Alright guys I need some help I just got att service no less then 2 monthes ago my son was playing with my phone and in the process dropped and it broke my LCD isn't cracked but he digitizer is. I called into att I purchase the phone warranty but they want to charge me 199 which is ridiculous but I'm not eligible for an upgrade as well.. I need some help cuz this is my only phone that I can use on att since my other phones are work phone.
Question is how do I get it to basically no cost i had warranty with other company and it never cost that much

When you call into AT&T ask for the number to the warranty department. They will ask you a few questions to determine if that's the right department you are looking for. Just say you charged your phone and it no longer turns on. Eventually after lying a bit more you will have a replacement device on its way to you. Works for me all the time and have never failed yet.
They say all kind of things to scare you out of it, but nothing ever happens. I don't know if it is just my luck. I warranty at least 3 times for the year just to keep my phone looking brand new and I send it in working perfectly fine.

I know. That's why I'm explaining to lie. It's a gamble, but from my personal experience they never really check. I warrantied perfectly working phones before and nothing happen and on the other end pretty messed up ones too. It's just advice, that's all

Karma man karma.....always comes back to bite u in the ass.....
Sent from my SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
If you wanna keep karma intact call Samsung and ask them how much it would be to replace the digitizer. If you don't believe in karma just flash a ROM to it from another Samsung phone. Bring it to ATT store and say WTF my phone just stopped working.
Lol thanks rapstar I can definitely give it a shot. Here my thing jyazzie that your correct they don't warranty hardware breaking so by my son dropping the phone voided the warranty. But here my thing I have had other providers and they always warrantied at least one accidental replacement and for 199 I could just go and buy something else like a galaxy note. But seriously 199 for a phone that is on the do not sell list lol. Thank you all for the help and feed back. But I'll see if my work will let me get one temporarily.

I'd try to brick it through Kies, tbqh. Can be done without the screen on if you restore to 2.3 in ODIN. It's a risk that they see the digitizer and have a "WTF" moment, but you stand a good chance of getting away with saying, "I did the upgrade through Kies and now it doesn't work."

Indeed. I actually had Samsung replace my screen when I broke the glass a few months ago. They charged me 158 and they covered shipping both ways. I had the phone back in 8 days. Since they did the work it is still under warranty if anything else should go wrong. It was actually cheaper than any of the glass/digitizer units I could find online.

Thank you for your email regarding your HTC One S which has chips on its protective coating.
We can pick this up for inspection and repair in our UK repair centre, but I cannot guarantee it will be fixed within warranty, free of charge, until it has been inspected by one of our engineers.
Our repair process is outlined below for you to read and respond to if you wish to proceed :
I am sorry that your device is not in a perfect condition at this time. I would like to arrange for your phone to be repaired in our UK Repair Centre. Please read the following instructions carefully. By proceeding with the repair you agree to the terms and conditions of the repair service.
During repair, we will install the latest software as part of the diagnosis and testing phase. All the data from the phone will be lost, except for data stored on the SD card, SIM card, or online services, if applicable. If this is possible please check our online Help pages on how to backup your data.
Do not send the SD Memory Card, SIM Card, and other accessory items included or not in the product's box. All we need is the bare device. We can’t be held liable for any of these being sent in as they won’t be returned.
Package the device as you would like to receive it. In a good strong box with plenty of padding. You can use the original box, but it will not be returned to you. This information overrules the one in the repair tick-sheet instructions.
Should our engineers find any physical damage, wear and tear, illegal software, illegal repair attempts or your warranty has expired, the repair will be chargeable and we will send you a quote via email.
You are under no obligation to accept the quote and if you decline, there will be an approximate £25 diagnosis, shipping and handling fee to have the device returned to you unrepaired.
If the device is within warranty period and the fault is covered then there will be no cost to yourself.
Liquid-damaged devices are returned immediately, unrepaired and without charge as they are classed as beyond economic repair.
If you are within your warranty period and the fault is covered there will be no cost to yourself.
Repairs will take approximately 7 working days from when it arrives at the HTC Repair Centre and it's subject to parts availability.
UPS can collect your device from any address in the UK from Monday to Friday, 13:00 to 17:00 except weekends and public holidays.

Sorry bro, I got the entire handset replaced under warranty so don't know of and cheaper prices. however someone from chennai had posted links for a local shop there which cost him 600/-.
If you are in Delhi then I'll suggest you to take a trip to gaffar market. Rest I'm not sure.
