Hello guys,
I'm novice in this forum and I need help.
I have a problem with flashtool, and I can't flash my mobile phone.
I found and installed the flash tool from Xperia blog, but it doesn't works.
When I try to flash my phone, there appear next Errors messages:
ERROR- Processing of loader.sin finished with errors.
ERROR-
ERROR- Error flashing. Aborted
ERROR- Drivers need to be installed for connected device
I'd like to flash my phone, because it is with TIM brand, and because of that I still using 4.4.2 android version.
The second reason is because there are, sometimes, some bugs... I think the best way to solve all that problems is to flash my phone.
I downloaded .tft too, it seems to be a Russian version, but I think it isn't so important.
Before starting flash process I connected my device to PC and it was recognized by PC COmpanion...
I don't know is this an important information, but I have windows 8.1 on my PC...
Now, what I have to do to make it working properly?
Thanks

[Q] Softbricked Tipo, tried flashtool. PC Companion & Update Service NOTHING WORKS!
HI there,
Woke up today to see my Tipo powered off, tried to turn it on and got one vibrate and one green flash. I didn't panic, as I have Flashtool and PC Companion, and have fixed this sort of thing before. But for some reason, flashtool won't flash the stock ftf - it wither gets stuck on "reading device" or an error flashing loader.sin.
I've installed the flashtool drivers. I've uninstalled and re-installed flashtool, and re-installed the drivers, still no joy.
So I tried PC companion to repair the phone, but it says there is no software available! Tried uninstalling and re-installing this too, and re-booted the PC, same result!
Update Service is doing exactly the same - no software available. Also uninstalled/re-installed and re-booted PC, to no effect.
I've looked all over the XDA forums and elsewhere, but can only find advice to do what I've already done. Does anyone know what's going on here?
The phone had Cyanogen Mod on it when the soft brick occurred, if that's any help.
PLEASE HELP. I'm banging my head against a brick wall!
Update: Tried flashing with flashtool again, getting the following errors:
INFO - Unable to read from phone after having opened it.
ERROR - Processing of loader.sin finished with errors.
ERROR - Error in processHeader : 2 : The system cannot find the file specified.
ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
I'd like to make my Xperia L a "hand-me-down" phone for my family. However, I have a custom kernel and ROM on there (CM12 I guess, though it doesn't really matter) which although fine for me, the occasional bugs and glitches aren't really helping with the already present lack of tech-savviness of the to-be owners. First question is, as I haven't found a factory kernel, what should I do about that? Should I just leave it be? I have ThunderZap on if I recall correctly. Now to the main point - when I attempt to revert to stock via Sony PC Companion through Repair/Recovery options, it says the device is not recognized or uses modified software and thus doesn't let me continue. When I use Flashtool with stock firmware, as soon as I start flashing, the device disconnects. I can stay connected in flashmode just fine as long as the device is idle but when I attemt to flash, it disconnects and reconnects, aborting the flashing. I'm on Windows 10. I have found that Windows 8 and up may have problems with drivers, so installed the flashmode and taoshan drivers from Flashtool via the Advanced Boot options, so those are present. Still disconnects. Any ideas how I should go about reverting to stock then?
It should work, I am using Windows 10 myself, haven't got any problems with Flashtool as you mentioned...
This may help:-
click the lightning icon before connecting the device.
When you get prompted to connect the phone, connect it..
it should work cuz even I do this only when I get any error or the device boots up while in flashmode..

