[Q] Tempered Glass questions - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

1) Are there are tempered glass screen protectors that are finger print resistant?
2) Do any of the ones that qualify for the above question have a problem with squeaking when using a stylus? I have a matte screen protector on my phone and many of the styli I have tried have squeaked when dragging the tip across the screen.

[Q] Double screen protector? Tempered Glass + Film protector?

Does using a double screen protector where the inner layer is a film protector and the outer is a tempered glass screen protector is SAFE and would not cause decrease in sensitivity and screen visibility problem? Anyone here tried it?

With the gorilla glass on u won't need any screen protectors. I never put any of those on mine. Not even a single scratch yet. And putting them does considerably decrease touch sensitivity and the colours don't look cool!
Not a big fan either of those things. If you have a decent casing for your phone and you handle it with some care you don't need those things.

Review: JOTO Gear 2 Screen Protector

Quick review of the JOTO - Samsung Gear 2 Screen Protector Film I ordered from Amazon.com.
These protectors are very clear but the adhesive doesn't create a good bond at the edges. You can see this lift in the picture I provided. Check out the bottom portion of the protector. They do not cover the entire glass area of the screen.
My order came with 3 very thin protectors. Straight out of the box one of the corners on all of the protectors was slightly bent (not creased), which may be the cause of the edges not sticking well. The adhesive seemed to be on the weak side too. I tried applying 2 of the protectors, but got the the same result.

From what I've read in the manual, they don't recommend using screen protectors as it could cause "Do not use a screen protector. This causes touch screen sensor malfunctions."
I don't know if this is the usual Manual talk, as this is the first time I've actually read part of a manual
Check out the manual here:

Good review, was thinking of picking some up but I might steer clear of these.
I picked up the Spigen screen protectors and they fit perfect. I wonder if they sent you a protector that was designed for the Neo since it has a smaller screen?

I had bought the same screen protectors and had the same issues you did. The top and bottom seemed like the had no adhesive on them at all and the screen protectors themselves are terrible. I ended up ordering some armersuit screen protectors as thats the brand I had on my original galaxy gear and I loved it, i'll post a review once they actually come in.

Using Honor 6X without screen protector?

As we all know tempered glass screen protectors suck on 2.5D glass and the place where I live, I can't get a normal plastic screen protector just to prevent scratches.
So are there anyone of you Honor 6X users out there who use it without a screen protector? If yes, did you encounter any scratches?

It does't have any enhanced option for front glass (e.g. corning gorilla glass)
So it would be prone to scratch....

I already know that that's why this thread was made and that wasn't the question.
I've had mine for a couple months now with no screen protector. It's fine

You sure you don't even have the plastic one applied that some got out of the box?
Your question does not make sense since it depends on how you take care of your phone, whether you place keys and coins on the same pocket as your phone, or you lay it face down.

Yep, removed that when I tried a tempered glass screen protector. Didn't like it, so removed it and never replaced it with anything else.
Try the Trink impossible glass. Its not thick like a tempered glass and its flexible too. There are some videos that shows the durability of this glass. If you're not aware of it, then do check it out. They even have their own online shop. But again, it won't cover the entire screen.

Screen protector

Hey guys, I'm new on this forum and I would like to ask for help regarding a screen protector. My phone came with a pre-installed screen film protector and I replace it with a glass protector that I bought on ali, but the glass wont fit on the edges on the phone. I read the feedback from other users and they have the same problem. I want to ask if any of you has bought a glass protector for the p9 lite 2017 that actually works or even a regular screen protector it would be nice, because I can't use it with the edges not glued, it looks bad and after the first day of using it, the glass is cracked on one edge.
Thanks for your help!
There is no way to fix this because the screen is curved on the sides, and they can't make curved glass screen protectors, the only way to avoid this is to use a plastic screen protector

Diminished Digitizer Input

I never had this problem with any of my previous devices where I lose touch sensitivity after installing a tempered glass screen protector. The issue appears to come from a misaligned tempered glass. When I look at each curved side of the tempered glass, I noticed the glass slightly (very slightly) was shifted near the bottom bezel. Readjusting it slightly improved the sensitivity to normal. Hope this helps anyone in the future.

I've been in the same situation. Tried several different types of glass protectors, but none of them was good. Just ordered some hydrogel foil.

Got it from here. So far so good. Way better than any useless tempered glass screen protector.
