I noticed on a system dump that was ported for the dna that there is an fm radio app. But I didn't notice one on the Verizon M8 variant. Is this on the international variant? Besides the apk, would anything else be needed to get it to work?

U WOT M8?
I believe I saw some fm radio stuff in some system folders. I would think just the apk would be needed. Maybe I'll try it later tonight. Btw glad to see you over here. Will we be blessed with your awesome RIT theme in the future?

Nope. Currently u r sol until someone cracks that hboot. Did u just get it? Find a reason to get a replacement, and make sure if u go in to get the replacement, dont let the rep hit that update. Just tell them.......please dont accept the update if one comes up. Good luck bro.

will that radio work with cm10 ? i'm rooted and bootloader unlocked.. also if it does work can you please provide me a reliable link. thanks a lot
The Rom will but I dont think the ril will. Which is unfortunate, as the ril is what fixed my WiFi. There is a link in the developers section for radios.

I'm using CleanROM V. The 2.20 ril was posted a couple of pages back in that thread. Less than ten. I quoted it in there.
It could also be that your router isn't configured correctly. Mine wasn't at first.

I don't understand why that matters... but it's up to you.
You'll have to wait for someone that knows about all that. I'm currently trying to teach myself, and I'm not willing to give you any false advice.

What are you using to edit the ro.product.model?
Hi,
You don't change it to Evita. THAT'S the HTC One XL codename.
Instead, you change it to Endevoru. That's HTC One S.
There are also more factors, like a product_name or something similar.
Good luck!

Check http://get.cm/ for evita and endeavor and don't click anything. Move cursor over the name and it'll tell you the real phone name. Evita=One XL, Endeavoru=One X.

I thought you said Endevoru was One S a post ago?
But wow thanks you have totally cleared up the OP's old redundant request about how to edit the build.prop to change the cosmetic name.
You have also reeducated the 350million people in USA and Canada about what HTC named their phone.
Amazing skills how you hacked get.cm to work out what name was for what phone.

So I was considering selling my Silver/Blue gradient T-Mobile One S to purchase a Black T-Mobile MOA One S and I got to thinking...
Does anyone have this new official T-Mobile Black One S? Not a modified gradient version or an International version being used on T-Mobile.
I'm curious.. What is the hboot version on this new T-Mobile MOA Black One S? I currently have the 1.09 hboot on my gradient blue and I can flash radio/boot from recovery.
I'm assuming this new version of the One S is going to have the 1.14 or higher hboot but I'd still like to find out from someone who actually has the device.
Bump.. nobody knows?
I have the new black one s. Don't know the hboot, but I'm stock unrooted so whatever the hboot for any s4 will be the same out the box

Yeah I'm not usually afraid to try new complicated things with my phones but that guide just seems time consuming and incredibly risky if anything goes wrong.

I'm with you on that and well too be honest even on hboot .14 I don't miss it being lower, thanks to programs like Flash Image Gui flashing kernels and recoveries besides not downgrading radio I'm really not missing out on much. People seem to get stuck up on this for some bizarre reason.
Description:
This mod enables you to switch radios without actually flashing the radio partition.
I am aware the HTC One can currently flash the radio partition via recovery (thanks @he_stheone64) so the usefulness of this mod is yet to be determined, but for now, it offers low-risk possibilities of trying other radios some people would not feel comfortable flashing.
How does it work?
The mod flashes the radio files to /system/mdm. On boot up, if the radio exists in this location, the radio partition will be unmounted and a symbolic link will be created from /firmware/mdm to /system/mdm.
Requirements:
Any HTC One device
Custom boot.img with init.d support
Install:
Flash desired radio zip
Reboot
Profit
Removal:
The mod can be removed by deleting the following:
/system/etc/init.d/00firmware
/system/mdm

FAQ:
Q. How do we add more radios?
A. To add more radios, I need the link to a current firmware.zip/firmware.img/radio.img or the /system/mdm folder of a device on the current firmware and I'll package it and add it to the Downloads.
The radio.img can be extracted with the following command through ADB Shell or Terminal Emulator:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p31 of=/sdcard/radio.img
Q. How can I tell if my current rom has init.d support?
A. Most custom roms have this. You can check for the existence of a /system/etc/init.d folder. I can possibly be persuaded to add init.d support to an existing rom (eg. stock rom). All I need is the boot.img.

Well, the links to the files dont work, says mirror not found everytime.
