sources
Could you please publish your changes to the kernel and to the CM7 sources?
It would be nice when you publish your updates on Github. Having the actual source in github may help sorting out the remaining problems.
Thanks in advance,
Paul
(the same request has been posted on the treads of Anryl and jollaroi).
p.s.
You may not realise, but the U8160 kernel sources were published by Huawei in compliance with the GPL after some pressure on Vodafone by gpl-violations.org. The very same license requires that further modifications, including those to the build configuration, are published also.
no overclock for me

I just flashed this rom and now my MIN CPU frequency is 153 and Max CPU frequency is 691. The rom is working very well on u8110.
Edit: Only issue I've noticed now is that the internal SD of the phone doesn't mount, and that the external SD is mounted in its place when the phone is connected to the pc (even when you don't choose to mount it, and when you mount it nothing changes, then when you unmount it, the internal SD is still not mounted)
The good thing however is that the external SD is readable and writable so there's no need to use QtADB

I link to the drivers on your post only links to amon-ra recovery.
Also barcodescanner, google goggles, and flashlight all don't work and crash the camera along with them and you have to reboot to get the camera to work again. :/ Would be really nice if you found a fix because this rom is fine otherwise.
Thanks.

Updated ThunderBolt! to v2.3.2 with governor tweaks and bugfixes.
Introduction
ThunderBolt! is a script package by me, pikachu01 that combines a few notable tweaks shamelessly modified to the max as well as hacks and scripts that I came up on my own(and added tonnes of things over the months of development and testing). Without further delay, please read the rest of the OP
Features
Zach's modified system_tweak (I/O Sched, Readahead, VM, TCP, 3G, BFS/CFS tweaks)
Zach's modified screenstate_scaling script - VM Scaling
Darky's Zipalign script that actually works (modified it a bit to get it actually working. It was broken as is before this.)
Patched libsqlite that disables the need to fsync. Extremely fast database writes.
app_process from Fugutweaks and system_server from Honeycomb 3.2
Quasi-charged! - Only using Supercharger's script but with ThunderBolt!'s own LMK/ADJ/OOM. Supercharger Update9 RC3.2.
zipalign binary
sqlite3 binary
remount script - Included in /sdcard/bolt_scripts/
sqlite_optimize script - Included in /sdcard/bolt_scripts/
Benefits
Better performance, better battery life through Linux kernel tweaks catered for Android OS and flash memory.
Better battery life and performance through usage of screenstate_scaling whereby it switches governors/thresholds/VM depending on your screen state.
Better performance and battery life for database writes as fsync is not utilized anymore.
Better network throughput from TCP tweaks and 3G tweaks
Less RAM usage through zipalign. I found that market apps like Viber and PlantsVsZombies aren't zipaligned. Oh and Swype too. Surprised? Me too.
Reduced /dbdata, /data, /sdcard usage of *.db files and faster database access through defragmentization of sqlite db files (a lot of apps use Database to store data like Swype dictionaries, Game saves etc)
Faster disk access through remount script (noatime, disable barrier etc)
Less lags through Quasi-charger, with mutltasking (e.g. NFS shift + Opera mobile with 5 tabs fully opened and no lags)
Requirements
Android Gingerbread 2.3.x
At least 2MB free on /system (Delete unused ringtones or useless apps like Aldiko/Allshare etc).
Root
Kernel that supports init.d
Ext4 lagfix if you want to use the remount script
Downloads and changelogs are in the:
Original ThunderBolt! thread
Any support for Galaxy S SLC must be placed here rather than the original thread.
A few Galaxy SLC owners kindly asked me to post here so that the goodness of ThunderBolt! is shared to the masses.
Note: Some addons are device specific (labelled with i9000 for example). You can try using it, but it is not guaranteed to work. Something like 3G for i9000 should ring some bells as i9000 supports a lower speed compared to Galaxy SL.

as-is and already tested and confirmed working? or needs to be modified to work on our phone?
after spending some times reading the original thread...
the first post I still can understand how it works.
There are many files attached in the first post, those with "restore" is to revert back to original if you already tweaks it. But none of them is for i9003.
the files "ThunderBolt-CWM v2.3.2.zip" is the main files for thunderbolt tweaks. Flashing instructions already included in the first post.
So, the second post...stuck at half way reading...confuse and confuse...
basically doesn't understand what will each script doing...
Why post a thread like this thats has been copied from the original op.you can just post the link..this could lead the adventurerous mind of sl user as per script is diffrent depending on the phone..copy pasting is a not good manner as the op did a hard job on making it..

