I like many others made the mistake of updating to 4.3. After the update, I've noticed massive battery drain, even while charging. Is there a solution to this issue yet?

Download and install wakelock detector and see what using your battery.
I noticed that even while connected to the charger (which worked perfectly before the update and works perfectly for my other devices),the device will charge for a bit and then disconnect from the charger and then charge again

I have read many users having an issue with the battery indicator showing 100% all the time after charging until the phone is rebooted. I charge my phone overnight and it will tell me I have 100% battery even after several hours of use. After I reboot it will update the battery indicator and show the correct value being much lower of course. I am using the Samsung provided charging adapter so it is not a 3rd party charger issue. I am still running Gingerbread as I have heard of many other issues with my carriers (Rogers) ICS rom. Has anyone had this same issue and found a resolution to it? It is quite frustrating because if I forget to reboot in the morning I usually kill the phone part way through the day without realizing it.
Cheers

If you've recently installed that Slimkat baterry stats might be "broken" or deleted. Ty to discharge baterry till the phone turn off itself then recharge it to 100% without interrupting. And then you will see if it gets better This happens to me almost everytime when I install any ROM.
But it might be a deep sleep issue it depends how much you are using your phone.

Hey thanks for the reply, I've been using SlimKat for 1-2 month, i have already tried draining the battery all the way to 0% and charge it to 100% in off mode without interruption but still the charging is really slow and the battery drain is really quick!

Well .. it might be Slimkat bug. I dont know, I've never tried Slimkat for a longer period. Now I'm using CM 11 latest Varuns build and battery is perfect.. normal using (1,2GHz and 5hours of GPS navigation) .. One and half day of working. You might try it and you will see if it gets better.
Hi,
I'm running CM11 and within the last couple of days I've noticed my status LED is stuck in the green charging state. I should post a pic of my battery usage graph - it looks pretty stupid. The battery level is going up while it says it's on battery and it thinks it's been charging for the last 8 hours or so while it's been unplugged. Has anyone else seen this? I have one of those huge MPJ brick batteries that comes with a bigger battery cover. Hardware problem? Software problem? Or maybe I just wipe my battery stats and it's fine. I'm kind of hoping I actually unlocked God Mode for my phone and the battery won't ever run out.

I have seen this on older cm builds. Its definitely a rom thing. Usually a full reboot fixes this...till next time. And if I remember correctly it won't happen everytime. I hope this helps you.
Huh, haven't seen that issue in a while. In my experience, simply plugging it in and removing the plug a couple of times will reset the LED. A full reboot would fix it as well.

I rebooted last night and that seemed to do the trick.... for now. I think it eventually started happening again the last time I fixed it by rebooting. We'll see.
It has been just 20 days, and I have just realised that there is a charging problem with my Honor View 10.
At night, when I turn off my phone and put on charge, the phone starts charging but in the morning i. e arnd after 7 hours I see that the battery is around 70% and still its shows that its charging but actually the battery is draining because after sometime when I check it again the battery is like 68% or so and it still shows charging P. S in whole process the phone is switched off and this happens every time (around 6 to 7 times). And I am using the same charger that came with the phone. Phone is updated to the latest firmware.
I have done the factory reset but still the same problem persists.
Please you guys check and let me know if anyone else is also suffering with same issue.

Better you should visit company service center or probably honor official forum for support from company... As far as I think it is your handset problem either check with ampere app from play store to see how much current it is taken when charging , so either your charging port is damaged , maybe charging IC or maybe battery issue... Not sure though..

There is charging related bug in the latest update. Also battery drain is higher. You will need to wait for next update.

Apr 2018.. Same charging issue. Shows fast charging but doesn't
This post is from Feb and I bought this phone now in Apr. I am facing the same issue. The fast charging lasted for a day and then it is very slow.. Max 750mah measured via Ampere app. Earlier it used to be excess of 2500mah when it was fast charging.
Have you find any solution to this issue?
So I unplugged my phone and noticed my battery was draining and the phone was getting hot. I know I have a dying battery but this was crazy!! I figured it out that in the background my phone was downloading and installing a security up date.
Well obviously if it happens again when not downloading on installing updates, it could be battery or device-related. Heating and draining issues can be caused by old batteries (2 years or more) or a phone that needs a factory reset.
