somebody said that in JMP™ v15 Red Chilli JB 4.2.1 the you tube is not working or worked for few days and stopped, the same thing happened to me i re installed the ROM changed the kernel still it was the same YouTube problem . at last i downloaded and installed the YouTube version 5.0 and disabled its update in Google play, re booted the phone wow now the YouTube plays well with crystal clear audio. why don't you try this method for the people having YouTube issue in jmp ROM.

Hi Ive been installing a tonne of ROMs this past few days and the cyanogen ROM is pretty amazing, only problem I have found is the flash video playback within websites is not that good, even the official CM7 Roms have had this problem with choppy flash video.
I have found an update zip in the forums that makes flash video and 720p video playback silky smooth, however it only installs on froyo and when trying to install the update via recorvery on CM7 it comes with an error during process and is ubale to install (doesnt do anything to booting up so didn't affect ROM when unsucessfull)
the link below is where a member posted this 720P playback update zip:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...3&postcount=24
if its possible to adapt the code for installing on CM7 gingerbread, you would have cracked the problem that even the official CM7 ROMS still have,
Your link doesn't work.
Btw. Quarx said he wants to enable hardware accelerated flash on CM7.
hw flash works in nightlys. if you want it to work on older releases replace libstagefright.so or rebuild one from source.
Oh and flash playback is incredibly bad on stock roms. On cm7 nightly 480p is watchable and 720p is only a little choppy while on stock 360p is barely watchable even on leaked 2.3.
And why did you opened a dev tread for that? General is ok but why dev. And working HW flash is stated in the OP of CM7 thread
Havent tried the latest nighlty but if its hardware accelerated must be good. that link was working today as I double checked it but it definitely feels hardware accelrated once zip is applied on a froyo rom not stutter whats so ever, im using BBC news embeded flash videos as a benchmark as they are pretty demanding videos to play with mico choppiness ever 10 seconds without the mentioned update zip
BBC news videos are fluid for me on CM7 nightly. Once it became choppy in full screen, I think some other service was using a lot of CPU at the same time.
heres the correct link from that post with the really good decoder
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11018223&postcount=24
just installed the nightly rom and playback 720p video fine but flash is no where near as good compared to using froyo and this update zip which I tried to install (after testing) on the nightly rom and it gave me continuous loop.
Back to nordic for me.
UPDATE!
Update latest rc0 implements flash hardware decoding, its amazing!
I've got the Google Videos app installed that shipped w/ the TeamEOS v1 ROM & can watch movies rented from the Market, but if I update to Google Play Movies, when it starts up I get the "Bad rooted device! Dats a bad kitteh!" error. Was the version that shipped with the ROM enabled to play rentals, even though we're rooted? or is it just dumb luck? I reverted back to the old version via TiBu & alls well. Also wondering this, if there was a change to the ver that this ROM shipped with, is the latest version of the app going to be updated as well.
TIA,

hi, im new to the whole root/flashing concept but decided that motorola are dragging their heals in too long to bring the xoom mz601 upto to ics if ever so ive managed to unlock/root and flash with everything all up and running apart from internet connection not working but ive found solution and the only other issue ive got is both the gmail and youtube apps fail to update from playstore with the message (package file was not signed correctly. uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again) so i need advice on how to fix this please, how do i remove apps and if so will it cause a system issue? anyone help a noob?
did you flash a gapps package with your new rom??
@draxin hi, yes i flashed EOS_GApps_ics_4.0.3_v10.5 immediately after flashing Eos-umts_everest-2.0.0.zip
both gmail and youtube work but show update in playstore and give that package file was not correctly signed message when trying to update. just noticed there is a newer version of gapps named: gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip which ive downloaded directly from the goo.im app but am not sure if i need to flash Eos-umts_everest-2.0.0.zip again first or can i just flash the new gapps and will i need to clear anything?
update
Just updating that I decided to try a reflash of Eos-umts_everest-2.0.0.zip and then immediately flashed new gapps (gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip ) and after a couple of tries I've now got latest Gmail and YouTube as the latest gapps had removed them which made life easier for a noob like me. Loving my Xoom even more now with team eos ics running on it and looking forward to the next stable build which hopefully gives the data arrows on network signal as its really odd not knowing if data is being transferred in/out plus extended battery life would be great too although I'm sure I along with thousands will be waiting for jellybean stable release by the year end.
Seems I came late in here. Anyway, you could have flashed the latest gapps without reflashing the rom. Good luck and enjoy ..

hi, never too late as its nice to know what is possible and what is not. is there away to get just play music to flash as ive managed to delete it as for some reason it wont play any of my songs yet it finds them ok, not sure if the old music.apk was in gapps but ive got that and it works but i would like to see if i can get the newer music2.apk to work
Music.apk is part of android (aosp)
Play music is on the play store.
Gmail and YouTube are no longer part of gapps I believe because they are both on the play store

I thought play music was in the play store but its not anywhere to be found in UK store which is why I was asking, I could flash gapps again as that's in there but it wouldn't play any songs. If there is a fix for it playing then flashing gapps would be easiest option I believe, I've been told I can flash gapps without flashing rom again but should I wipe cache and dalvik before any flashing?

Always give a new rom sometime to settle in before you judge battery life. Like 4 or five cycles and you'll see how it's working.
I'm glad to hear you're loving the Xoom, running EOS!
I have a Team Eos UMTS Jelly Bean ROM (now with nightly #103).
JB is a really huge improvement compared to any previous android releases. It's fast, smooth and it's a really pleasure to use it.
Unfortunately it can't be played for video editing purposes because there isn't any good video editing application neither in bundle with JB nor in the play store.
In the past, with Honeycomb and ICS, there where a Google video editing application (Movie Studio) but since nightly 84 Team EOS decided to remove it from their ROM.
As I need this program I'm trying to install it. Googleing on the net I found the original VideoEditorGoogle.apk. It's a system application fom Jelly Bean so I tryed to install it as a normal application but it doesn't install. Then I tryed to install it manually inserting it in system/app with Root Explorer, but even if I previously settled the write permissions it can't be installed.
So I would really need an advise.
Do you have any idea or suggestions on how to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot

I would very much like to see movie studio included in eos, since I record video on my phone a lot and need to edit it on the go on my Xoom, rather than on my laptop

It is working fine for me, but I had constant crashes to some apps requiring data - ultimate solution for me was to disable the Xiaoma Download engine.. Open the "Downloads" app and go to settings => disable xiaomi download engine.
No problems ever since.. hope it helps.
I 've been tested this Rom a month ago without big issue like this. Just Battery drain
Have you make a Full Wipe ?
I came back to stock rom because it was impossible to use my phone... If I choose wifi>crash, option>crash, etc
Maybe it's because i flashed it with cwm ?
