I rooted my G2 via the instructions and download in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928160
I did not flash the hboot.
Phone seemed to work fine after that. But then I downloaded ClockWorkMod Rom Manager and downloaded CM7. When I installed it, my phone comes up to the boot screen, runs for a second, then reboots.... it just keeps rebooting.
Using the factory reset, I can get back into the recovery, so I tried to install CM6.1 from my sd card, but the exact same thing happens (endless boot screen reboots).
What can I do? Thank you for any help.
Fixed.
All I had to do was clear the dalvik cache.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 GT-S6500. Its rooted and have CWM based recovery installed via ODIN-PDA.
It does not have terminal installed. Yesterday I downloaded a software name Quick Boot (root) from google play market and its icon is purple in colour. i downloaded such software because i wanted some apps like that to ease me in booting to other mode. So after installing i tried using it. So i tried the recovery mode button. it asked for SU permission and after i allowed it, it boot into CWM based recovery and i was very happy as i though it was a working app. But now, i restarted the phone millions of time but it just keep booting into the recovery mode again instead of booting back into the samsung android os. :'( i read and tried so called cold-boot but no hope, tried wipe factory data and wipe cache and wiped delvik cache from the recovery but still no hope. anyone can please help me? :''''''(
I installed cyanogenmod a few days ago and it was working fine. I installed a font changing app, and it needed to reboot to work. When it tried to reboot, it got stuck on the cyanogenmod boot screen. I booted to recovery and did a factory reset, wiped dalvin cache to no avail. I found a stock Rom for my phone, but Odin doesn't seem to see it when I go into downloading mode. Am I doing something wrong? What should I do next?
Just reflash CM.
I have rooted my phone and installed CM 12.1. Yesterday I backed up my data using twrp and then tried to reboot it but it didn't. It just shows up the boot image and then turns off and then shows up the same. I tried to wipe data using twrp and install a fresh rom and but now i can't access twrp. On entering twrp, it shows just the image to twrp and then suddenly the phone tries to reboot.
I also tried to install CWM recovery and then tried to wipe data but it just stuck in wiping data for a long time.
Please help...:crying::crying:
