EDIT: DO NOT FLASH THIS!!
this mod killed my phone. Can't find a stock rom and not sure what I'm going to do.

Thanks 4 reply. an other question plz.
Were you able to mod your stock framework_res.apk?cause I was trying to compile it but I failed.even if I tried to compile without doing any modifs on the package.
I tried Ninjamorph too which worked for twframework and systemUI apps but did NOT work for framework-res. apk, even w/o changing anything!
It compiles the framework-res.apk and push it to system but result is bootloop.
So,any advice?

Did you flash the exhilerate ICS ROM and now your phone won't do anything but bootloop?
Are you finished with testing and exploring the ICS ROM and are now ready to get back to your old Gingerbread ROM and patiently wait till we get something more reliable and stable?
Well ladies and gents, here it is. A simple Odin 1-click that will flash the old gb kernel and cwm recovery so you can get back to business.
There is no /system, /data, or /cache partitions included in this package. What is included is dk boot.img (kernel), cwm recovery.img and param.lfs. There is a huge chance your device will ONLY boot into recovery after flashing this so ensure you have YourFavoriteROM.zip on your sdcard.
I have tested this multiple times this morning and it hasn't failed me yet. But, as with anything I post:
I nor is Team Fah-Q or it's affiliates responsible for anything negative that may occour to your device as a result of probably something you did. Meaning, if you don't follow the instructions fully (which the are extremely simple) then you could brick your phone or cause a zombie apocolyps.
Now time for the good stuff:
How to flash:
1 Ensure you have to appropriate drivers installed on your computer
2 Ensure you have YourFavoriteROM.zip
3 Download QuickRecover.exe to your desktop
4 Start QucikRecover.exe
5 Plug phone into PC and boot into download mode
5 Ensure the connection box turns yellow and prints a port connection (if not, check PC connection and reboot phone to recovery again)
6 Press start button and wait
7 When it is finished and the phone reboots, quickly unplug the phone and hold volume up/down buttons to get into recovery mode. If you miss it, that is ok, just simply hold power button andvolume up/down untill phone vibrates. Release power button while still holding volume buttons untill phone is in recovery mode
8 Flash YourFavoriteROM.zip.
9 Once phone is rebooted open dialer and Dial *#*#2663#*#* then tap the TSP FW Update and Touchkey FW Update button (this will bring back your soft keys)
10 Reboot
11 Hit the thanks button and provide some feedback in this thread
12 Find and hit Erik's donate button (if you can) to help our brother out. He has fallen on some hard times.
13 Eirk, I put it out there because we all love your work and miss you a lot (no homo!)

I did the Quick Recover process and then flashed another ROM like it said, but when it rebooted my old settings and apps were still in place. Also the touchkeys still work without doing the dialer thing.. Did something not work? What else should I wipe/format/mount in recovery to ensure a clean flash before I flash my Rom?

I don't own the Exhilarate, but I'm assuming recovery is the same across devices. First, download a new ROM and place it on your sd card, one of your choice. There's a Slim Bean for your device here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438192
I would suggest trying that, I've heard great things about Slim Bean. So once you have Slim Bean ROM on your device, and gapps (need both, they are both on the op of the forum), go into recovery, do a factory reset, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik (in the advanced option). Go into Mounts and Storage, then format System, Format cache (probably redundant, but to be sure), and format data. You can do each a couple times it you want. Then flash the Slim Bean zip, the gapps zip, and reboot! Like I said, not sure if recovery is different across devices, but considering ktemp made the updates for both our recoveries, I'm assuming they're the same. DO NOT format the sd card that the ROM and gapps are in, that would be BAD! Just format/wipe what I mentioned, and you'll be golden!
---------- Post added at 07:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:22 PM ----------
Make sure you've updated cwm! If not, I've been told bad things could possibly happen. Ktemp posted it in the BeanStalk ROM thread in development, a couple posts down. Flash updated cwm, then do what I said above!
Hi! Today i tried to update the i9003L of my brother's girlfriend. Ive gad RemICS 4.0.4, wiped data and then flashed RemICS JB. But when its mostly complete, the phone goes off and then automatically turned on. I get a bootloop at the animation. I cant even enter to recovery and flash gapps but still can i enter to the download mode. So i've downloaded a 2.3.6 gingerbread (i dont remember the buold but it starts with UB, from argentina my country) and flashed from odin, it says flash and the phone reboots, but i still have the bootloop problem in samsung logo animation. I dont think i ve messed the sd card because when i flashed the stock rom apears a yellow letters saying wiping data and wiping cache, and i didnt have any error (i guess). I cant enter stock recovery because when i press the vol up home and power button the screen fades to black and then reboots. Please help me, tomorrow i will flash cf root to see whats happening and if my sd card isnt f*cked up i will flash RemICS 4.0.4 again. Thats correct or i need to go back froyo? Please help! Sorry my bad english
You should have noticed that i9003L is not same as i9003, they didn't share same firmware if I'm not mistaken as I found different official firmware for both.
Hey? Sorry but its my first time hearing i9003L and googled it. I think its i9003 our phone. Hold volume first, then HOME button, then last the power. If it reboots to recovery, ur just fine.
Found some information about i9003L in Chile Samsung website.
Based on the site, it's called Samsung Galaxy S Latona
The specs are the same but I'm not sure you can directly flash i9003 rom without some modification.
You can try flashing with kpe+pit first if you can enter download mode.
Beware that in our rom, the build prop stated i9003, I'm not sure whether it will cause trouble in your phone.

