G920F - G920T - Cross Compatible? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My question is -
ON the S5 - the International and T mobile versions were nearly identical - but on the Note 4 - The US and International Versions were different - and roms were not cross compatible without flashing additional mods. (you could flash virtually any international rom on the T mobile S5 - while on the note4 you had to flash additional mods to make everything work)
how will it be on the S6? I know it is really early - but if anyone knows the answer to this - I would love to know.

Likely be able to flash international roms. Seems the s6 will be exactly the same everywhere

Thats good to know - have you rooted the S6? which varient? Any issues?

.
And how have you changed roms yet in 920T model from 920F ?
I have another question . When I change the rom to 920F will change the modem too ? And frequency changes too ?
G920T frequency :
GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900,
UMTS850 (B5), UMTS1700/2100 (B4), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1),
LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2), LTE700 (B12)
a 920F frequency :
]GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900,
UMTS850 (B5), UMTS900 (B8), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1),

Roaming in Europe

Hi,
I was surprised that I can use 3G in Europe on my Fuze, at least in Amsterdam and Italy. So, how many bands does Fuze support? 4 bands?
Cellular-Networks: GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS850, UMTS1900, UMTS2100
Cellular: Data;Links: CSD, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA
Taken from here linked from the wiki
so 2100Mhz is the common band around the world.

What bands do the F510S/K model support?

I'm looking to purchase this f510s/k model from Amazon
But i'm getting conflicting info about the bands.
According to one on amazon:
2G GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900
3G UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1)
4G LTE2100 (B1), LTE850 (B5), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7), LTE900 (B8)
Yet this one says
2G GSM: 900 / 850 / 1800 / 1900 MHz 3G WCMA: 2100 / 1900 / 850 MHz (Band: 1 / 2 / 5) 4G LTE: 2100 / 1800 / 850 / 2600 / 900 / 700 MHz (Band: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 17)
Both for the same type of phone, just different colour (would post links but the forum isnt allowing me to)
Which one is correct? I need GSM 850 and UMTS 2100 for my country's provider.
Also does anyone have this version of the phone? Does it work fine with AT&T / T-MOBILE?
Thanks

[Q] (Q) Galaxy S6 G920T (USA T-Mobile) and firmware from G920F XEO

Hello.
I bought a galaxy Model SM-G920TZKETMB s6 (64GB black Sapphire USA Network T-MOBILE)
I have a question whether there is an option to upload it to the Polish XEO Model G920F?
There are of course other modems and-frequency
G920T frequency :
GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900,
UMTS850 (B5), UMTS1700/2100 (B4), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1),
LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2), LTE700 (B12)
a 920F frequency :
]GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900,
UMTS850 (B5), UMTS900 (B8), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1),
LTE2100 (B1), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2), LTE900 (B8), LTE800 (B20), LTE700 (B12), LTE800 (B26)
LTE frequency depends on the modem ?
I`m afraid I will brick the device after installing Polish XEO from G920F .
Can anybody help me ?
Thanks

S7 930F (Global) or 930A (ATT) version?

I currently have the 920F S6. Seems to have weak LTE reception on ATT.
I want to get the new S7 but do not know which one to get - the unbranded 930F Global version (not even sure where to order it), or the 930A model for ATT.
Are we certain the 930A will have a locked bootloader ? I never felt the need to root the S6 so probably wont do it on the S7, but there were some restrictions on ATT that were not applicable to the 920F like tethering etc.
930A Bands:
LTE2100 (B1), LTE700 (B17), LTE700 (B29), LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2), LTE700 (B12), LTE2300 (B30)
930F Bands:
LTE2100 (B1), LTE700 (B17), LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2), LTE800 (B18), LTE900 (B8), LTE800 (B20), LTE700 (B12), LTE800 (B26), LTE800 (B19)
930T Bands:
LTE2100 (B1), LTE700 (B17), LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2), LTE800 (B20), LTE700 (B12)
Thoughts?

