I've got two htc one x's. One is my main phone and the other one is my play-around phone...
I cannot for the life of me get these freaking drivers installed. I'm at my wits end and I'd love some help.

I have it installed and it doesn't pick up either of the phones.
Try using adb.

adb won't recognize the phones, and I'm using windows 7.
That's the problem. I hear windows seven is the worst for it. Try a vista or windows 8.0+
Actually, Windows 7 is fine. And Windows 8.1 won't work without some driver hacking.
I have a vista. ...and it worked fine. Try that.

Windows 7 is perfectly fine, no need to use a different OS. Do you have any other phone drivers/software installed on your PC? Are you using a usb 2.0 port? Are you using the original HTC cable?

Wont pick up my phone when connected to qpst. Debug on see the port in system devices but not in qpst. Help!
I was told this phone can not be accessed to reprogram. I can not get my CDMA Workshop to read the phone, although I do get it to connect to the phone on com port 4. If you need Drivers I have them, Let me know. I searched for 4 hours and finally found them.
it really depends on how your trying to reprogram the prevail, when in doubt go for the nv folder

I'm in serious need of said drivers and I've been looking everywhere for them, since the phone just won't play nice with QPST. (Sorry for resurrecting this, BTW.)

Bootloader still not unlockable. Root still works!

Does this have the visual voice mail pre installed? I know you can manually install but don't want to.

enable usb debugging. stop any adb processes that are currently running on your PC. and make sure HTC Sync isn't running as well.
okay updated . And I lost everything Root is gone. can I re root now ?
After compatibility update only adb will work. i have tried looking for a solution on google. http://www.droid-now.com/2013/10/fix-working-fastboot-drivers-windows-8-1-x64/ this didn't work and nothing will.

If you have an HTC ONE S then you are right. The drivers for it do not work when in fastboot mode. You can go back to win8 or win7.

iv been trying to unlock the bootloader in honor 8 in 1 week now. and did the official-method but it got stuck on "waiting for device"
and also when i tried to install the huawei drivers in windows 10 the setup wont run. i also installed the adb and fastboot the latest version.
do i need to use dc unlocker? iv looked into that but no version supports honor 8 it seems like.

What is your "fastboot getvar all"? Maybe using wrong unlock tool.

Get your phone to bootloader mode. Find button combo to access bootloader. Type in a CMD prompt fastboot getvar all. Post outcome.

It's probably cuz your PC doesn't have appropriate drivers installed.

With the device powered off, hold Volume Up button to force it to boot to Qualcomm download mode.
For detailed procedures, please consult the linked threads above. There is no reason to repeat the same thing again.
Make sure the path of the extracted files doesn't contain any non-English character. The tool isn't unicode aware.

Its very useful tool for me becoz i will always brick by flashing testing different roms and mod combinations so if the method is fixed and starts to works it will help me a lot and lot of others hope our developers fix it thank you developers for your hard work

u didn't let it download all the way, its a very slow download right now, ur ops should be about 3gb, it appears to look corrupted, look at the file size it should be 3,545,232 KB

but do u see how ur enchilada_22_H.07_180513.ops is 35,45,232KB and mine is 3,545,232KB. Not sure why and that could be a possibility of it not working

My enchilada file is 3,545,232 and it has the same error.

I had the error too, what ended up working was dragging and dropping the folders. All good now