I9003 use latona. Also googled it, its the same as our device.
Okay, about the fade to black when opening stock recovery,
After holding the power+home+vol up, when the phone boots, you have to release the power button but don't release the two buttons yet until the recovery is opened.

---------- Post added at 07:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:06 AM ----------
Open the recovery using steps I said just now, wipe data/cache.
Download firmware XXKPE.
Use Odin v1.8x (not odin 4.x), place latona.pit as pit file, tick the check box repartition. place phone in download mode and plug it in. Start the flash.
After it says pass, unplug and remove battery and place the battery back.
Plug it back in download mode,
Put other files of KPE (Phone, Pda, Boot) and flash. The phone reboots itself.
Also using Odin,
place the Gingerbread firmware on PDA, put the phone in download mode, connect to pc and press start. After a while the yellow/green(whatever color it is) square in odin will show "PASS" and the phone reboots itself. You can unplug the phone.
Poof! The phone is now functional.

Hi! Thanks! i fixed the phone (uff...), first i tried to go to stock GB, flashed ok and ODIN sayed "PASS", but i have a bootloop again, so flashed CF-Root and i have the screen fading to black again, but, thanks for the advice, ive pressed Power, Home and volume up, and then stop pressing Power, and then the recovery appears!! Wiped everything and i've flashed the RemICS 4.0.4, rebooted and works! i cant belive the phone is working again!. Thanks for the support.
And yes, the i9003L and i9003 are the same phone, the "L" means it has a diferent modem, but the specs are the same and their roms are also the same. Also The L or Latona is for "Latin America"/Latinoamérica. So thanks again and sorry for my bad english!

Since installing this when the tab boots up there is no logo. there are sounds but the only way to know if it is booted is to press power button after a while and if booted i get the welcome screen. When a 'hot' reboot is initiated it boots like it did before with a samsung logo and normal boot. is there something i can do to fix this.
And second far more minor, is there any way to change the sound when tapping to something else when that is enabled. thanx

Hi 1st post - and I've g'eed this all over the place -
*When I 1st rooted my phone Galaxy Tab 3 (SM-T210) with prerooted.ta.md5 the logo went missing.
*When I TWRPed Original 4.2.2 (JB) android rom sm-t210 the logo came back and was fine.
*When I installed [ROM][MG4][11-Nov][TR210R] CRASH ROM V1.5 Stable the bootanimation went missing again.
*Updated Crash ROM to 1.6 still missing. Bootup sound and like the poster above same problem!
So I can't post (yet) on that thread due to n00b status so that's why I'm posting a new thread that will hopefully help others sorting this thing out!
Cheers guys!
PS I Love these custom ROMS and Crash RocketTab2 and InfamousTab3_1.1 I've played with and think I like the Crash1.5/6 ROM best!
I am having the same problem with my tab 3 and the crash rom. The rom works fantastic, I just dont have any boot animation. Please let me know if you know a fix. I cant post on the rom thread either I am also a noob

Personally I don't believe it is the ROM itself but something else on the tab. For example when I installed TWRP recovery (a couple of times just to see) - I never get a TWRP logo while booting into recovery - I just wait a minute or two until the screen turns from a hazy on to black. Then when i touch the screen the TWRP padlock and screen comes up.
Weird.
Oh when I installed RocketTab - same thing although - when I was turning the on button on - it kinda caught a glimpse of the RocketTab logo (bootanimation) before it quickly shows the lockscreen.
That's the exactly the same thing I have done myself. I get the hazy screen then it goes black. I even tried flashing the rocket tabs first boot animation without any luck. I am on the T 210r. I am running Crash rom as my daily, It is fast and stable. Let me know if you figure anything out thanks
OK update: Still no fix.
I installed ROM Installer (free) and found a 'fix bootanimation error' - beauty i thought!
* Flashed the zip file in TWRP recovery - it took - no change to the missing boot.
*I tried a dl bootanimation and flashed that - same thing.
but,
When I do a "Restart" it does do a bootanimation!
When I do a Boot from a shutdown , it is still the same - the boot sound, no animation....
So I'm still searching...