Flashed ,Sd card read speeds have reduced but write speed increased.
What is mmcfix??? It's a fix developed by epsylon3 for cm7 in order to prevent data corruption on several high class sd cards.
As you all know, our lovely Defy seems to have a problem when it comes to using sd cards... where *GENERALLY* all class 2 cards are fine, and problems may occur with higher class cards.
The problem is basically: the phone loses its write acces to the card, and therefor for example the photo camera app can take pictures, but can't save them... Another sign of this issue would be an absurd "SD Card damages/corrupted, please format" notification, and the sdcard never mounting again untill you well...re-format the card. This happens to me once a week, making me have to backup my stuff to the pc, format the card, and then put it all back on the card, and voila off we go till the next "false corruption".
it's seems that this problem is a software issue, and not hardware, and i have found out it is an OMAP kernel issue:
"SD card problems since 2.2 update is a bug in OMAP kernel sources for froyo. CyanogenMod developpers worked hard to patch the kernel but it is hard to correct motorola bugs due to the locked bootloader." (source: Motorola support forums")
THIS WILL WORK WITH ALL STOCK ROMS NOT WITH CM7 AND DERIVATES
Requirements:
* A rooted Defy
* A recovery installed (preferably Clockworkmod)((Note: if you don't have a recovery installed on your phone, please refer to this post:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032212))
* A recent version of busybox ((https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox&hl=en)) --> if you have titanium backup, you don't need this
NEW (UPDATED) INSTALLATION WAY:
I made a new cwm zip to make this fix fully compatible for stock roms (thanks to popcorn1122 for reporting files and folders to made this fully work on stock):
https://www.box.com/s/78a3a8a672af6f35bd84
(File are attached too)
copy to your sd card, preferably to the root of the SD, reboot your phone, open your recovery and choose "install zip from sd card", select this zip and install it.
THIS IS THE OLD WAY (FUNCTIONAL FOR ALL ROMS WITH INIT.D SUPPORT):
In order to solve this issue, we need Root Manager (or any Root file explorer), and follow this few steps:
1. Download mmcfix.ko http://mir.cr/1BSJ3DNE and 09mmcfix http://mir.cr/ORF4LHOM
2. Check that you have install-recovery.sh on /system/etc, if you doesn't have it, download from here: https://www.box.com/shared/ccd6eddad8bfcda5776b, and copy to the /system/etc folder, and set permissions (owner: Read-write-execute, Group: Read-execute, Others: Read-execute)
3. Copy mmcfix.ko to /system/lib/modules (mount R/0 in Root Manager in order to copy the file)
4. Set permissions for file (owner: Read-write, Group: Read, Others: Read)
5. Copy 09mmcfix script to /system/etc/init.d (mount R/0 in Root Manager in order to copy the file)
6. Set permissions for file (owner: Read-write-execute, Group: Read-execute, Others: Read-execute)
7. Reboot the phone to bootmenu. ((press volume down when led going blue at reboot))
8. You have to set "enable" in load all modules at CPU in bootmenu.
9. Reboot again the phone and let it boot normally.
10. Enjoy the fix!
ALTERNATIVE ZIP FOR ROMS WITH INIT.D SUPPORT:
Here is a installable zip via CMW, http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/0LKUJ2SV/mmcfix.zip_links , copy to your sd card, preferably to the root of the SD, reboot your phone, open your recovery and choose "install zip from sd card", select this zip and install it. ((Thanx to mys_721tx for the zip))
MD5 (mmcfix.zip) = 6a3c37fedee78825b8e2c42dfe073d59
If you need further help, PM me. If you find this thread helpful, please, hit THANKS button
Special thanx to epsylon3 for all the hard work
Our devs are above geniuses. They'll ever have my eternal gratitude, to infinity and beyond!
So this is the fix that fixes the problem of high class microsd. I have a microsd class 10 and the Walter roms always had the problem that was changed to read-only mode, but never had that problem on CM7
Thank you for sharing this
Isn't the mmcfix included in CM7 since months?
Don't know if the mmcfix is required to CM9
Good job!! I had this issue on Stock rom but on cm7 it works fine
My class 10 speed got reduced to 2-3 MBps but before it was 10+ MBps.. can I fix that?

