"Turn on USB storage"
i tap that and the circle just loads and does nothing.
trying to install a new ROM
help please
ALSO,,
when i try to download a ROM on the phone's browser it says :
No SD card
An SD card is required to download CleanROM 4.1 DE.zip
bump
Reboot to recovery and mount storage/adb from there. You should have expected CM10 to be buggy as hell...since it's barely even an alpha right now.
that still doesn't work... tried to mount it in TWRP and it doesn't show up in my computer

64 GB card and 4.2.1

Running 4.2.1 Baked rom on an GT-8013, I have a 64 GB Micro SD card in the tablet. Now android won't read it (doesn't show up in storage) nor will it mount it when connected via USB. It shows up with 4.1.2. It tells me the card is damaged but will not format it or mount it. Any suggestions?
Apparently Samsung added extfat support in their roms but the google based roms don't support it (or didn't last time I looked).
Hope you have the info backed up cos it is unreadable now...

[Q] SD card wont show using CWM

Hi
Flashed my Galaxy Note N7000 with STunner 4.2.2 JB rom on NX kernel and the SD card epic saga began.
The rom is awesome in every other aspect but this
A little background:
After flashing the above rom and kernel, the usb transfer speed is too low < 1mb/s (32 gigs class 10 card) so I searched and decided to try multi mount sd. This increased the transfer speed to normal but the phone would reboot midway of transfer. SO multimount sd failed didn't actually fix my problem. Next heard people telling me to transfer files in recovery (CWM):
1. The card mounts in recovery without any error (sdcard and usb storage tried both) but I cannot see it on my pc (Win 7 64 bit)
the card is formatted asd Fat 32 using windows and I have also tried sdformatter for windows (found this suggestion on the forum) but still it doesnt show up on windows ! Is it really that difficult to transfer files onto sdcard via USB ????
Any help on fixing this problem is highly appreciated. My aim is to transfer files via USB onto SD card at normal speed (10-15mbps) and not @ drop dead crawling speed (500kbps to 1mbps). Help people !!!!!!!

Are you finding your device in the device manager? Download the adb package and try to see if your device shows when using the command "adb devices"
It it shows up it is some driver issue.
Unplug the device, uninstall all usb-drivers you can find.
Reboot
and plug in the device again and hope it's working
I have also found out that it's a bit tricky to get working, but with just trial and error you will prevail!

Thanks for he reply mate!
Well here is what I have done and seems to be working finally for USB transfers:
Download and install multi mount SD
Connect USB and mount sd crads using android (Touch to copy files)
Safely remove the mount cards from windows
Unmount USB from android (touch to stop usb storage)
remount sd crads but use multi mount this time
And yes enable the option for the device to stay awake while charging
Thats it getting transfer rates of 20mbps without any problems since then

For your 'before', it is because you are on Samsung stock ROM. Samsung Kies only recognises devices running Samsung-based stock/modified ROM. Custom ROMs are not based on Samsung ROM, so Kies cannot detect them.
There is actually an exploit in CM11, try to turn USB debugging on while uncheck MTP and PTP. It works for me to detect my external SD card although official fix is still in progress. If this still does not work for you, you can either take out your external SD card and plug into your card reader to transfer or search for file transfer apps / software that uses wifi as transfer medium.

Try an app called Airdroid. With it you can transfer files using your web browser in your computer.
CM11 doesn't support USB (yet)
On Nexus 4 or Samsung n9002 in CM11, you can't even check/uncheck MTP and PTP. USB is not supported if you have these devices. The USB computer connection screen simply crashes. :'(

[Q] SD card is blank/usb storage damaged

hi.
I've searched the whole net even here but nothing...
the problem:
when I connect my Adata S107 flash memory with OTG cable to my phone,
in Omni 4.4 rom it says : sd card blank or has unsupported filesystem.
in stock 4.3 it says: usb storage damaged it may need reformatting.
the flash memory has no problem in my Laptop or even in Stock 4.1 ! but in Android 4.3 n 4.4 ...
I've tested in other phones with Android 4.3 like Note 3 and again I got "sd card blank or has unsupported filesystem." notification.
with other Flash memories I have no problem. It's the first time with Adata S107.
btw,phone is Sony Xperia V.
anyone one has no Idea which is the problem?
