Hi
So, I have HTC Sensation XE, S-OFF, 4EXT recovery touch, HBOOT 1.17.1111
I've flashed CM-9.1.0-pyramid (because I figured that XE and non-XE are the same and can be flashed with the same firmware)
It didn't work, after boot .. it works for 5 seconds or so and then it freezes and reboots
I also tried CM-11-20140115-Albinoman887-pyramid .. and I encountered the same problem
I tried wiping everything /system /sd-ext /cache .. and Factory reset
I still had the same problem.. I thought I'd flash a stock ROM but I couldn't find a proper step-by-step guide
any help on how to solve this ?
I noted that every time the phone reboots.. it's clock is always "12:00" and it's always "the first time booting" .. tutorials on how to use the new android and stuff.
any other info you might need to help me I'm ready to provide.. I just can't think of anything atm
Thanks in advance.
you have old Hboot you need to upgrade your firmware to 3.33 universal .. after that format all particion except sd card and you'll be able to boot up your phone
Here is a guide for flashing firmware and the firmware , read carefull and check the md5 sum of the file before flashing http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
Thanks that worked ! :good:

Hello,
I recently bricked my Sensation. It is an unbranded with CID 102.
After several tries to get it to ICS 4.0.3 I left my device useless, at first it boots every 15 seconds and remains stuck in cont. reboots. After fullwipe it hangs at HTC bootlogo for 15 min and more.
I´ve used revolutionary 0.4 an I managed to get full permanent root with htcsupertoolv3.
Clockwork is installed.
In recover I am unable to mount everything, it will just not mount - updates will stop after 1 sec. Log says, it can´t access certain directories.
Most of the partitions won´t mount such as cache partition sd-ext, it will always say error monuting cache, error mounting ...
I can´t flash anything at all, the PG58IMG will go allright at first sight, but afterwards it won´t boot.
Anything I can do at this point?
]
Thx in advance.
Well I can tell you it's not bricked, if you can access hboot/recovery, so good sign I hope have you tried running an RUU?
Sent from my Sensation using XDA
Yes, I have. It will run and finsih with no errors. Still no boot and no mounts.
Tried tis: RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.50.401.1_R_Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2_release_228602_signed.exe
Also I have CID 1111111
Yeah it definitely isn't bricked, I'll see if I can quickly come up with a solution!
1. I need some more info first, did you flash an ICS rom before running that P58IMG.zip? or were you on gingerbread (Android 2.3 - sense 3.0)?
2. according to what you've said, you can't mount your SD card at all in the recovery?? (that sounds so weird) - So I'm assuming you can't flash roms or anything? It doesn't make sense because you can still flash the P58IMG.zip...
3. Have you tried flashing the old P58IMG? The older firmware 1.17? If worse comes to worst... This last method should fix it. An RUU Should also fix what error you have going on right now as well! Let us know how it goes!
1) I was on Gingerbread and HTC Sense 3.0 and I followed the guides step by step - first I did all OTA updates
2) I can access SD-Card it, but every firmware will fail, in hboot it will went through but in recovery it will stop at 0%
3) Yes, I tried every versions available

After checking multiple forums I did below steps, sounds unusual but worked perfectly for me, you may want to try this at your own risk:
1. Used htc dev unlock method and then using 4ext recovery formatted all partitions except sdcard
2. Installed custom rom Android Revolution HD 3.6.13, which is a 2.3.4 rom as no other 2.3.x worked, can be downloaded from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14191938&postcount=1as multiupload is not working so couldn't download any rom from there, so used above one
3. Reboot sensation, used revolutionary to get S-OFF
4. RUU was not flashing so I did this : Relocked my phone by running "Fastboot OEM lock" with phone in fastboot USB and then reboot the phone
5. From http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193033, Used METHOD 2 - ENG HBOOT [both Flash ENG HBOOT & Download an RUU and then Flash RUU (rom.zip)]
6. Once phone boots up, run the STOCK RUU.exe as normal (required else phone would not install OTA though downloads it without problem),
7. Once done and rebooted, used commands from http://theunlockr.com/2011/10/03/how-to-unroot-the-htc-sensation-4g/ to put S_ON back
8. Result , I am relocked, S-ON and on STOCK with OTA installing without problem
Thank you, that did the trick.
I am now on stock ROM. Everything ok. It took quite a while, but thx again for help.
To be sure not to mess up again, what to do next? I am confused about the size of the roms, are they really such small (14 MB)?
And what does that mean: "Best way is to place Firmware PG58IMG.zip, ROM and Superwipe script on the root of your SD Card."
Where to get the "ROM" ans "Superwipe script"
a ROM will be much bigger than 14mb so what you have its wrong. You can get super wipe from Mikes Android revolution thread. And putting it on the root of sd card means on the sd card and NOT in any folders. Can't post links for you sorry. I'm on mobile version
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using XDA
So this is what I try:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
Step 3) The Firmware PG58IMG.zip is 14MB, so I put it on root. It also contains the wipe.zip file
But what about the "ROM"? Sorry, I´ve flashed nearly every Windows based HTC in the past years, but all Win Mobiles ROMS are only at one piece, but this I just don´t get it worked on android.
So far my unit ist rooted an has CID 11111 and 4ext installed.
Ok, I just found the links here:

Hi guys. I have tried to flash a new kernell and from that moment I cannot boot my phone as it goes into a boot loop. Even though I have tried eyerything mentioned in this forum nothing worked! I even have two nandroid backups and when I restore any one, the restoration goes fine but then, when i reboot,I get into a boot loop again.
DO YOU PLEASE HAVE ANY IDEAS what could be the problem?