Epsylon made this fix for Cm7 A long time ago, because we have a locked bootloader, people with froyo (cm7) kernel on cm9 must have this on for preventing data corruption. Don't know if GB Kernel, solved that problem... But if you want it, check /system/lib/modules, if Mmcfix it's there, the fix are on too

yes... Are you using a stock ROM right now?? Well, mmcfix it's for you. And maybe, you have to install "sd speed increase" in order to unleashed all the speed of your sd card. (this app uses a script written for somebody here in xda that tweak sd access speed)

I've applied it to MS2Ginger 3.0, but I'm still having the same strange issues as with the stock ROM or before the fix. Sometimes the camera does not save the photo, sometimes Mantano Reader drops Force Close and writes JDBC exception into the system log (trying to update database on SD card). How can I check if the mmcfix module is loaded into the memory? These issues never occur when I use CM-based ROMs, although I'm using the same kernel. Install-recovery.sh is present, I copied the script and the module to the right places and set the right permissions.
I've made a zip file for recovery.
I think it works but i haven't tested it yet. Wil do it later
install-recovery.sh is included, i hope that even if somebody have this file i doesn't matter
Enjoy!
PS. If it works, add it to the first post

Well I don't know how to explain, but for the first time I don't yell at my phone everytime I really need it, like to use gps or unlock the screen while listening some mp3.
My sdcard is 32 gb and it has almost 120000 inodes, so I removed it from antutu test.
PS: Now the apps manager also has wifikill and airdroid.
If you like it, please give me a feedback, so I can reopen this project or go for another.

Hi there,
I cooked a rom based on [ROM][ICS][P920] First ICS 4.0.4 Full 3D ROM Ported From SU760.
This rom already has overclock to 1.2 ghz, awesome bits from [MOD]Modified DSP Manager with BEATS audio. For CM9, MIUI & AOKP.(6.25.12)
Removed all the korean stuff and the bloatware.
Removed the golf game.
Use morelocale2 to change the language to your language.
I use the 21a br baseband and works nice.
I left my phone on stand by beside my bed with full battery, and on the morning it has 92% battery yet
zipalign and all the stuff from SCRIPTS][TWEAKS][ICS]SlaidyBoost Beta1
Credits for all this guys, I just cooked it on my phone and wanted to share.
To install, restore the files on zip with twrp.
I putted the boot, restore and system files on zip.
You must already be using the ics from the first link and the twrp from here.
Any questions are welcome, sorry for the poor english, I'm brazilian and the education system here is very poor.
Also has the camera from [DEV]JB4.2 Cam + ICS Camera
Thanks for all the guys who made this topics.

I did, is it supposed to just look exactly the same as what I am currently running? I installed as per your instructions and everything was the same except the additional applications. I also note that it wouldn't read my sd card after flashing as well. I as well as others appreciate your work mate so keep going, maybe this thread should be moved to development. Maybe you could theme the rom as well and put up some pictures. It might have been because I was in the car but the beats mod didn't seem to be doing anything.

I just saw, and I just download all the files necessary to make the installation process, make the entire process and give the feed necessary for us to improve and usufluir ICS on P920 :highfive:

Please test it for 2 days, This rom is very fast, I didn't put anything awesome, just use it because it's really fast.
The deodexed version gives me 6144 on antutu benchmark.
Create zip installer
parabéns pela sua customização, mas gostaria de saber se é possível você criar um zip installer, porque estou usando a versão 2.3.5.

