[Q] Low call sound problem with CM12 nightly Xperia L - Sony Xperia L

According to the rules I have searched in this forum for solutions but there are none.
So i created this thread, Flashed with cm12 nightly 20150301, with out Thunderzap, and i am facing this very low call volume on phone ear piece as well as on head phones, I'm asking is there any available solutions for this problem? Will flashing of Tz kernel fix this?

Weird....I am also on same nightly but not facing such issue......Which recovery did you use to flash CM12 ? bcoz when I flashed CM12 using Philz touch & TWRP recovery had some issues(the time on status bar , home screen was stuck, alarm didn't worked) but when I re-flashed it again using CWM it worked perfectly. Follow the below guide and try once again...hope it might help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/guide-to-running-android-lollipop-t3041413
Also don't install old TZ 4.13 kernel.....it might create some new problem, wait for TZ 4.14.

[Q] Help! Lost all sensors after ColorOS -> CM11

Hi all,
Got my OnePlus One last week. It's a Chinese version that comes with ColorOS. I immediately tried to flash CM11 nightly onto it after I checked the phone is working.
For some reason I thought I could flash CM11 directly, and so the first thing I did was installing TWRP 2.8.0.1. Then, I copied CM11 zip in to /sdcard , booted to TWRP recovery, wiped all partitions (including System) and then flashed CM11. In hindsight, I believe it was the wrong way to get CM11. I could have wiped something really important (sensors drivers?) when wiping System.
Initially, CM11 nightly seemed to work OK. Then I noticed the Auto-Rotate is not working at all. I installed CPU-Z and *gasp*, there's not a single sensor listed in the CPU-Z Sensors tab!
I spent hours today trying various methods (flash CM11S, flash ColorOS, flash /persist, /reserve4 partitions). However, the sensors are still dead! Besides auto-rotate, I think auto-brightness, proximity sensors are all dead.
Is there any way to get the sensors working again? Your help is much appreciated!
Try http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-return-opo-to-100-stock-t2826541 and see if your sensors work after restoring to factory images.
Someone else said only twrp 2.7 is supported for opo, another guy had similar device breaking problems with 2.8.
I'm using TWRP 2.8.0.1 and have no problems. TWRP 2.8 had problems, but 2.8.0.1 resolved them.
Thanks a lot for the quick reply, zephiK! I've run flash-all.sh and I'm in CM11S now.
CPU-Z no longer shows an empty Sensors list! however, only the following 4 sensors have readings:
AK8963 Magnetometer
AK8963 Magnetometer Uncalibrated
TMG-3993 IR_Gesture & Proximity
TMG-3993 Ambient
No readings for the rest...
Does auto rotate work? I'm not really sure how your sensors disappeared in the first place, its very odd.
/system is wiped on every ROM flash anyway so that's not the reason. Glad it's working better at least. Any more issues with the sensors other then some not showing?
Nope, the auto-rotate is still not working.
I've just rebooted CM11S, and... the Sensors tab in CPU-Z became empty again! This is very strange indeed...
I think t is a kernel problem,
Maybe you van flash the original boot.img
Rebooted again. The list of sensors are showing in CPU-Z again, and the same 4 lines have readings (AK8963 Magnetometer, TMG-3993). Still no auto-rotate.
My gut feeling is that there is a low level corruption in one of the "special" partitions. By special I mean the ones that are there but not included in any of the ROMs or factory images. Unfortunately, I don't have a NANDROID backup to restore from (Huge mistake on my part).
Is there a way to download an NANDROID image containing those special partitions?
@gurby1, I thought about kernel problem too, but I've tried flashing many ROMs and kernels:
CM11S 33R
CM11 Nightly 20140296
Franco Kernel r20
ColorOS 2.0 beta
ColorOS 1.2
and the results were the same - broken auto-rotate.
Bump. I'm still looking for a full partitions dump of the OPO.
Something similiar to this one for LG G3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2766437

Hello,
Did you find a solution ? I have exactly the same issue as you. It even worst, I don't see any sensor on my device. I have installed many ROMs without any success. I hope it is not a HW problem
Thanks.
Guys.. I also have this issue..
Glad if there any solution on this...
Same problem
Guys any solution yet? I'm getting annoyed by this so much.. Please post here if u have found any solutions. Thx.
I also have the sensor problem which is all sensor is "not supported" in antutu and empty in CPU-Z sensor tab. I fixed it by flashing the persist.img from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/fix-brickloop-audio-fx-fc-efs-corrupt-t2879061
I know it's a very old topic, but was someone able to recover the non working sensors? It's hard to believe it's a hardware issue, as the proximity sensor should be completely separate from the e.g. accelerometer...
Tried flashing all .bin files via fastboot with no luck...

Notification light not working with cyanogenmod
Hi,
I'm using cyanogenmod (m6 and afterwards the current daily builds) on my moto g and for quite some time I have the problem that my notification light is not working. I tried out installing the motorola led activator widget, but this doesn't help. Even when trying out an LED tester app nothing happens. The LED is not broken though as it lights up when trying to boot my moto g on low battery. Do you have any ideas how to solve this?
Thank you in advance!

