Hello.
I got mini tablet, unknown brand, the chip is rk2928, I flashed a custom rom but now I the touch screen won't work.
I found some other roms but I have to flash them through recovery, the problem is, for some reason I can't choose zip from sdcard or external card.
What can I do?
I can use adb commands through CMD on the device, But nothing helped so far.
Please help me!

Hi all,
I was wondering if there was a image up on the net for my Surface and if so a guide to get it back to factory status, i lost the recovery partition recently and did a install of 8.1 pro from a USB for other sources.
Thanks

I should be getting my hands on a Surface 2 at some point today, plan was to compare it to the original RT I have sat in the drawer and then make a recovery to add to my FTP server with the rest of the recoveries I have...

He said Surface 2 not Pro as in your title. Wouldn't work if you do have the pro instead of the RT version.

No matter what I try to do, I can't seem to get my Nexus 4 to download things remotely from the install button on the Play Store website. It does it fine for the Nexus 7, but not for my phone.
I choose my phone, click install and the button changes to installed, but nothing happens on my phone. What could be causing this?

I have the latest Cyanogenmod. It has never been a problem before now with any other versions. It seems as if the Play Store knows the device exists since it is in the list when I choose to install something. The phone also receives push notifications from PushBullet and Google Voice.

Hey guys.
I made a small batch file that will flash the 2nd Bootloader and TWRP recovery to the 2012 Kindle Fire HD 7".
I also included adb and fastboot executables so that it can be used without Android SDK.
But I need someone to have a look at this thing to make sure that it works. I don't want to brick anyone's device.
Please PM me if you want to test it.
Thanks.

Everything installed well, what i did not try was the backup option because im not running stock.
I have tried(successfully)

Option 3
Option 4
Awesome tool and im sure it has taken a while to do it! so you have a Go from me. maybe someone with stock can try Option 2, I was looking at the tool in notepad++ and all seems to be correct so i don't think there would be a problem doing the backup.! :good:

I have ported roms in the past to Kindle Fire HD from the Nexus tabs. It's way easier to port than to build a rom from scratch. The tricky part is finding the easiest roms to work with.
Well I can't do either.
Wouldn't we want to get something on here other than stock?
I'll take a port! Lol

Well I would think that you would need a working custom recovery with external SD card support first. Though the big feature I am looking forward to is a kernel that supports Roehsoft Ram Expander (swap) which while it works fine on my S3 does not work at all on the Tab 4 7.0.

There is a fully working recovery with SDcard read/write support as mentioned in THIS post.
What I did was downloaded the TWRP 2.8.0.1 .img for t230 then flashed it over the older non-working TWRP using #Rashr. It works for me on SM-T230NU and wipe works. Dalvik/Cache, everything.

I resstored the device in odin to the latest factory firmware then flashed the twrp in odin, rebooted directly to recovery and flashed supersu. Rebooted to system, set up all my stuff and flashed the new twrp over the old twrp using rashr. I had to reboot once to set up rashr before i could flash but, it all worked perfectly for me

Yes I have it, and I rooted it using this description:
