[Completed] I repeatedly get a message on my Samsung S3: - XDA Assist

"AT&T will sync your contacts when your mobile phone is on a mobile network"
It is connected to my wifi home home system. So my question is what is a mobile network that it has to connect to?

Sounds to me like it needs "data" connection, not wifi.
Try that and see if it works

HTC Touch Pro Data Connection Problem

Hey folks,
I've had a Touch Pro since March (AT&T FUZE), and I put the RRE 4.5 ROM on it the first day.
I've been having data connection problems. I don't know if it was having the problem before the install because I did it within a few hours of having the device. For example, when I turn on my connection and try to connect it says "Cannot Connect | Dialed: Cannot connect for an unknown reason." The funny thing is that I can surf the interwebs just fine using Opera, so it is connected.
Also, I can't check my email over the data connection because it says "Cannot Connect | Cannot connect with current connection settings." I can check my email just fine over WiFi.
Thanks so much for yall's help.

Cannot Connect For Unknown Reason
Be sure to check dialing rules are set to MOBILE and be sure the edit page reflects any area code that you will never be in... like Hawaii or something.
In this way it is always a mobile connection.

Wi-fi connection in the connections tab

Hi, I am using a Spectec wifi card to receive mails and navigate when i'm at home, and a data gprs connection outside. Since the wi-fi connection does't appear on the connections tab, is there a simple way to switch between them?
What i am doing now, is change the "work network" (which is configured for gprs) to "my isp", which is not configured at all, get a few connection error messages, and then the phone discoveres the wifi and connects to internet. But it's rather complicated and not ellegant at all.

[Q] Wifi connects ti wrong network

Hi my omnia 7 always tries to connect to an open network instead of my home network,I have tried many times to delete the network but it always appears again, how can I delete or get the phone to ignore this network
Many thanks
Is the SSID of your home network hidden? If it is, WP7 will not connect to it.
Hi. No it's not hidden and will connect ok but it always defaults to the open one first ,I then have to disconnect and then connect to my home one which is annoying

Can I bypass my mifi hotspot's "login to wifi network" popup?

I just purchased a MiFi 500 LTE from Freedompop and have been playing around with it. It seems to work good of what I need, but I have one annoying thing I would like to see if I can bypass.
Each time I connect to the mifi, my phone (nexus 5 running stock 5.1.1) first shows a wifi icon with an exclamation point and then pops up a notification asking me to manually connect to the wifi network. Sometimes, the phone will go on and connect anyway after a few second delay. Sometimes, however, the phone will not connect, and I have to tap on the icon. When I tap on the icon, a blank page will appear. Sometimes, the blank page will immediately disappear and the phone will connect to the network automatically. However, sometimes it will not, and I have to tap on three dots in the top right corner where my options are to not connect to the network or to connect to the network as is. When I chose to connect to the network as is, it connects.
Does anyone know the cause for this? Is there some setting that I have wrong on the hotspot? Or, is this just they way these mifi hotspots are supposed to work? I was hoping it would be as seamless as connecting to my wifi router at home, where it just connects automatically as soon as it is detected.
Thanks

How can I use cellular data while connected to a wifi without Internet access?

I have Pi 4's that create a network in my car and boat for music control (J. River Media Center). But since those Pi's aren't connected to any 4G modems Messenger, mail, web reader and other Internet connected stuff does not work while connected to dem. I have read that going to developer's options and activate "Cellular Data Always Active" should work, but it doesn't. I still get no data in to them while I'm on the wifi without Internet.
I have also read that I can set the gateway on these two networks as empty, and then phone will automatically get Internet data from the cellular network. Only one problem: That's not possible because the "Save" button is grey when there's no default gateway added. Is there anything else I can use for this?
