I'm looking to buy a new phone sometime in the near future, but thought I would get some feedback from you all here. I have a HTC Droid Eris now which I hate, and been having problems with flashing ROMS and a bunch of other things. Anyways, to the point.
I'm looking at a few different one's right now.
1) Thunderbolt
2)Motorola Droid Bionic
3)Samsung Galaxy S2
?) LG Revolution
Just would like feedback from you all please.
Thanks for all your time and comments.
By far galaxy s 2 is the all around best. What provider?

It will be Verizon.
Yeah, the gsII blows the other phones away. If money isn't much of an issue and you can wait a couple (?) months, then definitely go for the gsII.
Yup. Word around the blogsphere is that US will be getting 1.4 ghz gs2's. Bionic might be nice if it comes out soon. Revolution isn't so great. And thunderbolt has awful battery life.

If u want to try to stay with HTC, then the Sensation rocks big time!
Phone
Thanks all. I think I can wait a few months and maybe thrown the cash out, maybe an work a deal for a new 2 year agreement for the G S2. Anyone have an idea as to when it's coming out and the $$$?
If your decision are stuck with Verizon on caming July new plan hhmmm. LG revolution is best

You think so? i don't have battery issues with my bolt as long as I plug it in on my way to work, while at the office, on my way home, overnight.....
If I don't go for the galaxy s2, which would be the next best phone to get with verizon?
Samsung's great -- as long as you don't have to use KIES (which is only good for firmware updates IMO -- at least, that's the only thing I use it for); I'm happy with every Samsung device I own (smartphone, tablet, television, a few other things)
Gonna be several HOT new phones by years endl.
I keep reading about several new phones due this year. Most promise to beat anything we have now. I love my Eris running GSB 3.6. Only thing slow about it is loading web pages, other than that it is a great little phone.
I'm still up in the air on which phone to get if any suggestions after the Samsung G2
Hey guys & gls
I'm Sprint premium customer. now time to change my EVO 4g which one is best from EVO 3D or Motorola photon ?
I know a both phones have dual core . Please I need help to decided
Thank you in advance

if you want to pay get the galaxy s2
Samsung galaxy s2 is great.
i would go for s2 on phone with dual core processor or thunderbolt if you live in 4g zone
++ Samsung Galaxy S2 ... it's lovely.
So far I'm using Galaxy S, and I'm loving this machine, if I had money, I've defenitivly buy SGS2.
I think it will between the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Motorola Droid Bionic, but need to get better reviews and comparisons when they both are out.
I'm looking to replace my Galaxy S2 (runs way too warm for my taste, battery is not that good, 99% sure I got a faulty battery, but that's not the point) and I have come across these options:
Samsung Galaxy Note
HTC One X
LG Optimus 4x HD
...or another?

My fiancee bought a white gnote yesterday and it's a beautiful phone. Great design, very very slim and surprisingly light. I haven't gotten much chance to play with it and I won't in the next month - the missus is more of a geek than I am sometimes, but it feels very smooth, very fast and responsive.
However, it is ridiculously large IMHO, and I have pretty big hands. It's uncomfortable to hold and I'd constantly be scared ****tles of dropping it. It feels more like a tablet than a phone. That is my only complaint and the reason I will get a gnexus (or some other nexus device, no larger than 4.7") when it's time to upgrade.
Galaxy S2
Galaxy Ace 2
If the size isnt a turn off for you... the Note is the way to go. Im hoping it comes to Sprint... then Ill gladly flip my white e4gt for it.
Galaxy note..

i think you should wait for the LG 4X HD
reason-
as with the transformer prime this also uses the tegra 3 chipset, sure it's quad-core CPU is good for games and apps that will utilize it...but when you are chilling to some music the 5th core kicks in and the power usage drops meaning more battery life...the so called companion core will handle everyday tasks so you need to worry about battery when idling...pardon my ignorance i don't know about how oneX utilize it's resources though HTC have switched cpu manufacturers and might have some complications hopefully nothing major...i'm just saying what i heard on a podcast
Samsung Galaxy Note + 1
Galaxy Note. *like*
Battery life On quad for phones is gonna be amazing because there more energy efficient than dual core phones, much more.
The stats on the Lg 4x and htc one x are identicle apart from the fact that the Lg will have a 10% longer battery life with its 2150mah battery .
I would go with lg 4x because i don't like the look of the HTC and also LG are gonna release kernel sources etc so unlocked BL ftw

LOL you are not up2date.
The s3 won't be shown on 22.3.
And a September or august release is more likely according to internal informations.

