I've modded the hboot to remove the red lettering that appears after flashing a custom recovery and/or boot.img,
This is a placeholder I'll upload tomorrow for my fellow frenzy flashers!
SEE ATTACHMENT BELOW!
place the "0P6BIMG_M8_VZW_XXXX.zip" into your fastboot directory and open a command prompt and send these commands to flash without microSD card.
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip 0P6BIMG_M8_VZW_XXXX.zip
fastboot reboot
OR, THIS WAY
place the "0P6BIMG_M8_VZW_XXXX.zip" onto the root of your EXTERNAL microSD card, meaning not in a folder.
remove the " _M8_VZW_XXXX. " from the name of the zip. it should look like this.....
0P6BIMG.zip
then boot into bootloader.
press the volume+ rocker to accept, then power to reboot
victory!
enjoy
be sure to either rename, move into a folder, or delete the zip or the bootloader will find and it and try to reflash it every time you boot into hboot mode.
This is the android-info.txt inside the zip. if it fails to flash open and modify it to match your ROM's "mainver". You can get this by opening android terminal emulator and typing
getprop ro.aa.romver
then add the line into the txt file.

I found this on a site, it seems to load up like its a real rom, if you run the .exe but when trying to open the .exe with winrar it errors out.
But it is a Bravo/Desire ROM, maybe someone in here can find some use for it.

Several of us have already put this ROM on our UK T-mobile version of the phone.
It is a later version of the ROM than that supplied and also gets rid of the T-mobile branding.
NOTE: All the branding including the initial boot screen. The only oddity is that a "shortcut" to Virgin Mobile appears on the home screen.
You need to make a "goldcard" to install it though.
None of this is going to help with rooting the phone. I leave that to the experts!
I will keep my eye out for any new ROMs floating around.
If anyone finds something that's noteworthy let me know and I will be happy to host the file

Have you found any differences between the "Generic" and the shipped "T-mobile ROM".
The only difference I have seen, apart from the branding, is that it contains APNs for all the UK networks.
It's been rock solid since I loaded it but then the T-mobile version may be also. The main reason for loading it is that any updates always come from HTC first.
Could someone, who owns a Desire running this rom, please boot to fastboot and issue the "fastboot oem h" command, and then copy&paste the result to us? It should output the list of allowed commands.

Hi guys, if you are S-Off and you want to change your splash screen, you can do this over your hboot.
Credits:
- to jmztaylor and Facepalm crew for getting S-Off and for his tips
- to TrueBlue_Drew for his ready splash.img's
- the community where it did a lot of research
Notice:
I tested this myself on a european non-lte phone and it works. But as always bricks can happen and i am not responsible if your phone is dead afterwards.
Don't do this, if you are not experienced enough!
Requirements:
- A S-Off HTC One SV (tested on an Android ICS device).
- You need a splash.img, i took it from here (the htc_green one from second post). All credits to the author!
- Then you need a android-info.txt from attachment
- Or if you are experienced enough you can create your own picture with the tool from here.
How to do:
1.) If you take one of the ready ones linked above, download it and remove the .zip from the name of the file and rename it to splash1.img (for example: before it's called HTC_Green.img.zip, after renamed splash1.img). You now have already a working img file.
2.) Download the android-info.txt that fits for your device from attachment
- k2uandroid-info.txt for a device without LTE
- k2ulandroid-info.txt for a device with LTE
Rename it to android-info.txt
3.) Put the splash1.img and the android-info.txt together in a zip file a rename the zip to PL80IMG.zip
If you have a LTE device, please look before into bootloader if the filename is the same. The bootloader is searching for a flashable zip straight after starting, so you must be quick looking at your phone
4.) Copy the PL80IMG.zip file to your sd card
5.) Boot into bootloader
6.) In bootloader the file would be recognised and you must confirm to flash it with vol + button on the side of the phone
7.) After few seconds the file is flashed and confirming the reboot with on/off button you should see your new splash screen.
If you created your own img, proceed with step 2.)
Have fun!

Yes, but if you aren't comfortable with it then put the splash file in a zip (stored, not compressed) along with your android-info.txt file and place it on the root of your ext_sd card then boot in to the bootloader. Follow the on screen instructions.

Yes, open up the text file and where it says main version you will confirm that it matches what your device says. It always has to stay up to date with your device. So if you ever receive another update, make sure to check it (just in case).

when u type: adb shell getprop "ro.cid"

in build.prop you can change to whatever you want.
the only way to make sure it's only throw fastboot.

SuperCID changes your Carrier ID so that you can flash any ROM using ANY RUU. For example, when the Google Edition stock HTC One is released in the Google store, it will cost $600+. When the RUU for it is released, you'll be able to use the RUU to turn your HTC One into a completely stock Google Edition One.

Careful with that, don't wander around flashing RUUs, doing so might also harm your device. Better to read into the topic of the RUU you are interested in carefully.

With no sd card or PC you are out of luck. Ruu require either a PC or ext sd. You could one by one locate all of the ota zip files but that too could be difficult to do and your phone might not read the files from internal storage.

The problem is that based on your hardware and network requirements I can't even suggest one for you. I have no idea what software/firmware will play nice on your Indian carrier. Whoever you purchased the phone from already replaced then Verizon firmware/os with something that would work on your carrier....if I were you I would ask them.

I have a Verizon unlocked m8. I have T-Mobile service and no way to get a Verizon SIM to update the firmware. I need to update it to the latest lollipop build. I do not want to do the work to root/install custom recovery/etc. Heard something about a image you flash using stock recovery. I do not have a sdcard or a computer. I'm really want to update my phone. Thanks in advance

You can use HTC Sync Manager to update your phone to the latest version (android marshmallow). Just install sync manager and connect your phone. It'll show a prompt to upgrade. I'd recommend doing a backup, but I saw that it left the apps and storage untouched.

I don't know VodafoneNL. You can not login to your google account?
No, cannot log in. Maybe because i have no unlocked device.

If you have wifi connected or mobile data, i think you can login very easy. You must enter same google accout with your previous rom.

I had no problem with wifi, only with google server. I removed my devices from my account and tried again but that didn't help much.
Here's my getvar:
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_himauhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) imei:
(bootloader) version-main: 3.35.161.12
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-baseband: 01.01_U11440792_96.00.51201G_F
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 0PJA10000
(bootloader) cid: VODAPE17
So you think it can be installed on this device?

You can try super CID? Some information for you: My M9 Sprint s-off, unlocked bootloader, unlocked sim and super-cid.
To be honest i do not have enough confidence to change to super CID. It could bring me a lot of other problems if something goes wrong. Maybe later..
