Hey there!
Not everyone knows FunTouch OS. So, this is a custom Android ROM for BBK Vivo smartphones. It's known for the extreme customizations and improvements made.
Are there any possibilites to make a custom rom from FunTouch 2.0 or latest for our OPO?
Thank you and wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Up(?)
I think that it's an interesting porting, i'm waiting too because i'm not able to do that. I think that this porting could be useful to all that love camera quality, because the Vivo Xshot has the same sensor of the OnePlus, but it take awesome photo (thanks to Arcsoft Inc. camera patches)
yes and FunTouch os is beautiful, fast and secure...
This is my first time installing a custom ROM on my original Moto G and with so many to choose from I was wondering what your opinion is. The Overview of the ROM doesn't say much about speed/battery/CPU Usage etc. I'm looking for a ROM that's light on CPU and Battery as well as fast and customizable. I know CM is the most popular but I've heard it's not to good with battery life. Oh, and one more thing, Going with customizeability/features idea I would prefer Android 6. Any input would be greatly apreciated
P.S. Wouldn't mind kernel recommendations either, but I have a less than basic understanding of a kernel .
I would recommand ResurrectionRemix its based on 6.0.1 and has the april 2 security update and has OTA support its based on CM13 also but has so many tweaks and customization without loosing fluidity and smoothness im runnning it after testing multiple rom andits the one I<ll stay with until android 7... im getting 6h screen on time on a 12h uptime day (yesterday) it also offers the cm13 theme installer so pretty sick
Hello Mattwmaster58,
I am in the same situation - looking for a fast, stable(!) & bug-free rom with very good battery-performance.
I have testet many xda-roms for my old samsung-phone (S3 mini), and was surprised how much one differs from the others.
There is quite big list of number of Custom ROMs available for Moto G which might confuse users like us. Every single rom has some advantages and disadvantages.
For me it is important that the rom-thread provides a list of bugs and features, and also shows what changes were made (for instance: Omni-Rom).
I haven't shifted from Orion OS from 4 months give it a try buttery smooth and stable totally bug free if u don't use soft reboot that's IMO nothing big
Btw do tell if u find a better in terms of battery or performance or either
I have tested 15 ROMs for Moto G (Falcon) and below is my recommendation of ROMs :
- Omnirom : Stable and fluid.
- SlimSaber : Optimized version of Omnirom - fast smooth and stable, especially previous version. Good battery SoT.
- Exodus : rock solid stable.
- IDCrisis : stock based, stable
Hello guys,
So many of us mi4i users have received the miui 8 stable ota update and some of us have downloaded the rom using the links in miui forum and xda forum.
I downloaded it using the bigota link. And flashed it using Twrp on 20th. I was on Global beta.
So after 2days of usual this is what i feel about the rom.
Let me divide it into simple points of pros nd cons.
Lets start with the cons.
1) Its still on 5.0.2 which is the biggest disappointment for many. Well i pretty much expected it to be as Global beta was also on 5.0.2
2) Camera focus issue is far from fixed.
3) Memory optimisation is better than the last miui stable but yet leaves a lot to be desired.
4) Some new features dont work sometimes. Like the scrolling screenshot doesnt work on all apps.
5) Still no voLTE support though the chipset supports it.
6) To me beta rom feels a lot better compared to the stable one. In every aspect.
Those were the major cons with the device.
Now coming to pros here. Nothing much special to expect.
1) New miui features are good as long as they work. I m not gonna write all the features in different points. Coz everyone alredy knws the new features.
2) From Miui 6 to now miui 8 xiaomi has really optimized the snapdragon 615 to the minimal heating experience.
3) The memory optimisation as i said in cons is improved but still a lot left to be done.
This is all i could find. Please feel free to write down below what you think about the New miui8. What you liked and disliked about this update.

Thanks for ur review..
I was a huge fan of Cyanogen Mod when it was in development due to its sleek UI
& because all those apps like facebook were ditched letting the owner decide what they did\did not want installed on there device.
What ROM for the XZ Premium G8141 is comparable to CM which is stable & deboated that you'd reccommend?

Aosp with snap patch or turbo rom.
Nubia posted their kernel source for the Red Magic 3 here a few hours ago:
https://github.com/ztemt?tab=repositories
Excellent! :good:
Kernel developers - come at me!! :fingers-crossed:
Yeah Franco kernel could be a godsend for this display color reproduction issues at low brightness.
Wow that's great news. Nubia is changing gears. Waiting for custom Rom
Nice, hoping for lineage os
And now, time to wait for a custom ROM! Great news