I really like my Epic 4G Touch. This is my first Android phone tbh, but it does absolutely everything that I want to do with it.
im now thinking about buying the note from att but i heard that they removed NFC. is that true? is there a way around that (software-wise)
Also is the battery better than the GSII? does it run as warm?

Hi guys,
I have a question i didn't know where to post this concedering its not for a particular device or platform so i posted it here any way here is my question i have a HTC EVO 3D and i want to upgrade, why do i want to upgrade 2 reasons number one screen size its too small i had a GALAXY Note so when i went back to the EVO its small and the second one is the Processor its fast but not too fast anyway i was planning on buying the GALAX S III international version when it comes out but after i saw the price i was surprised its 800$ for the 16 GB so im stuck with the following and i need an advice (of course if by the time the S III comes out the price drops to around 600-650 i'll buy it )
Here are the phones im thinking of (and if u have other phones please tell me)
1- HTC One X international version
2-HTC Titan II
3-GALAXY Note
Please help thank you.

I'd go for the Note. Cheaper and overall better. Sure the One X is quadcore, but Tegra kinda sucks so the extra buck you have to add isn't really worth it. Titan is quite meh.
Sent from my Lumia 800 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Go for the One X , the screen is better the CPU is very fast and the GPU with custom roms increase the phones overall performance. I would only recommand the GALAXY Note if you email a lot because it feels like the note is designed for the business person in mind.
I don't know what kind of prices you got there guys but here the Note is about 200€ cheaper than the One X, which isn't that much better, not like 200€-better for sure IMHO. It actually is inferior for some aspects, like screen size (and pentile ain't bad on a 5.3"), removable battery, sd slot, and that pen thing that is mostly a gimmick but oh well. Once it gets even cheaper I'll definitely pull the trigger on one of those. I used one for a day last week, coupled with an extended battery and a Rii Keyboard it proved to be a very nice and portable mini tablet, the tablet mode you get on AOSP ROMs is also pretty sick. Not a great fan of those new Htc phones with locked bootloaders and all that jazz. ICS sources for the Note have just been released by the way, even better ROMs will come very soon, even tho AOKPs are already 99% hack free and rock solid.
Sent from my Lumia 800 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Use a website like phonescoop.com to compare them side-by-side. See exactly what each specs are and which one has the specs you really care about. That would be of great help.

HTC Sence UI beats Note in 100 ways
Why not the nexus. Its much cheaper than the s3 and its a great phone. Still one of the best and probably the best price/goodness ratio.
galaxy note is the best
i have one and it's greate
I like the GALAXY Nexus cause of its display and stock ICS but i use SD Card so i need a phone with an option to expaned my memory but i kept the HTC One X cause of its Quad Core Processor

I dont know the price is kinda of an issue but and the screen size (im a fan of the 5"screens) its of course better in preformance no doubt but im from the few fans of the Touchwiz UI its more simple than the Sense UIor maybe cause im used to it i had 3 devices with TouchWiz so i find it easier but still the HTC One X stunning camera, preformance and display is a plus

Ok but the One X have a worst battery than the EVO 3D....
Galaxy Note or Galaxy S2.. with additional batteries
if easy to hold better take s2 if you want better take galaxy note or tab
I dont know but HTC devices tend to have bad battery life for some reason LOL

Galaxy Note very big I think.. You can't touch all screen by one hand, sometimes I you'll need that.. S2 The Best!
HTC good but not good enough
It's a year in, and I'm still really enjoying my Samsung infuse. true 4g would be nice, but the devs are working on Miui ICS and it looks awesome
i used all of them. my advice is : GALAXY Note is a good one if you don't mind the big size. then chose GALAXY S2 !

