I currently have the Infuse 4G and am looking to use one of my upgrades. The Note seems like it would be a bit too big for my tastes and I like the skyrockets dual core processor. I haven't heard of any new ATT phones coming out in the immediate future so that leaves me with the Skyrocket. Are there any pros/cons or any major issues with this phone? Will I notice that much of a difference coming from an Infuse?
Thanks in advance for your input
I just got my black one and I like it as far as I can see the development is picking up don't know how it was before but I'm happy. I had sprint before but before that I had a atrix and ran some roms from a dev here. You won't regret it.

great phone, and as said before dev activity is picking up ALOT. Dual core S3 with LTE, what more could u ask for. The speed is ridiculous, I could never go back to 3 or 4g. Honestly, my only gripe was battery, but rooted and undervolted I run over a day as opposed to 7 hours when I first got it. My advice, get it
Do not know if it is me but the radio seems just a bit on the weak side for my liking but otherwise I like it just fine.
May get the Note in time for the bigger higher resolution screen and battery life.
the note is only like what 1/2" bigger screen .. skyrocket is great though but Im not on lte where I am now it did however kick arse when I was in tampa 2 weeks

What everyone else said. My only gripe with the phone is the screen at low brightness is dark areas has lines running through the screen.

Galaxy Nexus has them too...the New iPad uses a Sammy screen, I bet it might have those lines too.

I really doubt Apple would let that fly...
I wouldn't have gotten one at this time of the year. Holding out for the S4 based or tegra devices may have been wiser. Although, I personally wouldn't get a tegra myself...

No reason to be like that to him. Besides, you're wrong anyway.
The difference in actual battery consumption between the two screens ends up being equal to or less than the difference between the 1800ma/h battery and the massive 2600ma/h battery. So yeah, the Note has better battery life out of the box.
Of course, everything can change depending on over/under volting/clocking, ROMs, custom batteries, etc.
Great phone. Fast, okay battery, and the community is pretty good. My only complaint is the screen line issue at low brightness but that's not really a huge problem in every day use.

Hey guys
I'm kind of out of the smartphone loop. A couple years ago I had a HD2 and it was a beaufitul thing, mainly due to the amount of different things you could do with it. However about 7 months ago the touch screen stopped responding and so its not just a beautiful paper weight. For a while my friend leant me her old desire which worked nicely for me with a custom rom. However she had to take it back and now im stuck with my old SE z530i...
So basically im looking for something equivalent to the HD2 in terms of its abilities and what not, I do like high spec phones but Im not willing to go as far as the £500 I spent on my HD2. Is there a phone out atm between the levels of a desire and a Hd2? Whats the galaxy nexus turned out to be like?
Cheers!
BUMP
Good luck with that.....The HD2 is probably the most developed phone out there. You can always just replace the screen? I have heard it is pretty easy.
Just hold out for the SGSIII, it will be out this month. Of course it is not as highly developed but at least it can see when you look at it.....
Oh, and Bumping is prohibited. If someone wants to answer you, they will.

It's hard times for ppl like us... i changed after 30months with a HD2 to the HTC One X.
the One X has a perfect screen and amazing specs, it's really cool, but development seems to be very slow, and nowhere as near the HD2
I'm really thinking of going back to the HD2! it was just pure freedom, nothing gets near it
i don't have much info about the Galaxy Nexus though. you could visit the forum and see yourself

Hmm I know what you mean, you can do anything with the HD2. Maybe I'll just pay for the screen to be replaced on it. I don't know but I'm not a huge fan of the Galaxies, they seem to plasticy and tacky, maybe its cause im used to the metal behind of the HD2.

