Hi,
I recently got my Teclast P85, and managed to soft-brick it after installing busybox 1.19 with the installer (previously had bb 1.18.x). It starts booting, shows the teclast boot logo, and hangs there.
I'm unable to reflash using livesuite because my PC no longer recognizes the tablet for reflashing (I've previously reflashed it few times, to ICS, and back to GB, so I think it's not technicalities). Previously, when I held the menu button, inserted the USB plug and pressed the power button few times -> live suite would run and offer to reflash. It no longer does it (I hear windows "ding" when I plug the USB in, but I no longer hear the 2nd one when doing this procedure).
I've read about reflashing via the OTG port, but wasn't able to find any further info about it.
I'd appreciate any pointers or suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Well, I managed to reflash it afterall. I used the same procedure as described above, just tried few more times, and finally it worked...
Got same problems, its broken line in init.* script that uses /system/bin/busybox for mounting /data, just wait some time(idk why) and reflash in FULLFLASH mode pressing back/menu button and connecting to pc, NO POWER BUTTON!!!
i was trying to upgrade my firmware with odin, i have a gt-i5500m. my upgrade got disrupted a little way through and now my phone is no good. i only get half a screen. when i go to check the about phone in settings, everything says unknown. when i plug it in to the computer it does nothing so it dont connect to the usb. is there away to fix this or did i create a door stop. any thoughts are welcome. please help.

i just root my samsung galaxy w,everything is fine after root n then i uninstal some aplication n then i do factory reset,n now my phone can't instal anything to my phone.help me plzzz, what should i do???
it seems that your phone has a harware problem. The best way is to bring it to the next nearest service.
hi, I tried and it will start in download mode, but it isn't detected by the computer. so i cant seem to get root. odin just keeps asking to connect phone. i am running kies and it doesn't see the phone. I tried the recovery button sequence and it reboots the phone to home screen.is (recovery and downloading) states the same, or are they different. i'm new to all this so i'm not sure.
I recently flash my Xperia Mini Pro with ICS ftf File.
SK17i_4.1.B.0.431__1249-7380.ftf
after flashing the device according to ( the link to the post cannot be written since I'm a new user! ) the device worked fine. No flaws at all. I've to say that, I'm a beginner in android development and wanted to restore the device to factory settings couple of time. and even after resetting ( about 8-9 times ) it worked fine. Nothing went wrong. ( except for one thing that is, the thumbnails of the pictures are blurred. )
Then I tried to root my device using flash tools. but I realized at that point I cannot connect my device to flash tools using volume down key. ( Connecting the usb cable while pressing volume down key )
After realizing the problem, I tried to repair it with the SE Update Service but in that, the same thing happens. ( When I connect the USB cable after switching off and while pressing the volume down key, the phone boots up and goes to charge mode. only the red LED is displayed and after few seconds, PC companion recognizes it as a mobile phone connected but, notifies me that the memory card might have been removed. )
that's all the response I get when I try to boot the device from flash mode. I even tried an application that makes the device boot in flash mode, but half way the application crashed. ( an android app. )
what can I do to this problem. first I thought something wrong with my volume down key, but it works fine when the phone is switched on. I tried everything that I could find in xda, or any other forum. ( tried switching USB ports, Cables, tried different computers, reinstalled PC companion, SEUS, Even Windows, and even tried with different key combinations such as pressing volume + home or pressing volume down + Power on and everything imaginable. ) :crying:
1. Does any one have thins issue on xperia range of products
2. How did you over come this issue
3. Is it a so called USB Brick on my device
4. If so, how can I repair it to work
5. Is there a way to flash the device by placing the .ftf file in the MicroSD card.
Please help me on this matter since I have lot of trouble getting this sorted out.

I tried the app provided but nothing happens.. I''m using windows 7 and is it compatible with windows 7?
I have a dead lenovo IdeaTab. It powers up and will hang at the Lenovo screen. The only way out of this is to use the reset button. I have tried to do a wipe/factory reset with no luck. When I tell it to reset to factory default, it hangs up with the android picture on the screen just stays there. Again with the reset button and it freezes on bootup at Lenovo screen.
I can hook it to my computer as a USB drive but is sees nothing. I am at a loss.
Any ideas how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.
PS I cannot even get to the settings menu to switch to dev mode ... I have Win XP as my operating system so if you give instructions to fix this thing keep that in mind.

