"Close all" option in Recents menu - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I've seen this same thing happen on my GNexus, Nexus 7, and now my M8...after changing the DPI, the Close All button always disappears from the Recents menu. Does anyone know a way to get it back?

where is the menu softkey

I'm trying to acccess apex launcher settings from home screen and I can't do it
The menu softkey is usually a series of 3-4 dots stacked up. Either in the lower left next to the recent apps softkey, or sometimes in the upper right.
Oka..
I have seen this and I noticed that with apex and nova the menu button does not show when on home screen.. I have been using aokp and manually enabled menu however once pressed it does nothing.. This would indicate to me that when in tablet mode these launchers disable the menu.. Most likely have to open the application draw then press the menu in top right corners.. OR put a shortcut to the apex settings on your home screen

[Q] How to hide 3 dot menu button ViperXL 3.1

So I just installed ViperXL today and I can't find any way to disable the onscreen bottom menu button for apps that don't have it built in like Facebook.
In CM10 and CleanROM there was a way to have it so I could set up my recent apps key to do multitasking on tap, and menu on long press. By default that would disable the built in 3 dot menu in apps like Gmail but in those roms you can reenable the 3 dots and still use the recent apps key as a menu key.
Is there any way to hide that on screen menu button that shows up at the bottom of the screen in Viper?
Thanks!

I found those options without a problem.
If I disable the Soft Menu Bar, it fixes the problem with apps like facebook and XDA, however in Gmail and other apps I lose the 3 button overflow from within the app itself.
In my attachment, the part circled in red is lost with the Soft menu bar disabled. When the Soft menu bar is enabled, I get back that button but also get the annoying black bar at bottom with the 3 dots in Facebook/XDA. CM10 and CleanROM both had a way to have the 3 dots from apps as well as disable the black bar while having the recent apps key do both menu and multitask.
I believe it is a build.prop change so there is no way to have it show just the in-app menu button

Yes, but there is on stock ROMs...
I changed key binding so long press on recent apps brings up menu, its in venum. Tweaks under buttons right next to cpu tab

I hate how we can't have the best of both worlds with ViperXL 3.2.1. Before, we could turn off the menu bar, have the in-app 3-dot menu, and have the long-press menu button for apps that have yet to update their UI.
Now we have to long-press the menu button for every app, and constantly guess if the app we're using has a menu or not. Some people think this is fine. I don't. I thought the whole point behind custom ROMs and Android was the ability to change things to what we want, and not being limited by decisions made by people who think they know everything.
Lol then find a rom that does what you want or make it yourself

[Q] Setting Long Press Homebutton action?

Hi, i've recently rooted my new Nexus 5, and flashed this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588152
Because i'm coming from SGS2, I thought it would be nice if I could
set an action for long pressing the Homebutton (I want to make it open
the recent tasks screen) but I couldn't find it in the Navigation Bar settings.
I prefer having back, Home and menu instead of recent tasks, and would like
to make it so that press&hold on the home button would open recent tasks screen.
Hope I made myself clear
Thanks!
Anyone has an Idea?
Have you tried gravitybox?

Disable permanentely multi windows...

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920W8) and the multi window key is making me very crazy. I really miss the good old menu key.
Anyways, I've tried Multiwindow Toggle and the Multiwindow disabler and it's not working for me.
My phone is rooted so I'm willing to try anything that will disable it for good.
Thanks!
By the way, is it possible to change the vocation of that button and making it a menu?
Thanks again.
Finally, I found myself the solution.
It was in fact the "recent apps" key that I hate so much.
The solution is "All in one gesture" apk which allows you to reatribuate hard keys fonctions or simply shut them up.
Hi,
This is not a very well known fact, but in some apps I've noticed that if you press and hold the back key it will work as a menu key on stock firmware.
All the best,
~Lord
I have no problems with the back key. I want to disable "recent apps/multi windows" key in the bottom left of the S6.
With "All in one gesture" apk' I can decide whathever function I want for any key but I realized that when I close the application, the "recent apps/multi windows" are still there.
I won't give up until I find the solution for this, which will be next weekend because I swap phones for work.
Thanks anyways.

Car mode - huge navbar overlay

Is anyone else annoyed with the way Samsung modifies nav bar in the car mode? It shows 2 huge buttons - menu and back, hides recent button. But most importantly, it overlays some apps, making any action for those apps in the same area virtually useless, i.e. in waze i can no longer press the "trip details" button since it's overlayed with the back button.
Is there any known solution to this?
