[Q] Connecting LG Optimus G Pro E988 to TV

Hi,
I just bought a LG Optimus G Pro E988 Phone in India. I want to connect it to my HD TV, but was unable to do so with a micro USB to HDMI Cable. I tried looking up at the settings to mirror or extend my display on my phone to TV, but did not find anything related to it. I also tried connecting my data cable to the USB port on my TV, that was not recognized either. Can anyone suggest me a way to connect them (my TV is not the latest SMART TV with wifi connectivity)?

If you want to connect your LG Optimus G Pro to yout TV, you have to use only SlimPort adapter and male-male HDMI cable. About SlimPort adapter you can find on web. How to connect your phone to TV via SlimPort adapter you can find on web (YouTube etc.). You can not connect your phone to TV directly via HDMI cable or via MHL adapter.

Where to get Slimport cable for LG G Pro 2?

Hi all,
As per subject title, any idea where to get? Or can use any type of Slimport cables? Cos on the compatibilty lists tht I saw on the ads for Slimport cables in Ebay does not list LG G Pro 2 but only have Nexus and G Pro.
Pls advise.

Desktop mode with LG V500N Korean Edition

Hello all, I have a usb-c to HDMI cable that worked fine with my Samsung S8. I plug it into my V50 and monitor and no popup notification for screen sharing. Can anybody recommend a cable that will work properly with the V50 and a monitor / TV with HDMI? I'm surprised it wouldn't work with my old cable but there's clearly some type of compatibility issue. Thanks!
