Got a goophone 5s and have uninstalled programs but the icons stay on the screen, I have double clicked on the icons and the icons flash and an X is there to delete but when you press delete, the icon remains even after reboot, any ideas on how to remove these.

I have recently been changing my cons, both with BetterCut and Folder Organizer.
However, the stock message icon refuses to change over with either option. Every time I try to change the icon, it will appear on the screen for maybe 2 seconds and then it will disappear and the old stock icon will appear in its place.
And to compound my confusion, if I switch over to LauncherPro, the icon switches fine. It is only when running Sense as my home launcher that this happens. tried a re-boot to no avail.
Any ideas?
I was messing a bit with the phone and i added some more shortcuts to the main screen but now i cant find a way to remove them..
any help?
Tap and hold the icon you want to remove, you should see a trash icon pop-up at the bottom. Drag the icon to it.
Hey,
I have a problem with the launch bar with my One S.
The thing is that, the shortcuts i drag on the launch bar will also appear on the lock screen, but one icon doesn't change on the lock screen.
I had my girlfriends quick contact on the launch bar, changed it to an app, but on the lock screen, there is still the shortcut for her quick contact.
It only changes in the lock screen, when i make a folder out of it. Single shortcuts turn back to her quick contact(only on lock screen, when unlocked the icon is what i changed it to)
Funny thing is that there is only problem with the 2nd-from-right slot. All other slots change as i want.
Any ideas? Have tried all sorts of tehniques, like switching the lock screen shortcut option on & off, restarting several times, cleared cache of lockscreen apps, changed lock screens, etc.
Factory reset definately would help, but this is a last resort
Thanks in advance
My Samsung unlocked S7 just received a Nougat update. Looks ncie but one big issue I am having right away (and feel stupid I cant figure out):
I can no longer remove App Shortcut Icons from my home screen (using Apex Launcher). Used to be I long press on the icon and have an option to drag to "Remove".
Now when I long press I have option to Uninstall the app, but not to just remove the icon from my home screen pages. Any help?
EDIT/UPDATE: Totally weird. The "Remove" option has not reappeared and I can again delete icons from the home screen.
I have accidentally deleted the settings icon on my screen (I swiped up too hard and fast and deleted it instead of opening it)
How can I navigate to settings without the icon?
How can I restore the icon?
I'm able to access the settings on my device but swiping down on the notification area and selecting the settings icon.
I didn't know it was possible to delete the icon from the app drawer...
Of course!!!!
D'oh!
Now that I have found settings again (thank you thank you) I'll go about recovering the icon to the "desktop"
Arrggh!
I can't restore the shortcut to the "desktop" and because it's still a new-to-me phone, I like to have it there.
It is in the list of widgets, but when I try and swipe it to the desktop nothing happens!
IMO the easiest way to recover lost or deleted Android app icons/widgets is
1. To touch and hold on an empty space on your Home screen. This method should cause a new menu to pop up with customizable options for your device.
2. Next, select Widgets and Apps to open a new menu.
3. Tap Apps. From here, you can choose the app icon that you previously deleted by mistake.
4. Hold the icon and drag it onto a space on your device. (You can rearrange it later.)
Your app should now be exactly where you want it to be, and it’ll be ready to use right away.