Well thankyou VERY much! IT WORKED!
I have a snazzy rocket bootup screen now - saweeeeeet!
Thanks groovers for your help
fix the boot animation
install an boot animations changer app
and install the boot animations of samsung.
I've flashed the kernl right now after wipe cache and delvik cahe and it's always th same problem -.- i use rom tollbox pro to change the bootanimation
i installed this kernel: RocketTab2.1_MOD_T210R_MK1_Kernel.zip (latest T210R MK1 kernel, works on T210 as well, RECOMMENDED for all T210R users and users with an old bootloader, who experience a blank screen while booting)

Installed TWRP (recovery mode) - and goomanager - i use goomanager to boot to recovery which then after about 2 minutes my screen goes from that 'hazy black (still on)' to completely black screen off - then i tap the screen and TWRP recovery opens up - from there I "installed" the kernel and it did that then reboot - voila - it was fixed!
**OFF TOPIC** Now I'm onto packaging my custom apks into the "full" rockettab2 - and install that - so far not many apps work with this method after the install - so I'll keep trying for that now.
my problem is diferent, I've a bootanimation, but is always the samsung animation -.- i want to change it and i can't do that. I tried manually and with 3 programs

Best way to root your sm-t210. First download the root program/apps "Kingroot" or "Kingoroot". Wait to start up one of the downloaded program/apps. Now You gonna to Google and download TWRP 3.0.2.0 and download even an Android 4.4.2 or lower firmware (example: Supernova 2.1) and copy these twoo downloaded .zip programs from sdcard to your extern sdcard. After this is copied You can run now the apps "Kingroot" or "Kingoroot". You see in (green) root and press onto (green) button into app. Now your sm-t210 says "start up" sm-t210 and run your sm-t210 and after your tablet started up into your tablet You have to download the app "Root checker" and when its ready You press above "Check root" and when rooten it says "Your tablet succesfully rooted". ***Than press powerbutton/homebutton/volume-up button at the same time when the Samsung Galaxy comes on screen and let down powerbutton but press homebutton/volume-up button and after 5 seconds also let down homebutton and only press volume-up button and these start in recovery modus***. Than You scroll down when you'll see download TWRP 3.0.2.0.zip from extern sdcard and click on these. Then You have to reboot your tablet and again You recept *** til *** and now your tablet starts into TWRP recovery. Now You press "download from extern sdcard (for example) Supernova 2.1.zip and run these when it is ready (this rom started is ready between 10 or 20 minutes) and after finish you've have to reboot your sm-t210 again, without pressing the three buttons. Now your tablet started up as normal into about 3 til 5 minutes. Be patient when it starts into Supernova 2.1 rom. Succes...

Try Factory Reset and Clear Cache from Stock Recovery.
I've tried that too, but nothing happens ...
Again I clarify the symptoms:
Point 1 - When the phone starts, shows the motorola logo and the message "Error CustomerID Contact Dealer Boot to Suspend / MDCT mode: 0000:00000000:000000 cc.". Then the screen gets black and nothing happens
Point 2-If I turn on the phone by holding down the volume keys (+ / -) and the power button (boot mode selection menu) and select any of the options ... the screen goes black and nothing happens
Point 3 - If I turn on the phone by holding down the volume key (-) and the power button (ap fastboot flash mode) ... I can connect the phone, start and finish the flashing process correctly. When the process ends it happens again point 1 or point 2
It may be a hardware failure?

I installed bmm, but there is a problem ... boot menu manager requires root ...
when I try to root the phone, the process automatically restarts the phone and gets stuck on the motorola logo (since it no longer resets normally) ... then the root process can never be completed :crying:
I will continue doing more tests
when the phone starts normally, something similar to the root process of jelly bean leak happens ...
the method for jelly bean leak was something like this (the swapp method):
1 - the phone began in ap fastboot mode
2 - using a command line, the ics boot.img sends to the phone
3 - then the phone is unplugged from the usb cable and restarted
4 - the phone boots and gets a black screen
5 - plug the phone to the usb cable again and run the root tool for ics
5 - the phone restart 3 times (the root process is done)
6 - restart the phone in ap fast boot again
7 - using a command line, the jelly bean boot.img sends to the phone
8 - restart the phone and all is done
so....what is happening with my atrix 2 is something like step 4, is like boot.img is missing or corrupted
SOLVED : I boot using bp tools, then i found a root method that works , finally i get my phone rooted...so i've installed bmm and booted fine again....thx to those who takes the time to answer in this post

If BMM is not appearing at startup, then FXZ is only option !!
FXZ (with your region)---->>root--->> install BMM---->> flash ROM.
Watch BMM video tutorial available in general section, for proper BMM usage
