A newbie with an XDA II looking for forums

Hey there. I've just bought myself an XDA II and I'm looking for forums and communities relating to the XDA II but more from a user's side than a developers side. Does anyone know of any good forums/communities relating to such things?

Thanks for that. Perhaps you can help me with another question. As a former owner of an N-Gage, I knew quickly and easily that it was an S60 phone. But what is the XDA II? I saw from a site that there are several broad categories: S60, S80, S90, UIQ and 'others'.
So my question is... Is the XDA II one of these? Or is it simply a Windows Mobile 2003 handheld or something similar?

imho then thisite is not only developer related
imho then it's close to 50% user and 50 developer
unless you go into the forums like hacking it
and upgrading and such

I'd call it a Windows Mobile PDA Phone.
Not sure if that's entirely accurate.

Yeah, that's what I'm beginning to think. It's not 'symbian' but 'Windows Mobile' based.

By the way, xda-developers is not strictly a developers site. There's a lot of non-technical but beneficial discussion here.

Well, you can open a thread under Android, as others do under General, Upgrading... etc, etc... but perhaps no one will support/help you.
I think that this answer is "softer", don't you think?

there are other places like modaco for omnia which rocks so probably there would be some place for android also. And i am sure there will be place for galaxy on modaco.com, so dont worry.

don't forget ... more android devices will come and android develepers will change the phones. And then? They must leave this forum and share the new developments in other forums?

Welcome to the forum
As long as they are manufactured by HTC, such devices will have a place here, even with Android
If not there are plenty of android sites around the web

why there is a Sony Ericsson X1 phone on the site?
You said only HTC made phone can be in this site then how come there is Sony Ericsson X1 in the site and we cant have Samsung i7500 in the site???

Hi guys,
Please don't shoot me down, I'm a long time HTC Supporter and will continue to use HTC, but I've also just got a Sony Ericsson Satio, What I was wondering is, is there a forum or website similar to XDA-Devs that deal with Symbian OS?
I've searched the forum but I may be being blind and couldn't find anything, so if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Rather gutted as I want an HD2, but my provider won't be doing them, so upgraded to the satio to sell to put towards a sim-free option HD2, but thought I'd give the satio a go before I get rid.

You may want to try modaco.com or maybe other xda members might know a site that will be able to help you
