Now that the Honor 6 Plus is officially released and quite popular the usage of the term "6x" is quite confusing.
Can we please change the forum titles and all future references so use the plus sign "+"so it would be "6+"?

I was wondering if we could get a new forum category for Sony Android TVs created? There's no real place on the net for these TVs. The biggest issue is finding compatible APKs for side-loading, especially ones that are restricted by region. Sub-categories could be:
General
Q&A/Help
Apps
Region Specific (Freeview, etc.)
I would be more than happy to moderate these forums in a temporary or on-going basis.
Thanks,
Paul

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
You may request a new device forum at *** New Device Forum Requests *** .
Mod Edit: Made link clickable.
Good Luck!
Thanks very much, request has been posted!
Exploring my new Mate 9, I opened the HiCare app, and it has useful information on how to use the phone. It also has tabs along the top, one of which is Forums. In that, it has links to a Huawei Forum, and to a Facebook "forum". I thought that might be an interesting way to find out more about the phone and get tips on using it.
However, the Huawei Forum merely takes me to the Huawei support page (actually to the UK mobile version of the site). I cannot find anywhere that there is a forum on the site. Completing the model details only gives me the manuals, downloads(0) and FAQs. Am I missing something ?
The Facebook link takes me to the Huawei Mobile Facebook page, but it has nothing interesting or useful there. Just adverts for phones at Carphone Warehouse and the carrier 3.
Luckily I found this forum... XDA rules.
They probably haven't activated it yet, not many Mate 9s sold in the West yet. Hopefully that will change with more buyers wanting help.
But we have good support here !
When I advise or choose a new phone I always make sure to avoid phone with few users and little development. This way, if I have a problem there is a lot of other people out there writing tutorials and posting questions. I'm not alone.
But how do I find how popular development on a phone is?
I used to simply the process by looking at official Cyanogenmod supported phones only... but that is no more. Lineage doesn't give me much indication as to how well supported a phone may become like CM did in that way.
Where might I find:
- number of downloads
- number of users
- number of posts, in a quickly accessible manner
- how's about number of commits on github or a similar code hosting site?
I also usually go for a phone 1-2 years old. So... this sounds like a Nexus. However, the person who is asking me is question me on LG, which I have no experience with.
Hi !
The forum`s website page has built-in lots of filter options and buttons from where you can choose a wide variety of stats
Use the XDA 2013 Beta - 1024 theme format and from the top of the page you can chose top devices https://forum.xda-developers.com/top then chose one and go to its dedicated subforums , development or original development
A live statistic with your desired stats isn`t available on the fly , use those above and you can easily figure out what is interesting to you
Cheers
Hi Guys,
I have created this thread as I could not find any to discuss and share news about this new interesting feature (mentioned in the title) shown by Samsung at CES 2020.
In this demo video it can be seen from 0:33 that is being used on our beloved Tab S6. I can't wait to try it on any of my devices, but I think it could be the most useful on our tablets (or phones connected to DeX) if it works out well. I think they could add a virtual trackpad to it and using any stand you already have a quite good setup for everyday usage and also doing some business/educational stuff on the go (and at home of course)
Any opinions are welcomed and also any new information (release date/beta download) is appreciated!
Title explains most of it but the long explanation is I'm trying to get an older version of youtube vanced to work again by decompiling the vanced 14.10.53 apk and trying to find a sort of info.plist equivalent for android to spoof youtube's servers into thinking this version of youtube is newer than it is so it can receive the yummy youtube juice and get around this dumb arbitrary restriction but I can't for the life of me get it to recognize as youtube 17.49.34 "the version of yt im spoofing it as" If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be wonderful. Youtube is a real necessity for me and every android 4 variant forcing me to use the browser sucks, especially since I can still get yt to work on my 2010 iphone 4 but not my dam 2013 galaxy express running a 2014 version of android? That's stupid
