Droid Turbo [Bootlogo]+[Bootanimation] [Flashable-Zip][Sound] - Moto X Themes and Apps

Grabbed from the system dump on Motorola's website and placed inside a flashable .zip file.
I haven't been able to figure out how to edit the video to remove the "Verizon" Logo, or to make the second part loop around until phone boots up, so for now you just get a black screen after both parts play. If anyone knows of a way to edit the video files and get them to still work for the bootanimation, please feel free to let me know!
Preview: Youtube
Download: Mega
Edit: Added Bootlogo, it looks just like the first frame of the bootanimation, so not going to bother with a preview.

Use Motorola bootlogo Maker to edit and change the bootlogo. The bootanimation i'm sadly not quite sure about. You can extract it and play around with the files, i might give it a shot later on to see if I can figure it out.

Well, you can get the 02-loop.mp4 running by removing the audio track of 01-intro.mp4. The problem is caused by a known HLS issue on 4.4.3+ android system.
You can refer this bug report: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=72875
link of the 01-intro.mp4 file without audio track :https://mega.co.nz/#!F9YmEbrA!e3hdJGOiMEghurc1OZP5avA2PtcYmSuogAfvsPJtLuA

[SPLASH1] General Thread

After speaking to joerkc, I agreed to change the title of this thread.

Thanks!
More to come...
please make sure there are previews =)
Here's one I did for ardynalynes FrankenRom
I take no credit for pic, only for converting it and zipping it.
Madface not as clear as I would like it to be.
here's one I made, was just screwing around and generally testing to make it worked.. just rename to PB311IMG.zip
Here's some of the ones I made...
The first one's (incredible_black_splash) based off of the original splash screen, except the colors are inverted and the "TM" was removed (I get it HTC, you have a copyright on the name... BUT IT KILLS THE AESTHETICS!)
Next, we have just the HTC logo by itself, white on black (incredible_htc_splash_black)
...and then black on white (incredible_htc_splash_white)
I like to keep things simple. Enjoy!
EDIT: also, wouldn't it be great if this was stickied and a similar thread was made for boot animations that was also stickied? Then you'd have a one-stop shop for all your boot tweaking needs!
finally got it working....
after a few failed attempts, finally got splash working! first of probably many more to come...
My Splash Screen
Looks a lot better than pic
If u want it go to the click the link In The first post about creating a custom splash and its on the third page .

Droid X eye. Just looks cool.

My contribution:
This came out really good on the Inc!
Droid Eye/Logo, C3Po/R2D2 as Androids, HTC Incredible Logo
Unrevoked Image with Droid Eye & Logo, C3PO & R2D2 as Androids, and the HTC Incredible Image. I do not own any of these images. Pulled them all from Google and compiled.
Hot babe splash screen... enjoy!
Well, I figured it was about time I contribute something to the community.
Please give me feedback.
Thanks.
The PB31img.zip files are in the attached .zip file along with the bitmap, that way if you download a few of them you can keep track.

Really want to turn this into a boot animation and/or live wallpaper. Goes well with the stock boot animation.

[Q] How do you create a custom boot animation for the Droid X?

So I've got an idea or two for a custom boot animation for my Droid X but I can't seem to find an *updated* How-to guide on how to do it.
I've read that the image files need to be PNGs but what type of PNG, do they need to have transparency? How many files can does the animation need to be? Can it be installed via the Clockwork loader or is it only via terminal commands, etc.?
Any info would be greatly appreciated
All are png. Using photoshop just save as a png image. U will need to edit alot of photos as some boots have over 100. They are in two folders one with the start up and the other a repeated loop. You will need a comand file that gives the size and the fps. Dl a boot and take apart a zip. You will see how it all comes together.

Can the images be created from another format? I plan on creating a simple 3D spinning logo and saving the animation out as sequential images but can't remember if 3dsmax outputs PNGs or not.
I also came across this guide...anyone know if this works for the DX?

I have always used png as that's what the stock boots are made with. You can try jpeg it wont hurt the phone. It would just not show up when you boot. Its all about trial and error with this stuff. Play around.

