Kind of annoying that we can't hide this from showing up in your notifications pull down (anyone know a way to hide)?

I have done some looking on this issue and it seems that there may be no solution, but I thought I would post in this forum nonetheless to see if anyone had any ideas. One of the little things that bugs me about my touch pro is how the title bar behaves when there are multiple notifications that are awaiting disposition. For example, when there is one reminder, say a task is due, I hit the title bar and the HTC large title bar comes up allowing me to hit the enlarged bell icon and bring up the reminder. This works great for me. However, where there are more than one notifications pending, say a reminder and an new email envelope or a missed call, if you hit the enlarged bubble, a new bar is brought up immediately below the title bar that shows all of the pending notifications -- the trouble is that these notifications on the second level are so damned small that I often need to get out the stylus just to access them. It would be great if this second level of notification bar were also enlarged to make it finger friendly. Any thoughts on whether this can be done?
The second thing that annoys me is the email envelope in the title bar. I am happily using TF3D which gives me a clear indication of how many new emails are in my inbox. However, most of the time, I need to actually open my mailbox to get rid of the little envelope in the title bar. This is redundant and a waste of time (and also exacerbates the issue above with multiple notifications). I don't think there is a solution to this problem, but again thought I would ask.
Thanks in advance.
Like the title says, I wanna know if there is an solution to hack android (2.2) to not display notifications in status bar when a SMS is received or a call is missed.
I simply don't want them because I use LauncherPro: it can display very well this kind of notifications in the dock icons so the status bar ones are unneeded. Also, I don't wanna hide status bar, I need it for other notifications like 3G watchdog, WiFi etc.
With a simple Google search doesn't seems to find something useful.
Thanks in advance!
for messages its easy just go to message and settings then disable the notifications and for calls im not sure this might solve half your issue

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I knew about this setting but it has a problem: it disable the sound notification of a new received SMS. So, it affects not just the notification in status bar.
It is really interesting that few people have asked this request. In fact, disabling this kind of notification (in a case of using an HOME app capable to do that too) is a matter of looking good. It should look „iPhonesque”
right right now i understand what you fully mean,
well i disabled it and just use sms pop up from the market by dev Adam K.
its free you should check it out maybe it will help
(i am no way affiliated with him nor do i know who it is just an app i like)

Well, thanks. But I'd like to use the stock messaging app instead of that. It seems that this is not a truly interesting kind of modding.
Right
Well thought I'd throw some suggestions out there

Hello Everyone,
I`ve got an idea of an app to read all the notifications from the android status bar and show them in the pop up window (similar to the iphone) with the buttons to dismiss it or open the appropariate app to deal with the occurence.
I find android status bar notifications a bit annoying due to the need to slide the top bar down and press the actual notification to deal with it or dismiss it.
There are pop ups available for texts and missed calls via third party apps and there are similar ones for notifications from gmail, voicemail and facebook possibly, but I don`t want to instal 10 apps to get all notifications as a pop up.
It would be handy to have an app to read the info about all notifications from the status bar and transfer it to a nice pop up window with simple two buttons to dismiss it (mark as read and remove from the status bar) or to go into the proper app to deal with it further.
There is an app called Vibration Notifier which seems to do a bit of the above - read all of the notifications from the status bar and then remind about them in the set intervals by either vibrating or vibrating and sound. The developer of this app did the job by getting the permission (from the user) to go via android`s accessibilty mode. I`d love to see someone going further that road and do the pop up window.
Has anyone seen such an application or maybe anyone willing to write one?
I`ve got no idea how to do the coding / developing stuff - sorry ;-)
Thanks for any replies.
Tommy.
Hi,
I have a few notification that stick all the time. One is from Good for Enterprise and the other is "VPN is activated by Mobiwol".
Is there any way to remove them from the notification area? I still want to get other notifications from these apps though.
Thanks
Hi!
Can anyone help me out? I'm trying to setup tasker to do the following, but can't find the way to succeed:
1) Whenever I'm in my house, vibration is off. I would like to have all vibrations off but my first intention was to turn of vibration on notifications.
I considered "Cell Near" context to identify my zone > Action: Alert > Notify vibrate off; Exit task for this
Couldn't make it work. Still vibrates with the apps.
2) How can I set my LED notification light to turn off during specific time (Even while charging)?
3) Is it possible to recieve an sms or toast msg with hourly meteorology for the next 6h after alarm is switched off (not snoozed)?
This one is my Atlantis quest lol.
4) Is it possible to inactivate browser (chrome, to be specific) response within certain apps? The idea is to avoid accidental ad clicks in certain apps.
Sorry if you feel that this might be borderline to unethical... I'm not sure. Just don't answer if you feel it's wrong or impossible
Thanks!!
