Although I have liked the page and even if thousands and thousands more like the page, I am afraid no amount of pressure would change Sony's mind to upgrade it to Kitkat 4.4.4 let alone Lollipop 5.0.
It's like wishing kitkats or lollipop to rain !
I remember I tried to launch a big petition against Sony that we wouldn't not buy anymore of Sony if a certain phone isn't upgraded. It was like Xperia L. One major upgrade and nothing.
Worst of all, a lower end phone was upgraded to Jelly Bean while it was kept on ICS. We had thousands of followers, we wrote on all Sony official pages and told users to stay away from Sony , their lies and promises but in the end, it didn't help at all. They kept their word.
What surprises me is the beauty of Moto.
It's even planning upgrade for moto E to lollipop (official statement launched yesterday, the day Lollipop was launched) and I can be sure they'd upgrade it within a month from now if not earlier.
Motorola is the only company apart from Google itself that's being outstanding with updating its devices from lowest end to highest.
I deeply regret to suggest that you should stop wasting your time hoping Sony would act differently this time. A lot of your time be consumed in updating your posts, maintaining the page and looking for new members to join your page. In all honesty, I'd suggest you to go for Motorola after this phone or simply a nexus 5.
Good luck !
Let's void warranty then !

The time I take to void a warranty of my phone after purchase. Less than an hour !
I just turn on the phone, see the interface for a bit and options and then whoosh... Rooted with custom recovery and if I'm not happy with the ROM, custom ROM.
Then I charge my phone ...
by the way I'm using CM on my two devices and third runs on android L developers preview !
However if I needed to claim a device,I'll simply flash stock and say I don't know what happened .it won't turn on
Works like a charm.

Android's post on Google + ::
Want to get your hands on Android 4.1, Jelly Bean? Starting in mid-July, we’ll begin rolling out over-the-air updates to Galaxy Nexus, Motorola Xoom and Nexus S, and we’ll also release Jelly Bean to open source.
nice features but i feel like the design is a downgrade from ICS
the new search widget is ugly, same for the notifications, in ICS all uniform and now different sices and buttons everywhere
also why has the nexus 7 phone layout and now tablet layout? such a waste of space
This looks awesome! I love the notification bar design now! and project butter, makes you kinda think what they left out because I'm pretty sure originally it was going to be 5.0 but the OEMS told google to slow down because there updates are barely out.
Pushing me more and more towards a Nexus device in the future, though Sony and one or two others seem to be pretty timely with updates.
Hope it will come to the Iconia A700 Can't wait for it.
Everything sounds so awesome.....:good:
So excited! Looks really nice, many new features
Sent from my HTC One S using XDA
some quick great features
* project butter ui
* better touch response
* offline voice typing
* offline maps
* google now
* better camera app
* smart updates
I hope JB lends it self to bigger screened phones (Galaxy Note) better than previous versions of Android. So it would seem that we will have stock ROMs available by the end of July as well.
What's new in Android 4.1
also
as he asked a question for google search it spoke back, and yet nothing was said up front but I wonder if that isn't Majel?
So it will come to international Motorola Xoom? I have one and I don't have ICS though, I'm not informed but I believe there is an update but only for US is it?
Can anyone tell more about Google Now, at that time i can not rly understand what is this?
another thing
I really like how Google is sending out a Hardware Development Kit to all manufacturers now with Android updates so that it will allow manufacturers to get their updates out faster.
Try this article :
http://techcrunch.com/2012/06/27/google-now/
I take the bet that 2 weeks after relasing the sourcecode of 4.1 there will be a working build form my SGS at XDA!
thanks to all developers at XDA!
thanks to Google!
Android rocks!
Cant wait for this!!!
I'm very glad about all the new things in JB
Hope my S2 will have it soon , but anyway i'll take a Nexus 7 to get it as fast as possible DD:
Project butter ui.
Hm. Nice USP.

Correct me if I misunderstood the new cpu on touch feature but doesn't this mean android will now copy the ios method of prioritising touch events, or is it just literally making cpu run nearer maximum?

