The battery bit worried me, but the reviews on here seem to contradict it.

I found that review a bit odd as other reviews say it has good battery life. What is the general consensus on it in this area, is the battery life good or bad?
Mine is not good. But I use it a lot. ! Like lasting for 8-9 hrs. But it did last for around a day when I didn't use it much

yeah dont get the battery thingy also.. engadget said its great and they say it awefull.. odd
How come they didn't include the different aspects of the Sensation's camera in the review? Weird..
The Arc & GS 2 could do almost a day on average use for me so I would like to see the same in the Sensation.
7.5 hrs and the battery is dead. :/

Not very heavy use for the first 3 hours. Screen was off with WiFi on. Then I used it quite heavily like for browsing and songs. But still it should have lasted for long. I had brightness on 100% aswell.Nexus one had battery life because I used it a lot aswell but it used to last around 18 hrs. I'll try turning off WiFi and other stuff when i don't need them and check how it goes. And with brightness on auto.

It's not another HTC where how good people's battery life varies from handset to handset irrespective almost of how much it is used? That some examples just for better than others?

not a very thorough review, and yes the battery stuff is nowhere near what other sites say...yikes!

[Q] SenseRom: Music & WiFi

Ok guys, im going away for a 3 days trip for some business and i really need to have a long life battery ROM on my phone.
Right this moment im using MIUI 1.10.21 but i cant trust it for this job, as its wifi is not that strong and i really dont know why.
Anyway i would like to know which Sense Rom [3.0 or 3.5] would do better with the battery life in heavy[not much tho] usage with a lot of wifi and music ahead.. edit: Beats By Dr. Dre IS a MUST for me ;p
Any ideas.? I really love Sense 3.0 Roms and i would stick to VU but as it seems 3.5 is everywhere and also Runnymede came to the scene
Hello,
Was testing many ROMs the past weeks. Endymion / Hyperion seem both very good and are sense 3.5 / 3.0. You should check them out.
Hope I could help
RCMix 3DS had very good battery life and beats audio. Very few bugs on it to. Just watch out for the volume buttons which can wake the phone up.

Hyperion!!
Based on latest OTA, awesome battery life, and Beats WiFi works well.
Rock stable ROM too.

Hyperion ROM but simply take a phone charger with you

Extra battery? I've seen some real cheap ones on Amazon, which I found after looking at a thread in the accessories forum.

General rule of thumb with batteries: you get what you pay for!
Cheap ones may seem a much better idea, but rarely live up to quoted capacity, and don't last as long before needing retirement.

I Recommend downloading SenseMOD from ROM Manager and then adding the Beats Audio extension
Go for Hyperion. Best battery life any sense 3 rom has...
Beamed from far far away using xda premium.

Anker batteries are dirt cheap, and the have a higher capacity ..
They also have excellent reviews from the Sensation people!
I'm considering one..

How long has hypersensation v2.0 been out

HOW STABLE AND FAST IS V2.0?and is the battery life great?I ran v1.5 for a week and it just froze up on me so I removed it.How long have you been using it.

You are kidding right?
Your kiding right. Lol

Dude nobody is kidding. Everyone is tired of these pointless questions and you're pissing people off. I don't think android is for you. Get your iPhone back. I've been on here going on 3 years and have asked as many questions as you have in 4 days. Use the search button for gods sake.

Hello,
I'm using it and i'm very happy with this rom. Very fast, a real AOSP rom with good battery life.
Thread title:
[ROM][MAY.24][ICS][AOKP-CM9][75Mb]HyperSensation-v2.0
Try to figure it out yourself from that
Since you cant seem to get any rom or app working properly, the logical conclusion is tharmt your phone is broken.
Hit it repeatedly with a hammer to put it out of its misery and go buy a different phone.

Well, honestly above does seem to be a logical solution! :banghead:

Use search....

Ram

Is there is any way to increase ram????
I think not possible
But search in Google (ram expander) : it will use your sd-card space to increase ram size
Like you see in win7 when you plug pendrive it will ask you for "ready to boost"

Take a look at this tutorial. But I don't think it'll work.

Normally in linux that's kind'a what swap does, but don't expect mirrecles. Alto I think 512 is enough, explorer's main down side is 600mhz's proccesor not ram.
Thank everyone for posting

HTC Explorer has absolutely no downside.. Itz a bugdet phone, yet gives the performance of an HTC One V.. This kind of performance is considered very good..
The only downside of this phone, yet, is that we have no method to turn S-OFF.. Once we have that, it'll be a perfect little beast..
Our Little Explorer Rocks!!!

Lol! U kidding ? Im holding a One V right now in my hand without any silly tweaks or some rom and its unrooted on the other hand ive explorer with a custom rom and root rights etc.. but still V can feel the difference as u can compare 2 cell phones which hav a vast difference in their prices.

I didnt mean literally ofcourse.. I meant figuratively.. Itz giving a very good performance, when compared to the other phones in its price range..
The comparison betn HTC Explorer and OneV is irrelevant, and was merely a joke.. I failed to make it clear..
So yes, I actually WAS kidding..
But seriously though.. Very nice phone..
You can try swap and compcache.
Also you can try to increase lowmemorykiller values to have more free RAM.

[Q] Its time to move on (Need a new phone)

I've had the sensation for quite a while now, but I still think I'll be using this lil' sucker for a bit more until I can invest in a new phone.
The reason I made this thread is just to ask if someone can recommend another phone with a better battery life than the Sensation
I'm looking for something affordable too :silly: lets say I'm willing to spend about no <$150
Thanks for any help
Wait for upcoming Motorola X phone.
