Hi,
I've recently purchased the above however it doesn't seem to support a usb dongle. Is there additional software to support or modify the settings, plus I can't download apps from the android market or the apps crash everytime I try to install . I heard that a firmware upgrade is available but not sure where to get this from.
Any advice would be useful

Hello folks,
I am fairly new to the Android OS so please be gentle
I took the plunge and finally got a smart TV from Haier which came with the 2.3.4 Android system. All is fine an cherry in 2.3.4 town as of now (apart from its horribly looking user interface design). But was wondering if i could install the 4.0 update ?
Isnt the android system like any other where you have one default version of the OS that comes from google and then there are variants from the open-source community ? If so then which is the best stable version and where can i find it.
Installation of the 2.3.4 OS is on an MMC that i copied from the technicians that came home to fix the TV so i am fine with a backup and the procedure for the install from an MMC. But i assume that if i download the OS from the internet then the procedure will be a bit different ?
I'll update more of the details (Kernel version etc) when i get home. All this because the manufacture - Haier - does not provide updates online or on its website or anywhere on the web. Appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance.
Gaj

If you have the latest firmware to upgrade , please share it with me or else please share the OS back up what you have as I don't even have it
please help me
Regards

I have a zte open c from eBay , U.S. model. It shipped with stock comebuy ffos 1.3 , I didn't like the ffos software so I updated to the comebuy kitkat rom which disappointedly did not have any Google services installed for whatever reason still baffles me. I tried for weeks to figure this thing out, not being experienced in programming does not help. I noticed the android kitkat ran much smother on the device, however without the Google apps it seemed quite useless to me so I went back to the ffos rom, the apps from market place in comparison to the android apps are like going from an xbox 360 to a sega genesis, android being the (xbox 360) of course. A few days ago I came across the zte upgrade tool and updated with the ffos us eBay rom with root. Now I cannot update OTA from phone nor can I update back to kitkat version nor any others, I get signature failed errors. I am not a programmer so if some one can explain how to fix this with detailed steps I would really appreciate it.
Hi,
Here is a thread you could ask for help in,
> Firefox OS > Firefox OS General > AOSP 4.4.2 for the ZTE Open C
Good luck!
I went through a site which says that we can install iOS 8 on Android devices. Is it even possible???
It is my first post : iosonandroid/com (replace / by . )
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. No, you can't put iOS on an Android phone. iOS is made for specific hardware which is much different than an Android phone. That web site looks pretty sketchy too.
Hello,
first time poster here. I still use an old HTC One S C2 phone with the S3 processor. Currently I am running 4.1.1 on it. It was the only version offered to me by the update system.
On a whim I decided to google for "HTC one s c2 lineageos" hoping to find a more up to date operating system. I stumbled on a video (youtube dot com/watch?v=hgcdJkGM4cY) which is supposedly showing Android 7.1.1 on my phone.
In the video description it says this tool (apkplanet dot net/app/download-autoroot-tools-apk/) can update my phone to 7.1.1. However when I use a bit.ly link expander website the link in the video description is not pointing to apkplanet.net but to some other website which sounds a bit shady, so I wont post it here.
My questions are: Has anybody here used autoroot tools on this phone and will it be able to put 7.1.1 on my phone?
and secondly, what is the most up to date Android I could put on this phone?
Thank you and kind regards,
Fritz.