Jpg works just fine. I have made multiple animations, including mixing ones that are already made. I just finished up a boondock saints one, just waiting to upload to youtube.
Gentlemen, I would like to present to you......
Boondock Saints: The Boot Animation.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdDzfmHrLw8
The Boot Logo is from:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-2-hacks/88531-changing-moto-logo.html
on the 3rd or 4th page.
The Download link is a install.zip through bootstrap is here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AVFQU34L
The animation is all .JPG and is supposed to cut out after the chains drop.
Nice boot animation Casen, Im a huge Boondock Saints fan, thumbs up for the animation Any help with how you added video to your bootanimation?
Now, speaking of the OP, I just created my own boot animation today and it took some help but I am learning. My boot animation is on YT. Look for Irishsmyles as the user. Sorry not able to post outside links due to restrictions
I used photoshop and used the animation option under window. Created seperate images and then put them in a gif, named theme in sequential order using 5 digits 00000, 00001, etc. The trickiest part and part that I needed help was the desc.txt part but I am starting to understand that now. I may post a video on my YT channel so look for that tomorrow. But my Droid X rocks that much more now that I have a custom boot logo, animation, and wallpaper added

[BOOT ANIMATION] need help with custom boot animation

Ive tried a bunch of tutorials and multiple modifications and file types but im still not able to get my boot animation to work
Im trying to turn this Tsar Bomba (biggest Atom Bomb ever)video into a boot animation
Tsar Bomba
Nothing seems to work. Ive tried playing with the dpi and bit depth settings, reducing the number of png files, using different naming for the PNG files (some tutorials say different things) etc but still nothing
I have attached my bootanimation.zip file to this post
If you can let me know why it isn't working or correct what is wrong I would greatly appreciate it.
I know the resolution is not very good on the PNG files but im just trying to get it to work first and then ill worry about how good it looks
Here are the PNG files im working with
Problem appears to be with your desc.txt. It's not formatted properly. Be sure to use a good text editor (notepad doesn't cut it, try notepad+ if you are on a windows box).
Here is more info that should help you out with the desc.txt
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/9163-desc-txt-boot-animations-works-like.html
Edit: all though there may be something else going on too. Perhaps problem with the format of the images. i just modified desc.txt to appear how it should and put it on my phone and just get a black screen.

In terms of format I downloaded the clip from youtube and changed it into an AVI then I used virtualdub to get the png images from the clip
what type of format for the png is needed?
spotted your problem first they need to be labled as boot_00001 also there needs to be two folders part0 and part1.
I've edited your bootanimation.zip now it is working.
Cool animation but can you make it loop? For me it only plays once.

here u go just needed to change a value in the txt file
Is there any limitations on the number of frames the animation can have?
Im curious in order to make it look better
Not to sure but the highest I've created a bootanimation is 162 images plus 27 for the end loop I think its just a matter of playing with it.

Naruto bootanimation and how to video

So I love Naruto and my Phone. So I combined the two and got this. To me the best Naruto scene ever was when he came back from training in the (where was it the frog land ?) I don't know what it's called but he comes back then one of the pains rushes at tsunade and in less then a second Naruto smashes it.
I also threw together a video on how I did it. I've still got to learn some more about the desc.txt but it works so I'm good for now. Screen shots in the video which is here around the end of the video. Download the bootanimation.zip here.
P.S don't forget to rename narutobootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip I've got to name it that so as not to get confused.
Great job man .. i tried to do the same but boooooooo didnt work and i dont have enough time to do all that soooo i edited a pic for a boot animation that i have and i added a text but didnt work lol there have to be something wrong i did ...
thanx
I watched your video and I'm also trying to figure out that desc txt file. I asked over in papa smurf's thread everything android and one guy who knows alot more than me gave me an explation. I would c&p but I'm mobile. Just wanted to tell you in case your online and wanna take a look. However I'll be on my laptop shortly and I will paste it here incase you still wanted some info on it.

These images form the 'part0' and 'part1' animations that are combined as outlined in the 'desc.txt' file to form the overall startup animation. The images are ordered by number and run in sequence.
The 'desc.txt' file outlines how the animation progresses and a sample is as follows:
512 256 30
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1
'523' is the width of the animation
'256' is the height of the animation
'30' is the desired fps of the animation
'p' defines a animation part
'1' how many times this animation part loops
'0' defines a pause (max 10)
'part0' is the folder name where the animation images are
'p' defines another animation part
'0' defines that it loops forever (until android starts)
'0' defines a pause
'part1' is the folder for the second animation part.
i followed ALL the instructions and formatted pictures for like an hour and it wont work. Im not sure what im doing wrong but its nothing short of frustrating. Can someone explain how to make a bootable zip for this?
here is a zip with a diff splash screen that i edited (which still doesnt show up) and the boot files that i also edited. I dont understand why it wont work, someone please help me

[Q] [HELP] Bootanimation Elongated

While making a bootanimation, i found this issue - The phone is elongating it diagonally on its own.
The first image shows how it is intended to be, the other one shows a diagonally stretched one that the phone shows.
Please give it a thought, the images inside the bootanimation are JPEG. No matter what i do, its the same. I will be trying the same in PNG soon.
EDIT: Tried with PNG, same resuts.
I've added the zip fie
will post a new one...
I will post another zip, and check if it works.
should it loop or what?
edit:
try this one: View attachment eagames_resize.zip
