I cant root my using the framaroot method. Each time i touch gandalf the app closes . i have tried many times
i think it cause for the new firmware provided!
Try to download old firmware from sammobile.com, Then flash it via odin & then try framaroot again! ~Hope it helps!

Hello,
I need help on rooting froyo that I flashed few days ago on my i5801.
The one click root places update.zip on memory card, phone restarts, then when I tell it to update in recovery mode, it says can't mount dev/blk/mmcblk0.
Memory card is working fine, also tried formatting it with phone utility.
Please ... Help.

Hello I started my Friday by deciding I want to upgrade my galaxy s4 to lollipop I downloaded a file used Odin installed job done no problem powered on I have lollipop brilliant! As I am a root user I then found a root file I went into Odin into download mode and started I immediately received a fail I looked on my phone and it was halfway done before freezing I thought stupidly ok I'll plug it out and retry on powering on again I received a message saying firmware upgrade encountered an issue I thought ok that's fine I'll just go into download mode I tried and it stayed on the same screen I then tried recovery mode same problem many forums said to use kies doesn't support my s4 I tried all the kies software and it failed I then tried smart switch and failed I was very worried now and spent hours looking at forums to no avail now here I am hoping that someone will help me thanks guys look forward to a reply

I found a similar issue report here: [Q] Need help for S4 GT-I9505 " firmware upgrade encountered an issue" .
Suggested solution there was to boot into recovery, wipe data (= do a factory reset) then flash a new firmware with Odin.
You need to specify your exact device model (GT-I9500 or GT-I9505 or ???).
Then the firmware version your are running ATM.
And the rooting method which failed.
Maybe the rooting method doesn't work for the firmware version.

my phon don't work fine.
i try to root it, but odin say FAIL and now, if i try to power up, the phone tell me : firmware upgrade encounterd an issue. please select recovery mode in kies e try again.
i download kies but don't see my phone. i had android 5.0.1 and try to root whit chainfire Autoroot.

Find the stock firmware for whatever variant you have and use Odin. DO not go to 5.1.1 if you want root.

I just installed root about 2 months ago to my tab, and installed cwm with rom manager. However, I installed the wrong version of cwm and it never booted again. I thought my tab was in hard-brick mode. I searched Google, Naver, and even Baidu for informations of mbn or hex file of my tab. I tried to install the David's rom 5.1.1, but I failed at installing the cwm. Is there anyway to fix my problem? I have the original 4.4.2 P605K rom in my computer. Sorry for my poor English, and written from my iPhone in PM 8:41, December 2nd.
P.s. I'm quite busy. If you have time, send me the solution with email ([email protected]) or comments if you want.

Greetings and welcome to assist. If you install the original stock firmware through odin you can then re root and flash the correct recovery. Can you still get download mode and does your pc recognise your tablet ?

THAnks for your support, but my tab can't get in to download mode or anything. My computer recognizes my tab as QHSUSB_BULK , and I can't see anything but the black screen when I press the power button.

If your pc recognises the phone that is something but not being able to get into download mode is worrying. There are only 3 things I can suggest
Mskips toolkit here

or if you still have root then you maybe able to flash twrp through flashify from thr playstore or you can try flashing stock rom for your device through mobile odin

Sorry! SkipSoft Toolkit didn't worked with my tab. I just gave up and gonna buy a new motherboard
So i have this old ace 3, and i cant root it via odin flashing i dont know why. So i tried kingoroot, its fine at night, tomorrow morning i checked it up an voila, its ded. I havent install CWM or such, i cant enter recovery mode, barely open download mode. Please help, i already tried 3 stock firmware and still cant boot properly (every atempt results bootloop). What should i do?
To anyone who have stock firmware for my device please i need it, please give me the link to download it. Preferably XSE, as im an indonesian.

sorry for being noob. I try to research more on xda, and i found that you can download firmware from updato (website to download firmware, without download speed restriction). Hope it works