Yes It hangs after recovery as well. Data wipe completes then I reboot ... goes straight back to Lenovo screen and stays there.
Up volume + power is recovery mode
Down Volume + power is test mode.
Wifi fails... everything else seems to test good.

Have you tried connecting the pc while in Recovery mode?
If you have go to Device Manager on your pc and look if it sees the device. If it does it will probarly see it as "unknown device"
If it sees it as Unkown Device,
Look for the Lenovo drivers for your phone. Install them.
Reconnect your device while in recovery. This time your tab should be recognised.
If it has install ADB. I recommend this: Minimal ADB&Fastboot
Launch this and type ADB devices. If it recognises your device. Well thats great. If not and your pc has recognised it. Then try messing in recovery. I had this same problem once with a old tablet which was from polaroid and didnt/barely gave any drivers at all.

Ok I have found the device and can read from it with ADB.exe I have downloaded source code in rar file and can extract. There is one primary file called Kernel with multiple files under that. How do I transfer that to the tablet or is there another method through ADB to restore to factory default.
Thanks so much for the help.

Not so fast
If you flash only the kernel you shall achieve nothing.(at least not in this case because you have another problem)
But before I continue. How did this happen?
And are you maybe using a costum or the standard recovery?

As it was described to me by my daughter ... A new game was downloaded and while playing that game or another game, it froze and would only reboot to the Lenovo screen and never get any further.
I have the download from lenovo. Apparently it is the full package but I am not sure exactly what to do with it.

Flash the firmware, the instructions in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2772760
Bmorn V11, Goclever A73, Eken T02, Aldi Minitab, MyAudio Tablet Series 7, ASK 748SP at the very least look the same and are probably the same tablet. So much so that I ordered a Bmorn touchscreen for my ASk tablet and it worked. ...until I factory reset it from settings a few weeks ago, since then it started freezing up ocasionally and now I get stuck at one of the 3 boot logos but I never see it boot all the way. I hope it's not hardware failing.
I found a button behind the microphone pin-hole after trying vol + and power + home and the like for hours. Can someone please tell me how I get into what i presume is called recovery mode ? I tried pushing that hidden button with the power button, but it doesn't work. Is there even a recovery mode for this device ?
Someone claims there is no recovery mode and vol + and power should work ? So what's the deal with the button behind the mic hole ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406429 "The device was strangely rooted when I bought it from the retailer. The instruction manual strangely says to boot into recovery mode by holding Vol + and the power button. I called the support company and they said that a recovery needs to be installed first. Using Root Explorer there is no recovery folder. (/recovery) - is there supposed to be?"
I'm on linux, do I really need windows to flash this ? If I fail, can I try again ? I used to get along computers really well, but android is currently totally confusing me. I found several images that might work, but I really don't mind trying out unofficial images. If I can try them one by one I'll figure it out eventually, but I'm afraid I might brick it or something. I've read about flashing bootable SD cards, but I guess that won't work here ? Nor will the images that are supposed to be flashed to an SD card work ?
I guess I'll have to bet on an image and find a Windows (I'm on Linux) machine and the rest is trial and error ?
Is there a page somewhere I could read to figure out the basics ? I feel really confused by all of this. Thank you !
I also found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23769918&postcount=3 which explains how to flash this, but maybe i don't need to go through that if there is a recovery mode ? And it also seems like those instructions are for t01, and it doesn't involve that hidden button at all. I guess this isn't what i need, right ?
I guess this should work:"Turn off your tablet.
You will find upgrade button located in microphone hole on the right side of your device. Press this button using e.g. paper clip. Next connect your device to your PC while
holding upgrade button" (http://www.goclever.com/data/upload..._d4d0bde076ab401d6cb98bb1b77713165b6ffb11.pdf).
I can't turn off my tablet. All I can do is force it to quit by holding the power button for 5 seconds, is that enough ?
I managed to get adb and although lsusb lists the device, I can't connect to it with adb. After a minute or two lsusb doesn't show the device anymore either. Do I need to have debugging enabled or something ? I was hoping to reset it with
Code:
adb shell
recovery --wipe_data
