Has anyone been able to get this to work? Every time I try, it seems to lockup my phone and sometimes causes a reboot.

No, but GSAM seems to work OK for me without the root companion. I haven't actually needed to install it for a while, even on my old GNex.

It's a known issue with Windows Mobile in general on all devices. It happens randomly. We don't know what causes it. Hard resetting fixes it.
well i tried a couple different roms but the Juststable is my fave but this keeps happening. any other ideas fellas?

Are you reflashed it or hard reset it already? If so, what have you installed on it? It must be a program causing the issue (since no one else has complained of it.)
i ended up reflashing it, and did not install any cab.s at all and it keep s going to 100%.. now it won't sync to my pc.

What sux is i really like it. I have looked to through the ROMS on your site and the ones i tried i didn't really like, or were missing app/ programs like opera mini. adn i didn't really like the 6.5.
well i flashed the Juststable build 6 version (added nothing to it) and it does the same thing i'm begining to think the phone may have a hardware problem.

If you turn the radio off and soft reset the phone the issue usually goes away. I found that it will happen again if the phone gets reset without first disabling the radio.

Hi,
Try switching kernels.
New 0.2.6 is HERE
thanks for the answer but I'm running faux's AOSP kernel for CM7. Also the reboots didn't start after flashing a new kernel, I've been running 0.2.5b2 since Nov 20 (updated to 0.2.5b3 today - still reboots) but the reboots started sometime during the weekend.
ok I think Viber is the culprit. So no ideas on how I can find out if it really is Viber?
I have the same problem. I tried the stock rom, S-on... and I still have this problem...

Try to look with ES file explorer through your phone storage for /proc/last.kmsg. It should hold clues as to your last unexpected reboot.

There's no such file.
I couldn't view it in ES, I use Root Explorer.
It's in the system folder>proc> then open last.ksmg as a text file.

Did you install any apps after you restored to stock ROM? Was wifi enabled or were you on 3G at the time? What ROM, radio, and RIL do you use (before restoring stock ROM)?

I also used Root Explorer but there is no last.kmsg file. I've also searched for last.kmsg with Root Explorer.

Hey
I've actually had the same issue! So I think it started with the OTA HTC update that went through sometime last week. Since then I've noticed my phone just randomly restarts by itself all the time (like 3-5x in a day). Ive also noticed that the phone is getting very laggy especially while using certain apps like facebook or Messages and then sometimes I think it just restarts out of low memory resources. never had this problem before the OTA update! Glad to know that I'm not the only one.
Now if we can just figure out how to go back to the good 'ol days....

I've been running CM 7 since mid September though. So in my case it's some other cause.
I'm thinking it has something to do with networks. Because the majority of the crashes occur when I'm away from home/not stationary. I haven't been able to catch a crash with logcat since it almost never crashes (2 in total) while I'm at my computer. So now whenever I'm at the computer it is connected via USB and logcat is running.
Also the crashes very rarely (once or twice maybe) occur while I'm using the phone. Most of the time it crashes or has already crashed when I press the power button to wake the phone.
yeah. not sure.. id agree with everything youre saying about my crashes as well. Except i am running stock, no root. So, we'll see.

It may not be there unless there was an unexpected system crash/reboot. I have had my phone "hang" for some time until I gave it the three finger salute, but it didn't actually crash as such.

It's happened several times in the past three weeks, seemingly at random. I'll either be texting or playing a game, and boom. Phone goes unresponsive for about 4 seconds and the boot animation pops up. Sure enough, it's reset.
I have no idea how to get logs or I'd post them. Googling around at the time of this post.
Nexus 5, black, 16g, AT&T and (rooted) stock ROM.

Not to my knowledge. If I am it's because an app I installed did it.
How can I check to be sure?

It's happened 4 or 5 times with Hangouts, at least once with Chrome and I don't recall what I was doing for the rest, I just made note of it resetting when I didn't intentionally turn it off myself.

Would there be a quick way to restore my phone to the condition it's in (preferably without the hangups)? Because I'd like to avoid that option if possible.
I pulled a logcat off my phone (and let it run for quite some time, 77k lines. Eesh) and there's a few warnings that kept popping up that I don't know how to decipher since I'm not an Android developer.
-[edit]-
Sorry, stock kernel. Only non-stock thing I've done is root it and installed few apps that either need or work better with root permissions.
I find it odd that the phone would do this randomly considering you are running stock ROM and kernel and all you did was root. With that being said a factory reset is your best option. Use titanium backup or helium.
What method did you use to root?

Dealing with a constant freeze up about every ten minutes that lasts up to 30 seconds at a time. It seems to happen with apps that connect to the internet. I am running MM. Even when I was running LP it would do this just not as much. I've tried closing background apps and that doesn't help. It also seems to only happen on WiFi. Any suggestions?

Ummmmm Factory reset....? If that doesn't work your out of luck, should have stayed on Lolipop, because you can't re-flash a TOT anymore on MM.

This was happening to me and I took my sd card out and it didn't do it again

yeah. I can relate to the SD card issue... plug your SD card into your PC, backup any files, and do a full format. not a quick format. I recommend formatting with DISKPART in windows terminal if you know how. that's the only way I know its been fully formatted. BUT only do it this way if you completely know what you're doing. I don't want any issues blamed on me. USE DISKPART AT YOUR OWN RISK

Welcome to the android world!!! Also known to others as the Jedi or the light side.
So, I've been having issues with getting reboots. Usually during the night when using the phone to play during sleep. I've had Oneplus reinstall the rom, I've reinstalled it, started from scratch, but every night it still reboots. Youtube is the only thing that I can think of. I'm just trying to see if anyone else has had issues like this. Oneplus is probably going to have me pull logs and see what's going on.

Using that, it's software, like I figured. Just wish I could get logs and someone who understands them to help figure out what I need to do to stop it.

It does pass. However I am not sure how to pull the logs from the 6. I would really appreciate the help, as this is an annoying issue. Feel free to message me if you like.
I have a similar problem as well.
On Stock rom:
Stable with no reboot or freeze. Battery drains very fast though. 50% with screen off overnight.
On Stock room with any custom kernel (Smurf, Franco, ElementalX):
Phone periodically reboots. Not sure where to get reboot logs. When I check logcat, can see many errors pertaining to lights and memory not able to free up. Not sure if it's wifi related or not. When phone is plugged in, it does NOT REBOOT
On any custom roms (AOSPEx, Havoc, LOS etc):
Phone freezes with white LED. Happens usually within 10 minutes with screen off. After troubleshooting, turns out WiFi causes the issue. With WiFi off, phone is stable for as much as 12 hours and more. Battery is excellent. When phone is plugged in, it does NOT FREEZE even with WiFi on.
Not sure why WiFi is causing issue for all the custom ROMs I tested out there.
Currently I'm using stock rom and manually debloated and with Magisk.
If anyone has a clue on the freezing issue with customer rom is much appreciated.