They are all fakes, just wait till the official version appears on the marketplace.
From what I've read, the official version would be BlackBerry Messenger (capital B in Berry). Most likely the developer would be RIM. A couple of hours left.
XperiaGo
JB.1.100 / Phantom Kernel 1.1.3
Stock, unlocked, and rooted.
As has been posted Several Times in Several Threads, BBM is NOT in the Play Store at the moment- those are all fakes (Check the Developer Pages for proof). BBM is going live for android in 70 mins - regardless of TimeZone.
To be sure, the app will appear from THIS developer (aka the official BlackBerry Limited): https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=BlackBerry Limited&hl=en
Also, you should be able to download it from the official Blackberry Website here:
http://us.blackberry.com/bbm.html?lid=us:bb:bbm&lpos=us:bb:bbm
Some users have managed to use the service for a few mins at a time through the leaked app, while Blackberry was doing "Server Maintenance/Checks" in anticipation of the launch. However, it has NOT been consistent. The service will ONLY work when the servers go live. Once again, this will be in 70 minutes- regardless of Time Zone
not launch yet
No wonder they are going down

Is it just me or does the ongoing notification keep disappearing for the rest of you folks who got the leaked to work? Feels like the app keeps getting killed and restarted.

If you all insist on going crazy over this little app, at least keep it in one thread. There is no need for a dozen threads with download links from a dozen different places.

Google is already testing its next Android KitKat update, according to a tweet posted by @LlabTooFeR,*who has accurately reported on the mobile industry in the past. The update, Android 4.4.3, allegedly carriers the build number KTU72B and may fix a number of things, but will reportedly also focus on a camera bug in the Nexus 5. That phone has been constantly knocked for having a mediocre camera, and earlier updates have tried to fix issues.
In fact, way back in December Google launched Android 4.4.1 which was supposed to clean up the Nexus 5 camera. It still isn’t quite up to snuff, however, and earlier this month Google promised that an update*with a fix for the camera was on the way. We think it’s also possible that Google could just issue an update for that specific phone, instead of dedicating an entire Android release for a single device, so it’s possible there are other performance enhancements and tweaks under the hood that we just don’t know about yet.
So far it sounds like Android 4.4.3 is relatively minor, which means you won’t have to fret if you’re picking up a new flagship that might not receive an update for many more months. The next major update probably won’t come until June, when Google may introduce it during its annual I/O developers conference.

Im thinking (hoping) we will get a new camera app, Google acknowledged the Nexus 5 camera bug and maybe it's just a conspiracy theory of mine, but the New HTC One (M8) has a lot of camera features in sense , not to mention the depth sensor and they said they were working with google to support it on the Google Play Edition of the M8 , and this version just happens to be released in 2-3 weeks, you can just preorder it, what do you guys think?
Man they spit them out fast :laugh:

Ha. You never know. Hopefully, we will see some awesome spike in camera performance... Not on the HTC One M8 level, but certainly a boost...
Now if only they could fix the Moto G camera... Hahaha.
Hope that this update makes the camera better, that is the only thing I think anyone could complain.

Really awesome!! Love the new UI. So this means that we're going to skip 4.4.4 and go directly for 5.0?
Yes
Can anyone explain why the baseband would need to be hidden in the video?
AFAIK the baseband / kernel details have details about the terminal or user that built it. They probably don't want that going around on a leaked ROM.
Thanks OP for posting that, lovely to see they're building it for this device.
Yes but it will have a ultra secured bootloader...

Early 2015
Samsung should release a beta this month .... prevents bugs
Is this really samsung :')
the problem with letting the public have this rom early would be all of us on xda we like to tinker and we might make a fully working more optimised (considering its a beta lollipop) version that could be considered a daily driver
This is for i9500 just for now ...I9505 will be updated later
Btw. It seems s4 will stick with older version of weather app (non transparent one )
Unlucky 'Ultra Power Saving Mode' is not available in settings Why???
Well s4 wont probably get all the new stuff from s5/note 4 just basic new ui and maybe few addons...

Hi,
I have followed the following steps to change region to use Samsung pay. But no matter how many times I've restarted or cleared cache of wear os app, I couldn't update the watch to One UI 4 that was recently rolled out.
Steps used to change region:
[Guide] GPay in unsupported country (Yes, India too)
Okay so after having tried several guides, apps hacks and what nots, I couldn't get GPay to work here in India. However after some more fiddling around I ended up getting access to rather easily than expected. I'd straight away get to the steps...

Be happy that you haven't updated. My watch4classic has updated and there are too many bugs incl Calendar complication. and AoD being screwed by Samsung for all custom watchfaces.
Is there any further updates rolled out? I'm still stuck in the same state without updates