Does the ROM still have the low ram bug ?
Problem audio speakers CM11 / Stock ROM
How about, first of all, I'm new here and do not speak English, so I excuse my writing.
I have a problem with my Moto G LTE (XT1040) with Stock ROM 4.4.4 KK Brazil, although I am from LatinAmerica.
Well, I have not much to this terminal, but a few days ago I had some problems with the rom Stock, restarting not it caught more, so I decided to flash the latest rom Cyanogenmod (specifically 20,141,012) due to some stability issues decided you go back to the Stock, having the same error when freezing some applications Motorola as usual to, so back to CM and switch to the "20141016" to the few hours I started to fail the camera, remained frozen when taking a photo . After that, it went back to flashing CM rom and had the same errors, updating the "20141018" was the same, but a new bug, and could not hear the music or videos without headphones was added, calls were heard if it was not for speaker, so I decided to go back to the Stock, but apparently the problem was continuing, feel that the speakers are damaged, but the alarms or notification sounds if they worked properly. Now try wipes Cache / Dalvik from CWM but only achieved a temporary solution, put a good song and all, but to change it or put it back the audio is going.
Help me, do not know what else to do, I guess that having unlocked the bootloader and lost my warranty
Thanks in advance if this post is incorrect or I violate any rule, excuse me, I'll delete.
I'm also trying to get GPS to work on my Moto G LTE in cm11:
Based on what I read here, I reflashed stock, and tried it out, had no problems at all. Then restored the cm11 nandroid I had made, and it couldn't see any satellites still. Will restoring the nandroid backup also restore the not-working-gps then? What is being saved by unlocking the gps? Will I have different results from backing up everything with titanium backup, then going back to stock, using gps, reinstalling cm, and restoring the backed up apps? It's much more of a pain to do it that way, but if it works, I'll find the time...
This is a canadian xt1040, btw, in case it makes a difference.
UPDATE: I went ahead and reinstalled stock, played with gps for a while, and it worked without any trouble, then reinstalled CM11 (oct 21 nightly this time) restored my backed up apps with titanium backup (not any system apps). Unfortunately, still no gps at all. It never sees a single satellite. Is there anything else to try?
Hello,
First of all, thank you and all people to contributing and helping developing CM for this device!
I only have one question about GPS bug :
You indicate that it's necessary to have a GPS lock in the stock ROM first to enable GPS in CM.
Does a fix for this bug is intended/possible or the only one solution is to reinstall the stock rom, enable GPS and install CM?
Thanks in advance.
Audio solved
It updated my previous query, I could solve the problem of audio speaker, I began to disassemble the phone and as imagined, I found steel wool at the entrance and were making contact, so the cell believed to have headphones all the time .
Enable GPS in Moto G Nightly
This is in response to jac0708 in the thread this thread who asked:
Mind expanding on these two? What is the low ram bug? And how do you get a lock from stock for the gps fix?
Sorry for noobishness

The answer I found for the GPS not working was that when I installed CM11 within hours after taking delivery of my Moto G, the GPS would not get a fix. The solution is explained here by colinw:
Posted 11 October 2014 - 10:42 PM
Okay I just fixed my problem following some other post for a Moto phone.
1) Made a (nandroid) backup using clockwordmod of my current setup (cyanogen 11)
2) Restored old backup of a stock rom (I restored back to the one that came with my phone)
3) Then I had to USE the GPS - hadn't done that yet. Also made sure it was set to Device Only mode in settings->location because someone somewhere suggested it.
4) Restored to cyanogen rom.
5) Working!!

Just wanted to add that it doesn't always work. I tried at least three times, restoring stock, using gps, and then restoring my backup before I had gps working in CM. But it does work now! Be patient, and maybe just leave the phone with the stock, sitting on maps for a while. Perhaps I rushed it before?

Yeah, it should. The source has been buildable for a long time, but they needed someone with the device to act as a maintainer in case of the odd bug. So I managed to convince them to go ahead and turn on the nightlies.
I'm fairly certain as of right now it's next in the build queue, so we should see it in the next 10-15 minutes hopefully. There's already a placeholder activated for it on the cmxlog site for cm12 as of this morning: http://www.cmxlog.com/12/d800/ ... only thing stopping it would be a build failure.
Same general requirements from CM11. Should just work, loki'd, etc. There's a new CAF kernel coming about, and that'll be bumped. Fun times ahead
PS> since your post is at the top of the forum, could you please update your OP to reflect the new nightlies? Thanks
I installed the new nightly about an hour ago. Everything seems good so far. Battery life seems good too. I will update after a little more use.
Yeah!!!
I have had one random reboot so far but hasn't happened again.
Using both stock modem and the modem provided on the link in the OP, rotation is not working.
I flashed the 10d modem and rotation is working for me. Here is the file name. LGD800_10D_RADIO.zip
I was using the 10O modem and everything worked perfect, even rotation.