Att has already said numerous times, they will not launch a phone with an unlocked bootloader - period. Won't happen. I am not sure if anything has changed but in the past, the 900F did not have the correct bands to get LTE coverage in the US - maybe that has changed, I don't know. I am on ATT but am getting a TMobile S7 Edge - will get the SIM unlocked and will use it on ATT.
It appears the 930F Global Version only misses the LTE Band 30 - B30 (2300 WCS) used in some areas by AT&T. If that is the case, then it should work almost everywhere for LTE and would make more sense than getting the 930A with all the ATT crap on it and locked bootloader. The TMO version only works on 50% of the ATT bands apparently.
For SM-G930W8
4G FDD LTE
B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B12(700), B13(700), B17(700), B18(800), B19(800), B20(800), B25(1900), B29(700), B30(2300)
4G TDD LTE
B38(2600), B39(1900), B40(2300), B41(2500)
SO as one can see the Canadian version can be rooted, and runs ALL AT&T frequencies including LTE B30. I just wish I didn't already buy the AT&T version.
Could the radio / modem from the 930A be extracted for the 930F or is that CPU/Kernel dependent? I notice random cut outs in parts of Dallas where my signal deterioates (my at&t s5 had no issue in the same locations).
@juandhi
i had another question , the 930w8 have more freqs bands and modes lte hdsda , but cpu and all are same
so if its possible then flash 930w8 to an 930f , but the question is ...
what is the difference then with more bands frequencies or lte modes ??
can i feel a "difference" to the 930f then or is it only for other mobile partners that the w8 had more modes and bands freqs ( the 930f have mo td- lte mode and such things for what are those ?

Understanding Cell Service Bands - Does anyone, really?

Hello All,
I have recently been shopping for 3rd party phones to use with T-Mobile, and have been successful with two Xiaomi phones, a Redmi 5 Plus and a Mi Max 2. I also have a T-mobile supplied Samsung Galaxy S7.
The 4G LTE download speeds on the Redmi 5 Plus are consistently much faster than on the Galaxy S7, which I did not expect, and based on what T-Mobile says about the bands they use, what Xiaomi says about the bands available on their devices, and what I found for the Galaxy S7. I have never seen information that is as confusing as this, and becomes more so as I dig in to it more.
The T-Mobile support page for their bands in use is: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4988
The bands for the Xiaomi devices, which I've tried to "map" against the above:
Mi Max 2
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900,
UMTS2100 (B1), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS850 (B5), UMTS900 (B8),
CDMA800 (BC0),
TD-SCDMA2000, TD-SCDMA1900,
LTE2100 (B1), LTE1800 (B3), LTE850 (B5), LTE2600 (B7), LTE900 (B8),
TD-LTE2600 (B38), TD-LTE1900 (B39), TD-LTE2300 (B40), TD-LTE2500 (B41)
Redmi 5 Plus
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 40(2300), 41(2500)
Galaxy S7
2G GSM: GSM850, GSM900, dcs1800, pcs1900
3G UMTS: B1 (2100), B2 (1900), B4 (AWS), B5 (850) 3 G TDSCDMA: B34 (2010), B39 (1880)
4G FDD LTE: B1, B3 (1800, 2100), B2 (1900)), B4 (AWS), B5 (850 B18), B7 (2600),
B8 (900), B12 (700), (800), B19 (800), B20, B30 (2300) (800), B29 (700)
4G LTE TDD: B38 (2600), B39 (1900), B40 (2300), B41 (2500)
According to Xiaomi's specs, I am not supposed to have LTE Band 4 on the devices regardless of whether it's FDD or TDD, yet when using the Redmi 5 Plus with the Network Cell Info Lite app, it shows me as being on LTE band 4. The Galaxy consistently shows up on band 12. All checks are being done in the same physical location, my home, so as not to make this any more messy than it already is.
Then add to that the T-Mobile page regarding bands notes band 66, which is described as, "Extension of band 4 on 1700/2100 MHz," which could account for the Redmi being considered on band 4, but Xiaomi does not designate band 4 as falling into these ranges, and use band 1 instead.
I am just curious if there is any site that really pulls this all together in a comprehensible way. Most that I've reviewed are not up to date or contain obvious errors just based on the fact that my Redmi 5 Plus does, indeed, get 4G LTE and a number of sites say it should not, but you can't argue with field testing that shows that it does.
Any insights would be much appreciated.