There seem to be enough devs, but we still don't have S-OFF. not many are looking into this prob..
we still need to flash the "boot.img" kernel via the PC, with phone in fastboot mode..
this, everytime when we change to a ROM with a different base.
but we have a working CM9 ROM now, I'm very happy with it.. I can't stand sense >.< and most ROMs are just stripped down sense ROMs, or modified ones
but maybe i'm just too spoiled from the time with my HD2.. >.<
I was in town yesterday and I had the chance to try out the HTC one X. Its specs impressed me and its build quiality seemed closer to the HD2 than anything else I'd seen. Anyone got anything bad to say about it?

like i said, the device itself is amazing, only bad point is that you can't exchange the battery, and it doesn't have a SDCard slot.
Besides this, develpment is slow, but i'm satisfied now, that we have a really good working unoficial cm9 ROM.
Theres even an AOKP ROM now, wich i want to try soon
But if you like sense, there are enough ROMs for this available..

I think Google has dropped the ball with Android by not requiring phone manufacturers to enable their hardware to run strictly vanilla Android without any difficulty. If Google had done that, every phone which has the basic hardware for a specific version of Android would have it now. Open Source Android and Linux is a farce because manufacturers have made them essentially closed source due to not releasing the source code for their drivers, etc. May as well have an iPhone.

At least the iPhone is less frustrating because it is a closed system that can't be modified except by Apps and, even then, only those which comply with Apple's requirements unless the phone is jailbroken. I've got an iPod Touch 2nd generation, jailbroken, which I still use and enjoy using but I highly doubt I will still be using the G2X for as long.

I wish I had your optimism. These 3 that are playing in the arena are good. VERY good, but I don't believe Google or LG or nVidia has given us enough to work with to get the radio going. Call it the pessimist in me.

A iPhone ?
You know what's nice with android phones ? You want a overclocked kernel, I can make you one. You want good battery life, I can make something out for you. You want your favourite theme, download it. You want to install a incompatible OS update, give thanks to your devs and they'll make it compatible for you . You want a ROM with nice flames when it boots, then give thanks to your favourite ROM cooker out there.
You want a iPhone, then you get a iPhone, that's it. Gotta like apples.

lol idk what to say but i love your kernal dude..its quite the work and im in full support for you lol i use both cause both OS's are nice just that customization is fully apparent and available on android and i love android for that but for utter smoothness i would go with apple and I know ull hate me for that (( but its true u cant deny it -.- anyways ANDROID RULES still in my case i still love android more so dont be too hard on me if cm 10.1 gets stable with the rom and kernal i will throw my iphone away and never use it again (; lol damn i wish i learned C and C++... :/ too bad i only know pascal and some basics of java :/ dontt hate

That's just silly. To, as you say, "use it for what it's for" would include modifying the device in any manner that pleases you. So installing an iOS look alike on an android phone is one of the many reasons people purchase android driven products. If you prefer that there are limits to what should be done with another person's device then perhaps it is you that should be looking at getting an iPhone.
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.
I totally agree with 1bad. To each their own...

Its just my opinion of how I would prefer my phone to look...I've used MIUI before and I liked it a lot.....but SMARTISAN just seems a bit more deviated from the "Android" look and its not even completely a copy of iOS....and I wouldn't waste money on an iPhone....I would just get a Find 5 or some other high-end phone if I could (I can't but I still like my A2 a lot)

Mate 7 was released October 2014. Five Months to go for it's first birthday. Go get an HTC or a Sony. LOL
LOL
Well this beta will the first EVIDENCE of the existance of Lollipop for Mate 7...
oh my god this frustrating just release it now please.. I am desperate for some performance increase and better GUI speed...
It gets more and more frustrated, the frustrating has been freezed earlier cause I have been amazed by the big screen experience and good screen, but now when I am used to it I am more frustrated with the slow performance and multi tasking.. I know most people will not notice it but if you work fast and switch between apps fast constantly you get frustrated... Lollipop hopefully improve some things.
The people who do not demand better speed they just use their phone slow, and do not notice the lag.. the lag is for me noticeable.
I assume you already tried changing the power saving mode, considering the default one isn't optimized for performance...
Also lowering the animation scale in the developer options.
Hi guys,
I trust Huawei are sure that by May the new firmware release LP.