4g is good.. very good.. great, but in some places there is no 4g unfortunately only 3g or worst.
I'd like my S2 to have 4g, but it's not.. Maybe you'd better wait for S3?
I dont mind the big screen actually i want something bigger than 4.3" i dont know why many people think its too big im really into big devices but not over 5.3" cause that would be really inconvienent for a mobile phone thats why i kept in mind choices like the HTC Titan 1/2 cause i really like the Metro UI and WP is kinda between the line of simplicity and costumizations still android is the best im freaking confused guys tell me more about ur experiance with the devices ur advising thanks

My infuse has gotten steadily less stable and functional since the day I got it, and I know it's the device because I have several other android devices that are months or years old and still work like new, even in some cases with the stock ROM still.
So I'm wondering if I should get the SGS III now (AT&T), wait for the note II later this month ($100 more than the SGS III) or TRY to survive until the SGS IV?
Galaxy S III will be 100 this Sunday at best buy. If that inclines the buy. Plus dev support is good I hear for the gs3. Trinity Kernel is amazing and dev supports the gs3. Plus the note 2 is gigantic Imo
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
I like the giantness of the note II but I can't really say what I'd use the processing power for. All I really do with my phone is doing things that involve reading (reddit, XDA, texting, sexting(lol jk), etc) and listening to music and watching movies sometimes. I'm not much of a gamer or multi tasker.
I might have to go to best buy tomorrow.
What do we think about the One X, appearance aside? It's quad core, has LCD (both + and -), and it has nicer out-of-the-box software. Just looking at all my options.
My wife and I have gone through a bunch of HTC phones in the past. Personally I don't like the quality. Talking to the at&t guy at the store he says they got better in that way. I'm still hesitant to go with them.

Again I can't comment on newer HTC, but my wife who uses a phone as a phone went through 3 of the original my touches before tmo swapped it with a moto clique. Then went with the my touch 4g and went through 2 of those before we parted ways. I had the hd2 and swapped it 4 times before I found xda and put android on it. Not sure but having to wipe the original operating system and replace it with one that ran off the microsd card to keep it stable enough to use isn't my idea of quality.
And issues weren't nit picky things. Constant crashes, reboots, phone and texting not working, factory resets just to use them.
Samsung us tons better in my eyes.

So with taxes I'm looking to spend about $350 on a phone with no contact. I WAS thinking the nexus 4 but people on craigslist are retarded asking $500+ because people bought out the play store with the intentions of reselling and ripping people off. So other than that I was thinking of getting an s3 or a note 1, possibly a one x.
My questions are, which carrier version, and which one should I get. I want one that I could use on family mobile with better speeds, maybe simple mobile or something. I'm into rooting and roms and overall best specs out there. So which phone should I get in that price range, and which carrier version? Processor and ppi as well as camera is most important to me.

Personally, the Note is a little on the large side for a phone, however, some people like it. Would suggest that you get some extended hands on time with it out before buying. S3 has good feedback except for the build materials (i.e. drop and chip) and is roughly the form factor that I would be comfortable with and there is quite a bit of ROM development for it. A friend uses a Note 1 and swears by it, connects it up as a laptop at home with keyboard, mouse and monitor (his portable office). Haven't had a chance to test out the OneX but what I have read on the forums are that it has good battery life, solid performance and since it is basically stock, updates are quick. Just got WP8 as a xmas gift, from an SGS2. Don't recommend it, until they fix some pretty fundamental missing features but the camera is by far the best I have seen so far.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Samsung phones. Have a GS2 skyrocket and it's an awesome phone. ROM support is strong, and definitely affordable on your budget.
i would buy the htc one x+. i really like the htc os. a few years ago i bought the htc desire hd and i've never regretted it. so why not switching to another phone by htc
HTC One X looks very cute. But I heard about screen problems. I am most interested in Nexus 4, however it's not available in my country, but I would recommend it. I love that Nexus 4 has stock Android.
HTC one xl owner here....absolutely no screen problems. Gorgeous screen, great ROMs with great devs, great camera and battery life and you will find some at a very nice price. Only downside is storage and no external SD slot.
Funny u mention screen problems as I've heard the nexus 4 has some.
This phone is really good, not cheaply build like the s3 and personally I feel its better (hence why I chose it over the s3)
Oh and BTW our phones are pretty much unbrickable, flashing ROMs is a breeze and rooting can be done with a downloadable script. And they do t suffer from gs3 problems which they seem to be having plenty of.

Well, at the time of release, that was the feeling wasn't it . A 18% (I think off hand) increase in screen with a 25% increase in battery. So yea, it is basically an S2. 0.2GHz more and most everything else is the same.
I think you should go with all new Galaxy Note II has a 5.5-inch HD Super Amoled touchscreen display that supports 1280x720 pixel resolution natively which runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