In my opinion just try flash the stock ftf in another PC which is running Windows 7 I think this's the best choice
OP, you need to use an older version of Flashtool - 0.9.18.4.
I rooted mobile a while ago so suddenly one day it went in bootloop. So i tried to factory reset it after that still it didn't work out. After that i decided to just go for other rom so i unlocked my bootloader and tried to install cm 12.1. But wifi doesn't work on it also also it doesn't detect sim card.
Can anyone tell me how to set it to old device. I don't want any fashionable thing no root no recovery nothing i just want a phone back with wifi working and not rebooting like hell. I tried to download the original .ftf file but that also not flashing showing session ending error and please don't tell me to reinstall drivers i tried it already. my xperia L model is c2014. I also tried emma and those how don't know emma doesn't support some models and sadly one of which is my device. It is indeed a driver issue. If WiFi isn't working, you can flash stock ftf and then install whichever rom you were installing. Firstly, to get back to stock and relock your bootloader you need your TA. If you didn't backup your TA before unlocking your bootloader, You'll have to live with some functions of the stock rom lost. Restoring the TA locks your bootloader.
Okay so, if you have the stock ftf, head over to your flashtool folder, navigate to drivers and open Flashtool-drivers.exe.
For Xperia L, the drivers you need - "Flashmode Drivers", "Fastboot drivers", "Common drivers for Taoshan".
If install fails, you may need to disable driver signature check. Just google that, it's pretty simple.
If you don't see such a file, just get it from here - [Drivers] FlashTool Xperia Driver Pack (v1.5) [20140318]
Then connect your phone in FLASHmode. Not Fastboot. Fastboot has a blue LED and Flashmode has no LED (You'll see red and green flash before the no LED). Your device should be listed under Universal Serial Bus Controllers as SEMC Flash Device or Generic Flash device. If it says S1 Service or something similar, right click and update Driver Software, "Browse my computer for driver software", and let me pick from a list. Uncheck Show compatible Hardware, scroll to Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, and select SEMC Flash device. Reconnect your device to check if it detects it as SEMC or Generic Flash Device. If yes, try to install your ftf.
If you were already on this driver, try switching to the S1 Service. (Not sure where to find that but it never worked for me. Your mileage may vary. Give it a search).
Also, if you take it to a service center, they'll probably charge you some money and probably replace the whole board. Thus, Hakuna Matata. Keep calm, your phone is absolutely fine. Never tried Emma though. Flashtool ftw!

Hello,
I have Xperia Z3 D6603 with android 6.0.1 and wanted to root it, I've looked up the topic and found good guide on XDA.
I've just started to follow instructions in this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056.
So I used Flashtool and used FW linked in the guide. After succesful flash my phone got in some loop of errors and it's restarting continuously - the video below shows the process.
https://youtu.be/_Pi58MvK4_o
I tried to flash it with other FW (second linked in the guide), it looked like success but phone behaves the same - same errors.
Any suggestions what should I do to fix it? Or which tool use to try? Is there sth I'm doing wrong with the Flashtool, some special option I should use?
Thanks for every help!
Before anything else goes wrong you should try Sony PC Companion.
Get the phone back to a stable state before you root. You might end up sending it under warranty if you still have it.
Use flashtool to flash the ftf for your country / wherever the phone is from. Then even if you still get the same behavior you can use PC Companion which will auto detect and download the correct firmware for the device and flash it. The only reason to flash the ftf for your country is so that PC Companion downloads this also. That way if you do take it for repairs you won't get asked why it's changed (they can check)
That guide works though so you probably did nothing wrong. Either a software error occurred along the way (try reinstalling all the flashtool drivers with signature verification turned off in windows) or you uncovered a hardware fault that Sony needs to fix.
Welcome to Xperia Rooting
Are you sure you selected the options to wipe data and cache in flash tool?
If you don't do this, you can often end in bootloop.
Thank you guys, I'm fresh in this topic so I got pretty confused when sth went wrong.
I've already used Xperia companion, it worked properly, now I'll make second attempt with downgrading and rooting.
Many thanks once again!
So I ran into some issues when I initially tried to get the fingerprint sensor to work by flashing to the CE1 firmware. After much patience and meticulous research, I was able to flash the device and get the fingerprint sensor to work. However, after a few hours I noticed that the firmware was a bit buggy and apps would randomly stop working (i.e. Google Play Services, Email, etc.). The final straw was when I got an incoming call and the phone's screen kept going dark, making it difficult to answer. Once I answered the phone, it decided to restart itself, which it had been doing randomly about twice a day. After I did a software repair, the phone failed to complete the setup and restarted itself at the fingerprint setup stage. After trying to repair the phone again (Software Repair), the phone is now BRICKED! I'm trying to get the device back to working order, but Software Repair keeps failing and Flashtool keeps giving me the system.sin error. Someone, please help! I haven't had the device for two weeks and I'm already frustrated.
version numbers (ROMs, tools, operating system used) would help a lot in diagnosis...
Did you do a factory reset before/after flashing (what???) ?
Hi,
I were having the same issue(.sin file errors in flashtool and XC finishes with error), Use back panel of ur PC and reinstall the driver for xz and flashmode.
Xz drivers = https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4IlcVrKbV2qeloxN01ESkZZTkU/view?usp=drivesdk
And flashmode r in the FlashTool folder.

