Hi! My camera settings and aperture controls vanished within a day after I've set up the phone. I've been re-installing the stock rom repeatedly but I'm getting the same results even when unrooted. Please help me!!
same problem. I can't change/adjust aperture in gallery app.
Same with my Honor 6 L04 with Emui 3.1.
I asked a guy who was a Huawei P8 and he said he doesn't have this problem.

Hi ,
I have a Honor 6 plus running on EMUI 3.1 Lollipop 5.1.1 Model PE-TL 10.
I recently upgraded to the above from 4.2.2 because I had an issue on 4.2.2 as the contacts kept vanishing suddenly.
Now on 5.1.1 the default camera app - the back camera wont work on camera or wide aperture mode but works fine on video mode. In camera or wide aperture mode I get a black screen and none of the buttons work - only the settings button works and that too after a delayed time. I am not able to understand the problem. The front camera works fine on the default app.
I have installed Google camera and that works fine but as you know the default app is awesome.
I sent the phone for the service center also and they were not able to figure out the problem. I hope you can help me.
Is there a way I can maintain the 5.1.1 lollipop version but change the camera app to the 4.2.2 version or is there another solution to this problem.
Appreciate your help.
Cheers
Kunal
I recently switched to the Mate 9 from the Nexus 6P, whose HDR camera mode that I loved. I am finding that the Mate 9's HDR mode versus the auto camera mode show little to no difference in the image. I have to be doing something wrong, but I don't know what. I accidentally stumbled upon the screen double tap method to get a highlights icon and also the screen long press method of getting an exposure compensation slider, but neither of these are achieving the results I am used to. Can anyone explain how to properly use the Mate 9's HDR mode? Thanks.
There is no specific HDR settings, infact all Huawei phones till now lack HDR function.

Hey
I recently purchased a Huawei Mate 10 Pro, and everything was working fine for about 4 days, then all of a sudden every time I opened the default camera app, it would freeze and if left open, it would just crash and close....
however, when I long press on the camera app and choose either selfie or video, it works perfectly fine, but then if I try and use the front camera it will again freeze crash.
I have tried to install Play Store Camera apps and even downloaded the Google Pixel 2 APK and installed it, and they all work fine, so surely its not a camera fault?
I have tried to factory reset it 5 times, and even rebranded it from L09 to L29 and the camera app STILL wont work....
has anyone else had this issue before? It is starting to frustrate me lol...
is there anyway to download the Huawei Mate 10 Pro camera APK and reinstall it?
I would have assumed that if it was a faulty camera, then even when I install other camera apps it would not work, so it baffles me how even after reflashing/rebranding, and factory reset, it STILL wont work
any help would be much appreciated.
How you installed google pixel camera? You are unlocked and rooted device?
Does it support kirin 970 procesor?
I just downloaded it and installed it and it seemed to work OK

yes but it doesnt support HDR+ function...there is all the case...did you made it work HDR+ on your device?
The camera app always worked well, but since I updated it to Nougat, every time I take a picture with the wide aperture feature the phone freezes and the photo is not saved. I have to reboot it in order to use the phone again. I've tried deleting the cache and data of the camera app, making a factory reset, nothing worked. Huawei support says that it might be a 2nd camera hardware problem, it was working until i received the update. Anyone know how to fix this? Also, in case i wont be able to fix it, which camera app do you suggest that has a nice portrait mode?
Thanks in advance
