TF300TG 4.2.1 Stock ROM - Root Guide - TWRP Recovery

TWRP ROOT the ASUS TRANSFORMER TF300TG with Android 4.2.1 jb & WW_epad-10.6.2.10
Finally i rooted my device successfully and it's how i did it ,
This guide is for helping you to root TF300TG with stock rom and this recovery process is only for those devices which have Jelly Bean 4.2.1 stock rom installed and have a unlocked bootloader.
Step-by-step guide:
1- Power off the tablet.
2- Download and extract attachment file ( twrp-2.6.0.0-tf300tg-4.2.rar ).
3- Rename extracted file(twrp-2.6.0.0-tf300tg-4.2.blob) to twrp.blob and copy it to your fastboot folder.
4- Connect the tablet to PC via USB cable.
5- Now enter Recovery mode. For this press and hold Volume Down key along with Power key, now press Volume Down key to highlight USB icon or RCK icon.
6- Open command prompt. For this, go to Start. Select ‘Run’ and type ‘cmd’. go to your fastboot folder.
7- type following command-line in cmd-window:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob
Remember : Wait a minute until you've seen in the CMD window that the upload is finished.
8- Your device will reboot if not , type following command-line in cmd window to reboot:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot
9- After reboot you just have to keep Volume Down button along with Power button to come back to the selection menu.
in this menu select RCK by volume down and after that you only have to press the Volume Up button, so you get to TWRP mode.
10- In TWRP, tap Reboot, then System and It will ask you if you want to install root so Swipe to install.
11- Once your reboot into the android os follow the SuperSU instructions to complete the root process.
10- Congratulations, now you're just flash the TWRP recovery and enjoy being Rooted.

Can I use ghis on my us tf3oot of course change file names and stuff. Because I cant for the life if me root this 4.2.1 bootloader im unlocked already. But is the computer saying command not recovnized

You will have to use the tf300t version of TWRP if you want to use it with a tf300t. Use the -42 version.

i have asus tf300tg 4.2.1 WW_epad-10.6.2.11 i have two questions first is can i use twrp-2.6.0.0-tf300tg-4.2.blob for my asus and the second is how to creat fastboot folder do i have to use android sdk manager.Sorry for my question but i am very confused

TWRP for TF300T work with no issues on TF300TG
Initialy flashed v2.5.0.0 then updated to v2.7.1.0

Will this also work for the latest firmware 10.6.2.11?

Well, I had an error on my TF300TG Android 4.2.1 when choose RCK. Np matter how many times I try. Could it be the drivers?

Worked for me too, TFT300TG with 10.6.2.11. Thank you!

I have ASUS TF300TG with unlocked bootloder (4.2.1 kernel 10.6.2.11) official. I installed all the software's (Minimal ADB and Fast boot), but when choosing RCK icon gives me an error with the green robot. What can I do?
*Tablet loaded normally.
Please help me!

Hey this is avi...i will not go in much details ....so for unlocking bootloader u need following things:-
1).adb and fastboot driver
2).mtk devices(optionally)
3).brain ...
4).usb cable and a connected mobile to it
5).turn on usb debugging mode and enable oem unlocking feature
So,lets start the process:-
1).Install adb driver nd fastboot drivers and go on that folder where adb is installed(default:local disk c>adb>and 4 files will be there
press shift key and right click on empty area..there u can see an option as'open command window here' click on it....u r now on cmd in adb folder.....
2).run these comands:-
>adb devices
>adb reboot bootloader
>fastboot devices
>fastboot -i 0x17ef oem unlock
(Now an popup will come which shows whether to unlock or not....some peoples complaint that they cannot select yes option by pressing volume up key....so what i found is press volume up+volume down+power button (or first press and hold volume up then press volume down+power button...)u will saw *pass* ..thats what u want)
So now ...to check whether u have unlocked bootloader or not simply do the following :
Plug out usb cable....
Restart ur device(if mobile resets then ur bootloader is unlocked or do the following...turn on developer mode abd oem unlock...restart ur device using adb(adb reboot bootloader) or by buttons (volume down+power button) and select fastboot mode........now type this command to check bootloader status
>fastboot getvar unlocked
U will see unlocked:yes.....(if not check whether all the drivers u installed,comfortably installed or not;do these steps again)
Voila ur bootloader is unlocked now.....

stuck on fastboot screen
How to do all this without 5th point as my phone is in fastboot mode i cant switch it on all the button works done almost everything done its stuck on fastboot screen.

How do i do this without a computer

Anyway to relock bootloader?

Is there any successful way to relock bootloader, i wanna unlock the bootloader only if i can relock, because i need to sell it later. It's an EU device, i think as it's belongs to Pakistan.

So in order to lock BL, you just have to repeat the same steps as unlocking but a little differently.
I'm new here so cant put links here, but i'll try to make it simple
steps:
1. Download the unlock tool again to apply to exit the in-depth test.
2. Click “Apply to exit in-depth test”. Your phone will reboot automatically, and you will enter the Fastboot mode.
3.In the Fastboot mode, go to the minimal adb and fastboot folder and use the engineering command below on your PC to re-lock the bootloader.
– Enter the command: adb reboot bootloader
– Press “Enter” on your keyboard
– Enter the command: fastboot flashing lock
– Press “Enter” on your keyboard
4.Press the Volume Up button to select the “Lock bootloader” option
5.Then enter command “fastboot reboot”. The phone will reboot and exit the in-depth test mode. All user data on the phone will be erased – I recommend you perform a data backup prior to applying in in-depth app.
(Also please take backups of boot, recovery and all the essential files via twrp [or whatever recovery software you'd be using] )

I unlocked its bootloader + I rooted it.
Now I want to revert it all back.
How can I do that safely?

if you have used magisk then you can click on unstill in the app then complete uninstall, then the device will get unrooted after that continue with the above steps in order to relock the bootloader

Hi,
I performed the same steps mentioned, but phone went in boot loop, my fastboot mode is inaccessible and i cannot even boot.
PS. I had the latest C.15 update, realme UI recovery and unlocked bootloader. Can you show me some way to get out of this?

Ok so can't tell you what the difference is but I can tell you how to get there. I've done Samsung and pixel for many years so first time OnePlus. There are two ways.
First way from adb terminal on computer. Type adb reboot fastboot. This gets you into fastboot where you can't do anything. Now you type in fastboot reboot fastboot. This will get you into what they call fastboot d but it's more like bootloader. This is where you do all commands.
Second way from your phone. Go to developer section toggle on the advanced reboot option. Go to button and gestures then go to long press the power button then select power menu. Now you can long press the power button and choose bootloader which will get you there.

7. Now Power Off Your Phone, And Press Power + Home + Volume Up Button (Keep Holding It Until You See The White Powered By Android Screen) Now Release Both the Buttons (Home and Volume Up But Keep Holding the Power Button Until You are In the Stock Recovery)
8. Once You're in The Stock Recovery Mode, Use the Volume Keys to Navigate and Power key to Confirm, Go to Apply Update From ADB and Confirm
7. Now you Plug in Your Device to The Computer and Type
