I had this problem few months ago , found solution , root it and install Gapps , but you must install vpn if you are in china in order to access to google.

I am from China, and if I go abroad, the Google map with star marks is must, sadly I bought the Chinese version N9150ZCU1ANJ9, seems no chance to root it and install the Google account, need help!

finally intall gapps and seems google app work properly, but I received the warning info "process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" after booting, anyone have the same problem?
The china version missing the Google framework, use CWM to install the attachment then you can install any Google apps without porblem

i bought this quad core lenovo a766 phone (mt6598m) and followed the instruction listed here in the chinese forum (http://bbs.mtksj.com/thread-34350-1-1.html) and rooted with success. the download file url is here (http://bbs.mtksj.com/thread-34350-1-1.html). hope those who bought ROW (or china version like mine) find this useful.
now i am waiting for ROW version to change the rom to fully english (google-able) version. if you have information on the ROW version for this phone, please kindly let me know.

the phone is ok, faster than my lenovo s560. just the chinese version app that is bugging me. if you're buying ROW version, then you have to assess and let me know for the price, i think is value for money. I dont use it for games, just call, messaging and some other non-gaming app
In malaysia, the price for international vers around 500MYR or $156.

Have you tried looking up Cydia Impactor? That uses a master key vulnerability and can root most phones as long as they haven't been specifically patched to cover this.

Did you get yours rooted? I have also bought the s960. I love the hardware but cant get it rooted...
I have tried the Cydiaimpactor... got an strange error when I run it "install_failed_verification_failure"

Found a way to root the lenovo s960. Use :http://www.mgyun.com/en/GetVRoot. Rooted mine but have not got google play to work yet

I updated my phone before I got it to work, you should be able to update the phone. But cant get the google apps to work...

sorry for the late reply... A766 not longer in service due to my son broke it. I then move on to HTC 606W then Zen5 then G3 haha... sorry that i couldnt help any longer

In order to flash 5.1 you need an unchanged Stock Rome. Best B137SP03. Can be found here.

i've installed MT7-TL10V100R001C900B308_EUROPE.zip but i got a strange whatsapp issue.
Whatsapp contacs are missing! i only see numbers, not names, if I uninstall and re-install whatsapp will fix, but only for a few hours.

I have this problem, only temporary fix now is to refresh contacts. Hopefully, this bug is known to Huawei developers, so that it is ironed out with the stable 5.1 release.

If your model is a region specific one, you can not do that. Note how the model numbers on the two phones (Chinese and international) are different. The software and maybe hardware will differ, so you could get all sorts of errors.

Just download the roalback and install the small update.app
And wattsup contacts will be fixed and shown and the soft will be smooth

hey guys i just root my galaxy a7 sm-a700h with built number LRX22G.A700HXXU1BOK1. it had the exact built number and android version(5.0.2) that has written in cf auto root website and when i root it it passed but after reboot it stuck on boot
i tried wipe factory reset and cache but no changes happened.
i also try installing openrecovery-twrp-2.8.6.0-a73g.tar.md5 and it also passed but the recovery didn't loaded so i had to install the cf root package again to get the recovery back... recovery works now but i have still bootloop problem.
I'm trying to download http://upple.it/0f9926dfda6cd798/CAC...0801095322.zip (by 60 KB/s internet speed of Iran) to test if it is compatible with my phone or not.
what i ask you is
do you know any faster way that help me not to flash a new rom?

As long as it's the same model then you can flash whatever country you want
i had a htc u11 plus(china version 2q4d200 version)
now i had root it with magisk.
i can't install google+ on this phone(also can't install it without root),show message that:Your device is not compatible with this version
and，i had tryed many versons of this app,

I thought there's google framework from Magisk download section can help for unsupported device to download google apps. But not sure if it works on China version devices.
By the way, how do you make your device S-OFF?

i didn't make it s-off, but unlock the bootloader via https://www.htcdev.com.

Might be a limitation on the Chinese version bro, Always settle down for Global versions if you're not a resident in China.
Chinese versions have a lot of restrictions, including access to ADB.

I have a Mate 30 Pro 5G chinese with GMS since december, 2019.
All notifications work, everything is working right !!!
I need last versiyon LIO-AL00 . I will downgrade last version and installing GMS.

I resetted my phone 5 times already . And reinstalled GSM. Everything works perfect. There is a method to make notifications work.

i have done this 300 times and reset my phone 20+ times to re do the method , all fail after i install lats app ( 009-GMS Core Mod C.apk )
if you have the method working with the latest update 10.1.0.137 please share with us ! .
its whether i do it correctly or just sell it :/
and just to clarify , i have bought the phone from person who claim he bought it locally ! , i never had Huawei Phones Before so i have no idea how to tell if it china or global
