[Q] usb otg cable question

hi, i am planning on buying a micro usb to usb female cord and i wanted to plug the micro usb into the xoom, and a mouse into the usb female. would that mouse work with the xoom, or will the drivers for the mouse not work? thank you
I'm not sure, I don't use a mouse on my Xoom. But I have heard from other Xoom users that the Bluetooth Mouse works.

If you want to use a USB connected mouse you need the Xoom to be in USB host mode. You need to have flashed a rom or kernel that supports USB host mode and you need a USB OTG cable, such as the Motorola Camera Connection cable. You can't just use a regular USB cable with a micro end and a female end.
but you can build your own OTG cable.
buy a micro usb B head
and a usb A recept
and solder it together
the schematic is quite the same like the factory cable
instead of soldering pin 1 to 5 (+) like the factory cable u have to solder pin 4 and 5 together (ground)
you can find a lot of DIY tut´s just google it

I can provide OTG HDMI converter Factory cable. If you need, you can PM me.
Just bought this cable from Amazon
It works just fine with wireless Microsoft Keyboard+Mouse but was not able to make it work with my Lumix Camera and Card Reader. Seems there are problems with Android version 4.0.4
My Xoom is MZ604 WIFI only NOT Rooted. Keyboard and Mouse works fine even without rooting it.

I think it's the XOOM do not support your camera module(no this module driver).Maybe you can upgrade OS to FIX.This issue is ONLY driver issue.

[Q] OTG cable on Cyanogenmod 10.1.2 not working

so i finally found out about the usb host cable or aka OTG cable. I have a verizon S3 model SCH-i535. With experimenting, I have gotten my Canon 7D to work with certain apps. but flash drives of any sort, my WD 2tb usb3 external hard drive, razer keyboard, or logitech wireless headset, or wireless mouse doesnt seem to work with it. my razer mamba mouse did work. but it may be because its wired. has anyone else had experience with this ROM and phone combination?

[Q] Moto G 2nd Gen OTG

Does the MOTO G 2nd gen support OTG USB support?
I think as long as the device has a mini usb port, it's gonna work ^^ I think every version of Android past I think 3.1 will be fine with usb keyboards and mice. Usb drives/External Harddisks however may need a bit more work to mount and get working!
