Contacted O2 and they are estimating the update will be rolling out in a few weeks (2-3). Any thoughts? Also If you Can watch my Moto G videos and suggest me improvements in the youtube comment section that would be great and if you dont mind you can also click on a few adverts
That's probably about right - IIRC the original European KitKat rollout was about 4-5 weeks after it started going out to US models.

Some people have problems, i hope we dont face any, he also said (the O2 Guru) that they are optimising the software. What are your thoughts?

Looking back it was 19th Dec 13 that 4.4.2 was rolled out to US models, 11th Jan 14 for European.
I'm hopeful that Moto are keeping an eye out for the bug reports from the initial 4.4.3 roll-out and will take the opportunity to apply necessary tweaks to later rollouts (otherwise why do a staged rollout?). But who knows - fingers crossed.
Edit to add - updated info from Moto here - https://forums.motorola.com/comment/785885 & https://forums.motorola.com/comment/785935

It is a tiered rollout usually.. So some may start to get it before we do unfortunately, it has to come to our devices. Though no mention of it being released.
Matt
ATT G4 got it, maybe we are the next

Although I'm usually wary of others claiming "inside contact" knowledge, in this case I'll remain optimistic. The T-Mobile variant is overdue for an update. Absolutely nothing has come through yet since I purchased the phone on Oct 30th. I'm stock and no root/locked bootloader. At this point there's a laundry list of issues that need to be fixed including but not limited to YouTube freezing at 1440p playback and fingerprint scanner w/case on. My phone is paid outright and if T-Mobile doesn't push an update by the time the LG G5 specs are confirmed and the phone is released, AND I'm impressed, I'll have no problem selling this phone for it.

I believe the point was to related to the V10 -- articles from several sites reported that Feb 7th would mark the date that LG phones would start to receive Marshmallow. These phones included our V10 as well as the G4. Not all were going to be getting the update starting on that date, but that's the start date per these sites.

I suppose I agree, however being in the software design "Biz," and recognizing that missing Android 6 should not keep people up at night (understatement), it is far more important that LG gets it right, than if they are perceived as late. This is especially true with a phone is as highly customized as the V10. Also, I think that. 5.1.1 on the V10 is quite stable and fast overall. The upgrade promise was within 6 months of release, which would imply May at the latest. I would be OK with that- again, provided it is bug free, stable and fast.

I'm on exynos too....but after what seemed like a big update file, can't notice any obvious changes....any ideas?
Matt.
Took a long time to update and a few reboots, but I notice no difference.
weird?
At least we got the August update in August. We usually get the btu monthly update on the first date of the following month lol
Not sure what updates we're getting with this though
It seems a tad snappier, and the navbar seems more transparent, may just be my imagination.

Anyone else on C782 noticed since we got 9.0 (168) we haven't had anymore updates/security patches in a while, anyone know whats up with that? i feel like our phones have just been abandoned this is first and last time i use Huawei, Google Pixel or Samsung next upgrade for me at least they get monthly patches/fixes even my bros S8 is being security/bug patched each month.
I've noticed it too.
Still on .168
Still on .159 with November security
Get yourself on Huawei forums, under software there's a very large post, join the crowd pressuring them to change their process. Mods have put up "false" updates to try quieten the roar and just made it worse. Infuriating that FF can't work once you're already on pie, don't fancy downgrading and full wipe just for my security patch

They said themselves bi monthly updates for all p m and nova handsets, clearly trying not to get banned from anywhere else and bit off more than they can chew. Any time I've spoken to someone, being able to speak to anyone more senior than first point of contact is impossible (which from experience I'm pretty sure goes against certain rules re: complaints) contemplating a ceo office email with links to all these such posts and their own promises.
Not that it'll make a difference. Just need to vent haha

Three UK
I'm with Three. Still on 159, November security patch. Just been on a live chat with them. Nothing resolved but got a £25 credit.
Still on .168 for me as well, showing 1st December security patch.
Last time I buy Huawei as well, I don't mind not getting full updates but not even getting security updates is ridiculous.

Yeah i just wish they would push them out monthly like samsung does instead of making us wait 3-5 months and by that time the update is worthless.

Bi-monthly would do me fine. In a dream world I'd like 9.1 and camera processing parameters from the P30 Pro (I've read it's a little less heavy on the processing) but I doubt we'll ever see that!
Still 1st Dec 18 security for me, unlocked phone from o2 with Voda sim.
Pathetic, it's almost 5 months out of date.
Love the phone but won't buy another Huawei.

My point being the article was written the say after I said I doubt we'll ever see 9.1.
You're right though, probably still months to wait until we see it.
Seems 3 customers are getting .204?
Nothing on O2, EE and Vodafone.............
Asia Pacific is getting monthly security updates so far. I on April security at the moment.
Just received the September security patch for Moto x4 XT 1900-1 retail version.
Thought I might share the news with the good fellas here.
same here on my XT1900-7, it is just strange that it was automatically installed, without my confirmation
Thought it's October now... Isn't that a month late???

Yeah, you are absolutely right! But unfortunately, that's Motorola's way of delivering update. And I'm not even hopeful to get an Android 10 update.

Late is better than never, which is the case for the vast majority of phones many of which are newer than the X4.
Does anyone know if the FI/AndroidOne version for sept. has be released? Can't find in my usual locations.
Noticed on the Lolinet site that the RETUS releases has "PPWS29.69-40-3-1" uploaded on 10/3. Seems like a newer build just going by the naming scheme?
Just got another OTA, for October 1

I got the update today as well, which came as a surprise. I was wondering the same thing regarding some urgent fix.
Maybe they are trying to appease the masses over not getting Android 10 by providing faster security updates. I feel like they wiggled out of providing the upgrade. Technically speaking from a calendar standpoint, the Android 10 release was within the 2 year OS upgrade path when looking at the release date of the phone. Rant over. Time to look towards custom ROMs.
i just got november, PPWS29.69-36-2. support.motorola.com/us/en/solution/MS145560

Same on the pixel. For the Samsung phones however, I've gotten most of the updates around this time of the month. Only one has been close to the first. U gets theirs before U1, but typically only by a couple days. Ours should come any day now.
