Until yesterday, it was all well. I am running JB 4.2.2 (15.3.A.1.14). It's running on Stock ROM, but rooted with bootloader locked. Today onwards, immediately after opening Google Chrome, the phone hard reboots. Any idea or suggestion on this?

I have an Optimus One, and I have tried to put an ICS ROM on it, but it always gets stuck while booting up, and I can't boot into recovery either. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Did you flash the right ROM for your phone? Did you do a full wipe?

I'm not entirely sure what I did, but I was finally able to get into recovery, so I now have a version of CM9 running properly with a Google apps package added on. Thanks for the suggestion, though

I flashed gapps 4.2 about 2 weeks ago and everything was fine until yesterday. My camera app freezes after taking a photo and my gmail app won't load all my emails. Now here is the weird thing, I've flash different gapps and they're still there. I've done a factory reset and wiped the cache and dalvik cache and still nothing. Its seems that the only way to fix it is un-rooting it. Is there any other way to delete the gapps off my phone?

Just flash your ROM again. No need for a factory reset.

I have and still nothing. I've tried different Roms too.

Delete them manually. Use a file explorer and go to system, app and delete the ones you want gone.

Facing the same error
Hi,
I'm facing the same error! My SGS3-i747 (AT&T) is running stock Android 4.1.1, and I have rooted my phone. Also, I'm a noob :fingers-crossed:

Same issue here on 4.2.2 (Illusion) on my I747M. I made the mistake of uninstalling Maps, hoping it would reset something in the store... Now I have no Maps at all. lol
According to a statement I read from Google yesterday, this was a play store bug but it got resolved. Have you tried today?

Try updating to the lastest Gapps version for your os. I had the same problem and that worked for me
I am having the same problem using omega 50.1. Is there a solution? It says 'Application requires newer SDK version'
Hi,
I am having trouble updating my Nexus 5 to the latest version. I get the notification to update and it begins to run however, after about 20% it errors and all I can see is the little android error icon. Has anyone else encountered this?
Have you made any changes to the ROM prior to trying to update?

No It is running the stock version with no dodgy apps installed at all.
Strange. Maybe the update file is corrupted.

Has anyone got an answer or is there an issue with the device and I need to replace it? it's currently running 4.4 and is trying to install 4.4.2... Could it be an issue with it trying to bypass the 4.4.1 update? I have even done a factory re set and it still errors when trying to install the update.
You could just download the 4.4.2 factory image and manually flash it (leaving out the userdata.img so you don't reset everything) you'll be fine

Hi,
Same thing happened to me, just flash SuperSU in recovery: http://download.chainfire.eu/382/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip, it should do the trick.

Amazing! worked perfectly thanks for quick reply !! woot!
just so you know as well... root is independent of ROMs. you can have custom ROMs without root.
And also its not rooting that wipes a device, its unlocking the bootloader