Hi,
Are you sure about your:
FIRMWARE:3.31.401.6
3.31 is a very unusual number
As mentioned above check your firmware because any ics rom will require 3.33 or 3.32 firmware, 3.33 being the Newest. So you MUST have either of those firmware to run ICS. Some roms require 3.33. So I would update my firmware to 3.33. You can update the firmware by placing the firmware file pg58img at root of SD card, pull battery, put battery back in, press volume down and power until the menu comes up, it will recognise the file and ask to continue. Press power for yes. Once it's finished updating you MUST remove the pg58img file from the device or it will continue to try an update over and over. I will send you a link on firmware. Please read over the instructions carefully! Hope this helps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767 you can find your firmware and institutions here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861
Find AssKickers S-ON rooting and flashing guide and i will have some info about boot looping. You just need the boot.img from your ROM using cmd if I'm right and your phone should boot back up.

I decided to join the xda-developers community after I spent literally 9+ hours trying to get my phone to work and looking for the answers and couldn't find any for my situation. I am hoping an experienced user can give me some much needed answers!
The reason I am trying to flash the ROM in the first place is because I recently replaced the LCD/Digitizer from another HTC Sensation but for some reason I am not able to connect to T-Mobile network. I thought maybe it was the antennas and I had knocked something loose when I was repairing it when the WiFi wasn't working either, but when I took it to my parents house and used their WiFi it started working. So I decided to flash the the Android Revolution HD 7.2 ROM and followed the guide from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300. I followed the instructions and was able to do everything but the permanent root but I realized I could just flash the ARHD ROM and have it be rooted that way. I flashed the ROM and when it was done it got stuck at the beats audio screen. Then I realized I hadn't flashed the 3.33 firmware first and thought that was the problem so I went back and wiped partitions and data and flashed it to that and then flashed ARHD but it still got stuck at the beats audio logo. So I went and restored it to the backup I made on clockworkmod recovery but then it would just reboot to HTC logo constantly so I flashed to 3.33 again and it still does that same thing. I've flashed ARHD and 3.33 firmware multiple times and it either gets stuck on the beats audio logo or keeps rebooting from HTC. So now it's on 3.33 firmware and I'm leaving it there until someone can help me.
When I did the S-Off, in the beginning it said "revolutionary" at the top. When I flashed the ROM it said *LOCKED*. Now it says -Firmware-3.33-.
This is what it looks like on my HBOOT.
-Firmware-3.33-
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.27.1100
RADIO-11.24A.350431_M
OpenADSP-v05.6.0.2226.00.0418
eMMC-boot
What do I do next? I know for a fact that if I flash the ARHD ROM again it will get stuck on the beats audio logo. I can't even start the phone on the 3.33 firmware because it restarts over and over to HTC logo screen. Also does anyone think flashing to this new ROM will get my phone to connect to the network again?
PLEASE HELP!!

I only needed to flash to 3.33 was because it was for Android Revolution HD. I'm not sure if you need to do that for the elegancia mod.
How did you update the firmware? Did you use the PG58IMG.zip method and if so have you removed it from your SD card afterwards? I know ARHD is best used with 4ext recovery too but i'm not sure it's a necessity. Check out this thread. There maybe some info on it.

put the firmware zip in the root of the sdcard
use any file manager and navigate to that zip
press and hold to the zip until it pops up a menu
go to proprerties
then you will see calculate md5 checksum or something like that
then check if it is the same with the one from the firmware thread
it is important because if you mess up with fw probably you will damage your device

Hi,
That is odd.
You say you have flashed ARHD ROM.
That should install 4 EXT recovery.
So,that means the flash did not work.
Have you actually had a ROM working on your phone since you changed the digitizer?
Also,there is a md5 checksum checker in 4 EXT.
Have a look around the CWM recovery,to see if there is one there.
How do I check md5 sums from recovery?

Hi,
With your s-off status and current 3.33 firmware, there is no reason why it should not work.
Maybe ,the phone was not re-assembled properly?
Or did it work before the 3.33 firmware installation?

Hi,
OK.
Let's go about this a different way.
Look HERE
2. Flashing a recovery
1.Flash 4 EXT recovery.
2.Go into 4 EXT recovery/wipe/ and format all partitions except sd card.
3.Flash ARHD ROM again.
The firmware is not preventing the installation of the software.
But using a different recovery, and wiping properly ,may get the ball rolling again.
Once you get the ROM up and running, you can look at the radio/ril combination.

1. I went into clockwork mode (recovery)
2. I wiped system

Now here is the real problem. Everything went smooth, and before installation I was told that the first reboot can take a while. placed the PG58IMG.zip file to the root of your sd card...then go to bootloader and let the bootloader check it and confirm it to updating it..
after that..you can installing new custom recovery like 4EXT, CWM or TWRP again..to replaced the corrupt recovery before..
