in the settings battery section - it shows what procs are using up the battery. I also checked settings for applications under running, looking at who was accumulating CPU, and also the System Panel app, which gives a different view into processes running.
What I would recommend is to charge the tablet up, then right before turning in, restart it (which will reset all the usage counters) and leave it that way overnight. Check first thing in the morning for what has been happening during the time it should have been in Deep Sleep.

I'm not seeing any smoking guns there. If you're not seeing anything suspicious under Running in Apps Management or one of the other performance monitoring apps, you may have to just start uninstalling things and see if you can isolate it that way.
What does the battery chart look like, tap on that green/gray graph and take a screen shot. This reminds me of my LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1. LTE would consume battery like crazy sometimes, particularly when signal strength was marginal.

try the greenify app?
last i remember the developer released a non root version but im not sure if your device is supported.
search playstore for "Greenify" and get the non root version
it hibernates most apps until you run them manually.. you could use this to possibly pin point the app that may be preventing sleep? hibernate all the apps you can and then remove on app from hibernation list and see which app is the culprit... each time removing it from hibernate and then putting it back or rather replacing it with another one so you can accurately see the effect of each app on sleep?

first off, it being your first post, ill be nice. questions/help/troubleshooting does not go in general, it goes in the q&a/help/troubleshooting section. secondly, you should have searched xda before posting another thread, as we already have many threads about this. here is one that we have been using mainly, for this issue http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/normal-google-play-services-to-drain-20-t2519831