I tried flashing both the Central Europe (41.2.A.7.8) and UK (41.2.A.7.35) ROMs. Also tried using PC Companion to repair the phone after the failed flash, but it keeps failing to complete. The phone currently boots to a screen that says the software update failed and to plug in the phone to the computer.

I have never dealt with a botched flash ...
- Make sure you have the latest Flashtool (flashtool.net !) and at least 3 GBytes of disk space.
- Find the ../devices/F83XX/ folder and there copy 39.fsc to 41.fsc
- let Flashtool flash the UK FTF (you verified the md5sum?) with all wipe boxes checked
If this fails post the log, esp. warnings and errors of Flashtool. Be patient - flashing /system will take 10+ minutes.
========= Edit ================
Please keep it in this thread!
Your FTF download seems to be botched looking at the log you did not post here ...

And Ftf is here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4IlcVrKbV2qSnBCRWxHLWY5RjQ/view?usp=drivesdk
Buggy, but operational
In a last attempt to get the device working before conceding defeat and picking up a go phone for the interim, I managed to get the phone to complete the Software Repair process via Xperia Companion. The internet speed where I'm staying is a bit slow, so I think that may have been part of my problem. While some apps are still crashing periodically and the phone itself is exhibiting erratic behavior, it is stable enough for me to use until I return to civilization (i.e. reliable internet connection). Does anyone have any recommendations on the next steps? Should I try reflashing the ROM with flashtool, or simply doing another Software Repair with the Xperia Companion?
Check your system storage if it's free or not (atleast 4gigs)
I think the issue may be the sim card. After I removed it the last time (it literally fell out when I removed the tray), I re-flashed using the basic instructions and it successfully flashed the phone. Additionally, leaving the SIM out, I've begun setting up the phone without issue. Once the basic apps are updated, I'm going to try to secure my SIM to the tray and see if the phone will work normally. Otherwise, I might need to see the Magenta Men and get a new card.
So the only issue now is random reboots and apps freezing. I think it may be due to a loose SIM in the tray, so I'll head to my carrier to see if I can resolve the the issue. If anyone has any other ideas of the cause, let me know.
System.sin Error is Back
Ok, back with the same issue(s) again. I tried to reflash after the random reboots began to increase in frequency. Here is what flashtool is telling me (log attached).

Wipe boxes checked (I think there are 5 of them). And I just use CE1 because someone recommended it. Should I be using the UK version?

When you say copy, you mean rename? Windows won't let me copy and paste 39.fsc to 41.fsc.
Also, yes I'm using the phone in the SF Bay Area and I am flashing CE1 or UK versions to get the fingerprint sensor operational.

Unlocked bootloader? Did you flashed partition image SIN file? May I suggest you this? Try flash only partition image, reboot and reflash the rest, maybe emmc layout is somehow messed up who knows, maybe hardware fault, usb cable...

Bootloader isn't unlocked. I'm trying to avoid doing that in case I need to send it into Sony for repair. So far, the system is somewhat stable, but apps keep crashing and there are random freezes followed by reboots.
