I have just purchased Milagrow TabTop 7.4 (MGPT04). It runs on Android 4.0. It supports 3G USB Dongles. But whenever I put in my D-Link dongle, it displays message 'Damaged SD card..'.
So, how to make this dongle work ?
Also, I have Reliance Net Connect Plus Dongle. After connecting it, no message is displayed.
So, will somebody help me to configure these dongles to work with my tablet ?
Airtel E1731 experience in Milagrow tabtop 7.4
I tried to use airtel dongle E1731 in my milagrow tablet. It is getting notification such as roaming, airtel signal icon in task bar. But i'm not getting internet connection activation or msg. Green LED is blinking not glowing continuous. How to resolve this issue?
For all there tablets you need a unlocked huawei dongle with mobile partner software installed in it...
Find such a wcdma dongle..
The benefits of such dongle is you no need to set apn each time you change sim it automatically detects the apn...
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
The stock ROM (Lollypop but older version too) limit 5G WiFi channels to 36-48 or 149-165, or something like that, basically all US non DFS channels.
I figured how to connect the Shield Tablet to DFS channels.
It depends on the builtin WiFI module, which can be either Broadcom or Marvel.
My Shield Tabled came with Broadcom 4324 and by changing ccode inside the /system/etc/nvram_43241.txt (for other WiFI chips other nvram file applies) from whatever to ccode=ALL I am able to connect to mid band 5G channels.
BUT, for channels above 48, once connected to WiFi the controller cannot be connected anymore.
I need somebody who can help troubleshoot the controller issues with DFS channels on 5Ghz networks.
I can provide logs and whatever else might be needed.
Hello.
I own a Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10F with stock 5.0 lollipop and root access.
I'm trying to use 3G on my tablet. It does not have a mobile module nor does have any kernel modules for it.
My first idea was to simply buy a 3G dongle and plug it in. People said it will work automatically. Unfortunately, my dongle is Huawei E1752 and it doesn't.
The only way I get 3G to connect is using PPP Widget 2. But no apps detect the Internet connection anyway. The only way I found is to have fake wifi. But it requires XPosed framework, which is not available for my tablet.
So I tried sharing 3G from my Symbian phone. JoikuSpot works fine, but it turns out Android doesn't work with ad-hoc networks :/
Every solution I found relies on having kernel modules loaded through a custom ROM. Unfortunately, there are no ROMs that I can find for my tablet.
I'm asking for help finding a solution to get mobile Internet on this tablet.
Hi all,
can anyone tell me if the Mi 10 Ultra is capable to make an existing wifi available to other devices? I mean that I connect the Mi 10 Ultra to an existing wifi and then set up a hotspot, then I see two wifi icons in the bar at the top. Does the smartphone then work like a kind of wifi repeater or does it use mobile data via the SIM card? Thanks!
cheers, jennix
Hi everyone,
I've bought an Oppo A54 5G on the cheap here, in France, for the sole purpose of using it as a mobile hotspot, since it has 5G connectivity on both SIM cards. The phone works flawlessly, but I have an issue with one of my laptops (an Asus VivoBook X515FAC_X515FA) that will only connect in 2.4GHz mode.
I'd like to know if someone knows a way, or a third-party app, that would let me create two profiles for the mobile hotspot, one in 2.4GHz and one in 5GHz, each with its separate SSID. I think my Asus laptop might be confused when I switch from 2.4GHz to 5GHz in the hotspot settings, since both bands bear the same name (SSID).
The mobile hotspot menu in Settings is very basic, and though I can change the SSID name, I can't figure out how to create two different ones.
