I use quick boot, has a hotboot function.

I found the app I was using before. It only restarts the System UI and does not do a Soft Reboot.

App that manages startup items on boot

I am looking for an app that stops whatever apps from loading when I reboot. Autokiller still don't seen to satisfy the limits I set, and I don't need every app I have installed to load on boot. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

+1 for Startup Manager. Only thing I don't like about SM, is that it starts up on boot too. I looked at the commands it was running as SU though, and it made me think that I could just uninstall it and the changes it made would stick. So I just did that

HTC Sense 3.0 Lock Screen!

HTC Sense 3.0 Lock-screen on any ROM.
Tested and working on Gingerbread.
Cheers to this guy.

Install Instructions:
Download Sideload Wonder Machine (See bottom of post)
Connect phone to PC (Charge Only with debug on)
Download the .apk here.
Choose the .apk in SWM
Click "Update Existing Application"
Click Install.
Done!
Works on RCMix 5.9.7 after reboot.
i'm getting an error in SWM:
INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_INCONSISTENT_CERTIFICATES
edit: nvm i just deleted htclockscreen.apk in system/app and then installed using swm (did not check upgrade existing app) and then reboot and it works great! pretty cool.

Yes. delete the htclockscreen.apk with RE then just use the XDA app and download, then install.

You do not. The lockscreen itself does feel a little choppy to me.
I'm getting a "Device not found" error. When I try and delete it through RE, it won't change the permissions. It says the system file is read-only. I have tried mounting the R/W, but it doesn't change when i tap it. I dunno
EDIT: Deleted the old lockscreen with TB, and installed the apk. Like above poster, it seems laggy at times. It's not as smooth as I've seen in some other videos, but definitely cool enough to use. Thanks
Is it just the simple lock screen or can you select between the different types, ie weather??

Got it to work. If you use RE, go to system/app, delete HtcLockScreen.apk (backup first), then place the new HtcLockScreen.apk and then install it from this location. Just placing the apk file or installing from other location didn't help.
Reboot and you should see the screen.

I tried to move it to the system/app folder and something went wrong, now my warm ROM has the stock android lockscreen... LOL

I was able to get it to work. Using root explorer make the system/app directory writable, delete the htclockscreen.apk. I rebooted, then took the downloaded new lockscreen and moved it to the system/app folder and then installed it from there. Rebooted again and had the new lockscreen.

what exactly is going on with it? is it force closing? not able to send anything? i know when i didnt clear the data it would just keep force closing on me.
i just attached another one of the files. try renaming this one to Message+CRC_1 and following the directions again. maybe a cache wipe?
the file in the first post was pulled straight from my system/apps folder and is working great on my side. maybe this one will work for you.
EDIT: the name of the apk implies that you are replacing the stock sense messaging app. so if the name of your messaging app differs, try renaming the file to that of your stock messaging app.
So it worked for you? Awesome!
Running on stock 1.85 rooted. Working splendidly.
Thanks!

again, i take no credit with making the app. i simply figured out how to get it on our phones. your thanks is appreciated!
It works but I can't send pics :-(
Awesome it works well. The quick button doesn't work with themes, but that's fine its worth having it unthemed for the time being. Thanks a lot! Much more convenient than having to click the settings button.

really? are you using the one in the first post? ive been using it and have no issues at all. earlier ones i was messing with would let me attach the photo but when i would go to send it would just disappear. I havent had that happen with this one. maybe try and wipe the dalvik cache?
Any word if this works with Samsung Galaxy S III? I have tried several apps, and while I can get all of them to work initially, they all break after just a few txts. Also, how do you clear data in apps manager? 4.0.4 doesn't seem to have that option, on my Verizon variant anyway.
Works great for me on CleanRom 4.1 Dev Edition. Followed instructions exactly as posted. Emoji and MMS both work flawlessly. I had been waiting to get this working, but never thought about checking this forum.

If you are using a ROM that is ODEX'd you need to rename the messaging odex file as well if delete it. Most sense ROMs right now are so double check. I've used this on every ROM I've flashed and it works flawlessly.

I Tried The Wipe & Tried Renaming But I'm StIll Having The Disappearing Picture Issue

[Discontinued][APP][MOD][CM9]Phonemod for cm9 PICO v2.1

Link to website here.
Note: This might work for other devices. Test at your own risk.
Does not work on evervolv. Certain bugs are experienced.
Let me begin by saying how popular the HTC Explorer (codename Pico) is. Almost anyone who wants a budget smartphone has one. Its simply the best phone out there in the price range. Even the hardware specs aren't that bad. It is very much capable of running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, although unofficially an unofficially ported version of Cyanogenmod 9.1.
Cyanogenmod 9.1 on an mdpi device such as the Explorer poses some problems/bugs caused due to scaling down of the graphics. One such problem is the caller id screen where by default, it is displayed as shown below in the attachments.
As you can see the caller picture is cut off by half and looks really ugly. I have developed a fix for this and now the caller id will display the full contact picture as shown in the picture.
v2.1 changelog (see attached image)
Added Enable status bar option during calls (Useful to check messages or other notifications during call).
Added Disable lights out option (Does not turn off light when near proximity sensor).
Added Exit to home on end call option (Disable going to call log after every call).
Download:
v1 Mediafire link.
v2.1 Mediafire link.
Installation instructions:
Download the zip file above.
Copy it to a folder on your SD card.
Reboot into recovery.
Toggle signature verification off if necessary.
Choose the option install zip from recovery.
Browse to the zip you downloaded and select install.
Reboot.
Manual installation:
Using a root file explorer delete Phone.apk in /system/app directory
Extract contents of the zip file you downloaded and find the Phone.apk file (modded).
Paste in /system/app
Set permissions as -rw -r -r
Reboot.
Development discontinued. But mod still works.
Will this work on Evervolv ICS ROM for the explorer?
I am on cm9 with ungaze script. My system part ion is showing only 40kb as free. I tried through recovery, which ended with no signal.
Unable to paste modded Apk due to low memory. Any other way to get this

Well, you can try the following.
1. Try flashing the v2.1 zip. Updated in first post.
or
2. Make sure there is no unwanted apps in system other than cm9 ones. then try both flash and manual. In manual, once deleted the Phone.apk, restart and then paste the new phone.apk
or
3. Make the latest lirakoa install in this order. wipe everything (factory reset), go to mounts and storage and format /boot and /system, install lirakoa zip, install gapps, install google now (i usually use it but its ur choice), install v2.1 Phonemod, restart. Then you can install ungaze or int2ext (I prefer s2e as its safe) and then restore form titanium backup all your user apps.
Just flashed and it works great! However, I get a FC on selecting "Dialpad Settings", otherwise its perfect. Im running Evervolv ICS ROM.

I don't know if it is the ROM issue or phone issue. I use ifont app to change my fonts. You need root to use this though.