Hi there,
This is not possible, because you must be already running the ics, cwm can't install all your system due the partitions sizes and specifications.
Best Regards,
Can this be moved to development?
I didn't created it there, because I couldn't create this topic there.
Thx.
I will try today this rom
Slow host download speed 22 min left :victory:
To much error . LG Keyboard has stopped to work...
my new performance tuning script, check it out!!
What's the concept?
-it boosts thread priority per process to gain extra performance.(hopefully)
How do i install?
-download the attachment
-find a way to launch it on any interactive terminal(you're on your own)
-type install
recommended applications:
download busybox from stericsonhere
download smanager here.
How to check if it works?
-type in whatever it says in the installer after you've installed.
-if it responds with error, then you've got problem.
it failed to run, what do i do now?(deeeebuuuuuugiiiiiiing)
-type in 'skeleton(or whatever you renamed it as) --verbose'
this will debug the program and show the result of what is going on.
if necessary, you can also try 'skeleton --bbpass --supass --verbose --renice 19'.
-paste the outcome here. i will help you.
How to run?
-run the program
-read the description.
hidden feature:
-'fork mediaserv 900 0.1 19'
will stop the stutters on audio.
-'randtest'
will cause havok to your device.
details will be updated in a distant future.
feel free to contribute to my code.

Little Tip: Update your OP.
"Find the flashable zips in thread" > well as this is a new Thread, nobody will ever find + Attachments are flashable lol
Make a Clear Structure, use your reserved second post
Write down the Features, Advantages, and How-to modify it with own values (even if u already did, you can still make clearer )
Make a clear Title:
[SCRIPT][TWEAKS](12/31/2012)
-=Lazerdroid & MP8Engine=- Gaming & UI Boost or whatever
Write down an easy How-To Use and Test for Not-so-Advanced (I won't call them n00bs ^*>) (Update your old tutorial)
Instead "Yo No Press Thanks" (which is actually pretty true) just "Please Press Thanks and rate 5* if you downloaded anything". Be thankfull... Thank You too!"
Don't just write CAPITAL LETTERS & USE ONLY 1-2 "!"
Only Recomnendations, I don't force you to anything.
Great Tweak btw
Thank You,
Jan
For not so Advanced users ( ) just flash the 2 zip files or anything else needs to be done?
Edit
Using i9000 with C-Rom Bean 4.2.1 v2

You need to flash only the first file (LazerDroid + MPEngine), the second file is only the MPEngine

Flashed the zip. All is well.
antutu score (engine8 only): 3303
antutu score (lazeroid 2.7 + engine8): 4480 (sd card write is slow as hell due to my movinand) database IO = 360 (has been better on other versions off lazeroid/vm lagtuner.
my setup: SGS 1 with slow nand, liveoc 120, ondemand, deep idle on, no big mem, 512 mb sd card read ahead, SAI on, BLN on
Still a GREAT tweak/script for my SGS.
Thnx LENAROX !
PS: [Question] What's your opinion on "SD card read ahead in semaphore" ? Mine is 512kb because i read that that more causes more lag...

Hmm.. Ill take a look about the sdcard read ahead tweaks.
If you want to disable that read ahead tweak(lazerdroid script)
you should erase all the 'tune your settings here' lines. It will permanently disable every sdcard tweak the script has.
btw, my antutu score is much worse than yours
but who cares, the games are smoooooth
Please, just call me 'Lag Doctor'.
I was wondering - do these tweaks work and have any effect on other phones? For example sgs2.

For all Android phones\tablets\PCs with Linux
MPEngine9 development has been finished. The current changes from the previous version are:
-removed minfree calculator(they dont work in some roms) replaced with MFKx2 multiplier.
-changed all the tweaks to non specified applet directory(includes lazerdroid)(a new fix for everything)
-alot stronger, best cache cleaner.
-theres more but i cant remember...
It still doesnt change the fact that i will release them in sunday.(if lucky i might be able to upload sooner than that)
thank you

Need help. When i install CWM_LazerDroid_2_7_MPEngine8_package.zip in recovery mode and i go then to system/etc/init.d/____ i dont have any new file.
There it must be system/etc/init.d/2LazerDroid2_7. Why i dont have this file?