This. Fixed sensors as well as MMS issues. It fixed rotation/compass etc. immediately. To fix MMS, I had to go to Settings -> Mobile Networks -> Network operators -> Search Networks (manual option) -> then select two different networks that were not AT&T (it is a slow process)...wait until they both fail and the select the top AT&T network choice and wait for it to connect...reboot... resolved the issue for me.

Try version 4 of the toolkit.
That worked for me.
Also, make sure you do exactly as the desctiption says, don't change the order of actions (as i did) because then it will not work.
First make sure that you pc has the right drivers (or use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979)
Then use v4 from this link and use the right order (http://en.miui.com/thread-117336-1-1.html)
So first TWRP then root (if you still need it).

Mi4i going into bootloop after flashing CM based roms!
I have tried almost all of the custom roms(latest ones) available for Xiomi mi 4i but neither of them actually worked for me. Whenever i flash the roms, it gets installed correctly and when it asks for language selection, it shuts off. I have tried flashing with both twrp and cwm, cleared cache, dalvik cache but problem never solved. I think the CM has some serious problems with this devices.

Mine is not directly going into boot loop.
Sometimes it works a few minutes (up to 20 or so), but it will shut down.
When connected to power it does NOT shut down, but still.
I tried yesterday the CM 12.1 version from Smoki3 from july 30th and that seems to work, but i did not have any time any more, so i had to restore my nadroid backup.
Will try it later again (maybe tomorrow) if that really does work, or if it was just to short time for it to shut down.

I think I was using developer rom and flashed CM on it directly so the problem occured. I read somewhere on a forum that you should flash it on global rom. I tried it with ASOPA-L rom as it was having the same problem and it worked flawlessly. Now going to try it with latest CM rom.
One thing I noticed the camera quality is better in ASOPA-L but this rom lacks performance mode.
I'm experiencing bad speaker sound after installing this ROM. Is there any way to fix that.
Sent from my Mi 4i using Tapatalk
I'm absolutely loving this rom. I've no idea why xiaomi let's miui be so slow and laggy. This room feels great and everything runs/opens so much faster and it looks fantastic. Cmon Xiaomi, step up your game, miui is way too heavy.
Like other people have mentioned, the only downside to not having miui is the camera. I've tried a bunch of others and the quality is greatly reduced compared to the miui camera. Please someone, please port miui 6 camera!!! PLEASE!! I'll be your best friend.
Whenever i boot ..it turns off...pls hlp

[Q] Available sources for the latest CWM/ROMs for Galaxy Relay 4G?

Hey guys
I was planning to replace my Callisto with a Relay since the Whatsapp performance went horrible down during the last year. Unfortunately I'm a bit late for the Relay(however it seems to be still a good slider) and mostly all links I found here&web are broken.
I'm looking for one of the latest CWM Recovery as well as some good ROMs, because I'm stuck without a working one. (or a TWRP guide+zip)
CWM
Currently I only found CWM v6.0.1.2. (In this post)
ROMs
I only found [5.0.2] [VALIDUS v7.0][Apexqtmo] (In this post)
and the CM ROMs from here
My Problem:
Validus does not boot(stuck at howling wolf)
CM doesn't install(Status 7)
and I think I googled the hell out of it. I'm assuming it's because of the old CWM I use(couldn't find a working CWM 6.0.4.5. link)
Is there anything left one someone's disk? Thank you in advance
I have what is probably the last CM11 image built, posted to the public on my Google Drive. Links are posted to the "Development / Lineage OS" thread elsewhere in the Relay section of XDA. Somewhere on my computer at home I have the last-known CWM Recovery image from 20160815, and I can get that pushed up sometime in the next few days. I've been using that CWM ever since 20160815 with no problems. Whenever I built a new CM-11 ROM it also built recovery images, but it took me long enough to get around to trying to flash my own ROM, I haven't tried a Recovery yet, and probably won't.

Here are the install instructions from CM
http://web.archive.org/web/20161224194634/https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_apexqtmo
Here is the thread that phred14 mention with the last ROMs he build.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70769487
And I post there the last recovery image if you need it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70769487&postcount=6
I'm using both and work great (wifi, gps, camera, etc). Only two issues by now that I mention in another thread.
1) AOSP keyboard gesture typing, it throws an error. I prefer to use the stock keyboard but I suppose i can fix it using another app.
2) Whatsapp voice notes. It seems the audio i record and sent are too quiet (almost silenced), so the other person can't hear me. This doesn't happen with recorder app, phone calls or even whatsapp calls (they work and the other person can listen me), it seems only an issue with voice/vocal notes in whatsapp or similar messaging apps. I read that could be a problem of the apps using the noise cancellation microphone (wrong microphone) for recording. I dont' know if this can be fixed in anyway.
Hope it helps, good luck!
Thank you for your help!
I had to flash the T699UVAMA2 stock rom from sammobile to remove the net lock from my Relay. After that I flashed the CWM from above which I could update via rom manager(easier than I thought lol).
I flashed the latest CM nightly build with that guide and had some problems with the microphone that could be solved by cleaning the microphone hole.
Maybe this thread will help someone in the future
