Hello!
My name is Macław, and with my friend, @marcin1147 we're we are a NovaFusion team.
Our site: http://novafusion.pl/
Our FB: http://fb.com/AndroidNovaFusion
We're team of good friends, with huge experience in Android Developments.
Our history has began in 2011 year when I decided to start porting Ice Cream Sandwich to my brand new Galaxy Gio. It wasn't easy - we had no sources, no any other ROM than CM7 and no developers.
Few days later some guy wrote to me on XDA. It was Marcin - he wanted to join me.
After weeks of hard work we've successfully ported CM9.0 (ICS) to Gio. After that we've founded GalaxyICS (later renamed to MaclawStudio, and then to NovaFusion). team. Just after first Gio release, due to lots of requests, we've published port of our work to Ace and it was first functional ICS for Ace also.
We had also episode with Galaxy Mini, but due to personal issues we've closed Mini's development quickly.
In 2013 we decided to go on and start new era - we've switched to Galaxy S3 Mini and we've ported a lot of different ROMs for it, basing on Android 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3.
We were first developers who ported KitKat to any of Samsung devices. Also we have only one fully working KitKat for Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini.
In free time I also provide KitKat ROMs for Ace II and S Advance.
Now it's time to make another step.
WE DECIDED TO BECOME A PART OF GALAXY CORE COMMUNITY!
We want to make the best ROMs for this device.
S3 Mini, Ace II & S Advance users - don't worry. We don't leave you
We've prepared a schedule of our work, so you can stay tuned with everything we do

To this time, you have to help us to build an awesome community (just like we have on different forums, like S3 Mini), we need a lot of people here!

4.4.3 or even 4.5 (after official announcment ofc)
We just need some time. The first step is to port Android 4.1.2 based CyanogenMod 10 and fix all (or the most) bugs. Then we can proceed to porting our ROM to 4.2 (or even directly 4.3), and then to KitKat
But please don't ask for ETA. We just don't know how hard (or easy ) will it be. We don't have the device yet.
Ok guys, I'll try to begin my work without having an actual device but I need your help.
Could someone post me Kernel Info section from CPU Spy?
I'm looking forward to it. Thanks in advance.
This is the right one?

Hello
Many of you know that me and Imagio have been working on porting the Htc one mini software over to Evita.
well in order to do this I had to build a very special kernel with upgraded KGSL and some other stuff that HTC added into the upstream 4.2.2
This is a port of M7 GPE kernel source to One XL
it is based on the 4.2.2 Google Play Edition M7 (HTC One) Kernel source and has updated KGSL/MDP/Sound/bluetooth/gps etc drivers.....
this includes jb1.4 kgsl (for devs)
I will not be including flashable builds until there are roms to support it.. This is for other devs to get started on their projects if htey would like
You can find my code here
https://github.com/zarboz/Evita_UL_422-JB/tree/master
If building things to note:
build with gcc 4.7 or lower (4.8 causes failure to boot for now)
build kgsl mainstream
disable GPMMU for kgsl
enable HTC_FD_MONITOR in config
Things that work:
Everything
There are special care/instructions for wifi for developers.
I am using prima_wlan code from CM10-1
that means all romside firmware in /etc/ the wcnss** files and other wlan folder need to come from cm-10.1 proprietary tree
Enjoy guys hopefully this will spark some development
What this kernel is for: Any 4.2.2 Sense based roms will be able to run or any rom with a 1.4 or lesser KGSL HAL
Whats added:
Prima_wlan built from source
M7 MDP drivers
M7 Sound drivers
M7 GPU drivers
M7 Adreno drivers
Updated Rawchip drivers (must use m7 liboemcamera.so and camera related libs )
i mean its the HTC One kernel with Evita support added
dont tell me you tried to flash that zip
it wont work
its the firmware/modules/zImage that a dev will need to test their rom ports with
Awesome dude. I would to get this running on aosp.

most likely because the RAM requirements on kit kat are very low so a bunch of phones that dont have Jelly bean yet might have it
Strongly doubt that. Galaxy Nexus (which is about the same spec as our Desire S. Albeit, a bit better) will not be receiving the update.
There was a petition for it to receive the update but yet to be approved.
Your first problem there is a stable, properly working kernel. Our phone "barely" has that.

Just read that 'Randomblame' is working on 4.4 in the HTC Desire HD section. To my knowledge this phone has equal specs (cpu (8255) & gpu (adreno 205)) as Desire S. I have good hopes that someone will port this KitKat.

porting can be pretty easy with sister device, but just because they have the same cpu and gpu, they need to have the same resolution and such. i think the two of these devices are a little different
they have also same resolution, only camera is different

it wont work(easily) by just porting..it has to be vendor specific files from CM to make the framework boot..i have compiled my own CM Rom(for Nexus4) before and its much easy to build than port.. i am eagerly waiting for summer for the AOSP project to start..
Even we are waiting for your AOSP based ROM!
The major thing that we are missing for our device is CM...if we get CM then our device will be excellant...

CM can come if someone builds CM from source.
Start from kernel porting is correct way. As two devices are similar, after replacing kernel to the one that runs on your device, it will boot. Without working kernel you cannot debug with logcat.

Less than 2 hours hack Using modified NEXT kernel for T311. The graphics so slow, but I knew the source of problem. LewaOS 5 based on CM 10.1 but NEXT for P31xx will fail to boot it, "/system/framework/framework_ext.jar" and "/system/framework/lewa-framework.jar" BOOTCLASSPATH in init.rc needed. Switched back to CM, had no time to hack it further.

Don't get me wrong. Since currently working on T311 kernel, small changes on kernel boost the graphics performance to the limit
